1 out of 5 eggsWish I could recommend...but I can't

Pros: Excellent button design in my opinion. I've owned about a dozen of these controllers, and I am very used to them, however, please see Cons...

Cons: These are so cheaply made with sub-par parts. Every single one of these controllers I've had ends in failure in about six months or semi-regular use.
It's always one of two things:

The cord breaks off the back. Not from being thrown around or abused, but just the cord hanging off my end table with the force of gravity is enough to wear this out after a few months and it just breaks off. I've got a drawer full of these controllers that have glue holding the cord on.

Second issue that always happens is the trigger starts to malfunction. When you press the Left trigger, it activates, then also activates the Right trigger. That's a big deal when you're playing games, and is a perfect example of shoddy craftsmanship/electrical design.

Other Thoughts: SAVE YOUR BOX. If you buy one of these, it's going to fail within 3-6 months with one of the two things I mentioned. Without the original box, you can't get a return.

Speaking of trying to return, About three weeks ago I put in a request to have two controllers replaced, and got some auto reply about how they were busy because of the holidays, so it would be a little longer than usual for a response. Okay, I get that.

However, after 2-3 weeks, I don't get a response, but instead get a survey asking about my satisfaction of my ticket. that leads me to believe they likely just closed my ticket.

i really WANT to love this controller because I do think the concept and button layout is perfect. However, I'm getting so tired of having to deal with the failures and lack of proper support.

5 out of 5 eggsRazer never fails...

Pros: It has a nice fit. Super long cable so you can move back from the desk. Great design. Comes with an awesome carrying case and even a toolkit for it. It works with just about every game I've tried it on as well.

Cons: The only con is that it has made me so happy I can never buy anything but this again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent controller

Pros: Rubberized grip and responsive buttons and sticks. The Colored buttons illuminate and have a mechanical click feel. Yet, are very responsive. I really love this controller. Get it if you are a PC gamer. Most games on steam will work out of the box with little to no programming/key mapping.

Cons: This controller comes with extra buttons that you will probably remove like I myself did. Its usually expensive but newegg has good sales all of the time.

Other Thoughts: I really like this controller. Its wired so it won't eat batteries. It won't randomly disconnect on you. The rubberized controller feels better and more secure in your hands. I use it for PC gaming. Mostly GTA games and plat formers. The little green thumb stick condoms are awesome! I find it overall mroe responsive than my stock wireless controller. I'd day its an improvement and this is the one to get if you are a PC gamer or love your 360.

1 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasts

Pros: buttons feel great. triggers feel good. The added buttons on the on the back and underside being programmable are a nice tough, and being able to remap things like L3/R3 to the back are really nice.

Cons: Unfortunately responsiveness, which is what matters, is definitely lacking. I originally purchased one year ago when the right trigger started acting flaky. I spoke with Razer and had it swapped for another one. The following one had the same symptoms. Pressing down the right trigger, you either had to hold down extremely tight, or it wouldn't respond, if it all, and the gradient of pressure didn't match what the computer was reading. I had made a video to show Razer the exact problem that was happening. They agreed to resend me out a 2nd one. That one worked fine up until 14 months later, and now the right trigger again barely response at all, most of the time it now doesn't no matter how hard I press.

Other Thoughts: While Razer seems to have decent customer service replacing my original one twice, It's now just over 2 months outside the 1 year warranty and it's dying again. My 5 year old Xbox 360 controller is sitting next to it working like a charm.
Razer was supposed to be the "gamer's company" that stood for good craftsmanship and quality, but I have to recommend against anyone buying a Sabertooth. At a price over double that of a regular xbox 360 controller, it should last _at least_ as long as what it's trying to copy, not stop working just after the warranty expires.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Clicking ABXY buttons
-Gamepad case
-Two prgrammable buttons and triggers (latter are removable)
-Buit-in software, two gaming profiles, adjustable stick sensitivity
-Separated D-pad buttons for more control in fighting games

Cons: -Black plastic gets dirty easily and it's hard to clean
-I've exchanged it once when my right trigger started lagging, but Razer support was really nice and understanding to me

Other Thoughts: One year ago I bought Razer Sabertooth for my PC after using Razer Onza TE for two years. After my delivery came, I rushed home - I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! So as soon as I got my shoes off, I unpacked it and inhaled the smell of a premium plastic and immediately plugged it in. Xbox logo started flickering, buttons lighted up along with LED-screen saying Razer. Right there I knew we would get along.

Since then I used it for all kinds of games: Dark Souls II, Dead Rising 3, Ryse and Shadow Of Mordor - you name it! And for each game I launched I was able to create my own custom profiles to make these games as enjoyable as possible. My go-to technique is binding sprint to both extra triggers for easier multitasking while on the run. But that's not all! I can also define sensitivity for both sticks using built-in software, which is unbelievably great when going from first person shooters to action games. Oh, and did I mention there's also a fricking case for it with special pads for both sticks made from extra soft rubber with tactile thingies on it so you can have fingergasm while enjoying stuff from your Xbox Live or Steam library!

Altogether Razer Sabertooth is the greatest gamepad I've held in my hands, and I've held so much of them I've lost count AND my job, which was "not holding gamepads".

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Pad

Pros: Wonderful, even if you do not care to use the settings on it the switches are superior along with the connections. Everyone should have a nice game pad for their PC these days.

Cons: The main 4 buttons are tiny keep that in mind. If you have summersausage fingers it could be an issue.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat controller

Pros: Great feel and the clicks of the ABXY buttons are so satisfying. And the programmable sensitivity of the sticks is a great feature.

Cons: Kinda wish that the extra programmable buttons had more options than just the buttons on the controller. Would be better if it had compatibility with synapse 2.0 and allowed programmable macros.

2 out of 5 eggsGood when it worked... but not for long

Pros: Re-mapping buttons.

Cons: Broke after 2 weeks of playing game like gauntlet and blur, none of which are punishing towards the remote button or sticks.

Other Thoughts: Razer will suggest that you speak with newegg if your product is defective within 30 days so you will need to pay for shipping to RMA.

at this point It costs me less to simply try and fix the issues with the stick myself and get a standard xbox360 controller.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.. usually

Pros: Highly responsive and comfortable until it wears out.

Cons: I read the reviews and I bought it anyway. I love PC games, but I love the comfort of a controller over a mouse and keyboard. When you first put this controller in your hands, it's going to feel so great. Shortly soon after you'll realize that you just spent $80 dollars on something that wasn't worth 25. Not only do they give you 'protective covers' for the horribly uncomfortable thumbsticks, but those same barriers wear out in less than a month. When was the last time you used an Xbox controller and found the residue of the thumbstick (after an hour of gaming) on you thumb, in the crevices of the controller, and anywhere else you touched in the last hour. How do I know? Because those covers are lime green and now that stuff is everywhere. Is it responsive? yes. is it comfortable with the thumbstick covers? yes, as long as you dont wear them out. Unfortunately, this takes a solid week of gaming. I work 60+ hours a week and I wore them out. I'm not a button masher or an angry gamer, but my xbox controllers could take a beating and not miss a beat. This is total garbage. If you enjoy the feel of a controller, buy a console and use one then. To me, the Xbox one controller feels great, as does any xbox controller that isn't the original. I'm a converted Playstation gamer solely on the comfort of the controllers. Some PC games (Total War, etc/.) are just that, meant for PC. but if you decide to play any sort of sports game or any user-button-pressing-sensitive-game like Dark Souls, just buy a console and get your fix. I guess my mistake was that I believed I could have my cake and eat it too by building a top-notch PC that I could enjoy my keyboard/mouse games as much as my controller games. So happy I did the 2 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, you know you want to. Just don't complain to Razer when you're disappointed.
