4 out of 5 eggsGreat controller

Pros: Great feel and the clicks of the ABXY buttons are so satisfying. And the programmable sensitivity of the sticks is a great feature.

Cons: Kinda wish that the extra programmable buttons had more options than just the buttons on the controller. Would be better if it had compatibility with synapse 2.0 and allowed programmable macros.

2 out of 5 eggsGood when it worked... but not for long

Pros: Re-mapping buttons.

Cons: Broke after 2 weeks of playing game like gauntlet and blur, none of which are punishing towards the remote button or sticks.

Other Thoughts: Razer will suggest that you speak with newegg if your product is defective within 30 days so you will need to pay for shipping to RMA.

at this point It costs me less to simply try and fix the issues with the stick myself and get a standard xbox360 controller.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.. usually

Pros: Highly responsive and comfortable until it wears out.

Cons: I read the reviews and I bought it anyway. I love PC games, but I love the comfort of a controller over a mouse and keyboard. When you first put this controller in your hands, it's going to feel so great. Shortly soon after you'll realize that you just spent $80 dollars on something that wasn't worth 25. Not only do they give you 'protective covers' for the horribly uncomfortable thumbsticks, but those same barriers wear out in less than a month. When was the last time you used an Xbox controller and found the residue of the thumbstick (after an hour of gaming) on you thumb, in the crevices of the controller, and anywhere else you touched in the last hour. How do I know? Because those covers are lime green and now that stuff is everywhere. Is it responsive? yes. is it comfortable with the thumbstick covers? yes, as long as you dont wear them out. Unfortunately, this takes a solid week of gaming. I work 60+ hours a week and I wore them out. I'm not a button masher or an angry gamer, but my xbox controllers could take a beating and not miss a beat. This is total garbage. If you enjoy the feel of a controller, buy a console and use one then. To me, the Xbox one controller feels great, as does any xbox controller that isn't the original. I'm a converted Playstation gamer solely on the comfort of the controllers. Some PC games (Total War, etc/.) are just that, meant for PC. but if you decide to play any sort of sports game or any user-button-pressing-sensitive-game like Dark Souls, just buy a console and get your fix. I guess my mistake was that I believed I could have my cake and eat it too by building a top-notch PC that I could enjoy my keyboard/mouse games as much as my controller games. So happy I did the 2 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, you know you want to. Just don't complain to Razer when you're disappointed.

2 out of 5 eggsUnnecessary

Pros: The Sabertooth looks nice and has a good feel to it. The modular cable is very sturdy and heavy duty.

Cons: Razer's quality control is notoriously bad, and the Sabertooth is no exception. A common issue with these - and an issue I experienced with mine - is that the right trigger gets stuck. So you press the right trigger and it behaves as though you are pressing it repeatedly even after you have released it. It also will spontaneously activate on its own.
There are six programmable keys on this controller, which sounds awesome at first. I was going to use it to assign keyboard commands or macros. You can't - these buttons can only be used to mimic other buttons on the controller. They are completely useless.

Other Thoughts: Between Razer's quality control issues and some unnecessary and useless features, this controller is at best a waste of money. Just buy a regular xbox 360 controller and save yourself the money and the headache.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat concept, overpriced junk

Pros: +Awesome layout and remapping abilities

Cons: -Horrible quality
-Can only store 2 profiles
-Too expensive overpriced piece of junk

Other Thoughts: This is my third Razer product and it's going to be the last. I had a standard Razer Onza which only after a few months of use, started to act weird by registering random inputs, then the right trigger stopped working every then and now, until I eventually rage threw the piece of junk on the wall for it to break into little pieces. Then, after a while I bought the Onza Battlefield 3 tournament edition and it eventually faces the same fate because of how terrible it was.

A little while later, the Razer Sabertooth was released and it was received and reviewed better than the Onza so I decided to give Razer a THIRD chance (third time is the charm, right? NOPE!). Now, after less than a year of use, the left bumper decided to break and get stuck whenever it feels like it.

Verdict
Razer has a lot of great ideas but some of the worst quality control standards I've ever experienced with tech products!

Bonus
I have an original Microsoft Xbox 360 controller from 2006 and it still works as it did 8 years ago!

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money

Pros: Comfortable

Cons: I sent the original controller i purchased to Razer for RMA in march. the controller sent back is now having the same problem the right trigger is not responding correctly. when you push it down it registers normal up until you get to the trigger held all the way down then stops regetering. I have read about 50 or so reviews on Newegg and other websites about the same or similar issues this was my first Razer purchase and I am very disappointed. i have used this product very gently I am by no means a hard core gamer who is hard on my equipment. I will not be purchasing any more products from this company!

2 out of 5 eggsWouldn't Recommend

Pros: -The design is nice. Felt comfortable pretty fast.
-All the buttons are responsive, along with the joysticks.
-Customizing the extra buttons and sensitivity is easy and fast.
-The cord is pleasingly durable and long.
-It looks spiffy.

Cons: -The first problem I had with this controller was with the game I bought it for, Trackmania 2. I'm still not sure why, but whenever I have the gamepad plugged in, the game with freeze somewhat randomly. It usually happens at least once whenever I'm playing it. Although this is the only game that's affected, it's a huge pain.
-The next thing I noticed was my sensitivity would sometimes change automatically. I'd check the setting, and it would be the same as before, but turning it down would set it back to normal. Then it'd change back to my normal setting by itself and I'd have to adjust it again.
-The 'a' button is now starting to register twice when I press it. I have to be careful when using it now so it doesn't screw me up in game. I've been using the controller almost daily for 6 months so far.
-The trigger buttons feel strange. They can be pressed easily if you're resting your fingers on them. I removed them right away.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice controller, but I don't think it's worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggsRazer Sabertooth Elite Gaming Controller

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted.

Pros: Nice controller with a better dpad than a normal 360 controller, plus the extra programmable buttons were nice.

Cons: After about 5-6 months, the RB button broke. It was under warranty and Razer replaced it rather quickly. The RB on the replacement, however, felt like the same had happened to it, but they had done some sort of fix for it. Felt weird, but it worked. That was about 4 months ago, and now it is broken, again.

Other Thoughts: It is a nice controller, but seems very fragile, or at least the RB is. I'd say buy at your own risk.
