2 out of 5 eggsToo weak for darksouls

Pros: Tactile feedback is amazing. Programmable button and macros make this controller fun to use. Backlit button make it really awesome for those black room play throughs.

Cons: The buttons although amazingly fast response times and great tactile feed back lack in the sturdiness department. It's like walking on eggshells with these buttons. Press too hard and you will break them/make them unresponsive. Continuous use has made the buttons completely unusable. Buttons when pushed are no longer responsive and no longer have tactile feedback. The right hand trigger and right hand trigger button no longer work after 200+ hours of gaming. Sadly the controller was meant to be used lightly and not intended for rigorous gaming.

Other Thoughts: Would be amazing if Razer made a controller that actually lasted longer then the warranty. Made by gamers for gamers, come on....

2 out of 5 eggsAn inferior game pad

Pros: Lots of nice features, and easy to program buttons.

Cons: Stiff thumb sticks, comparable to original Xbox 360s.
Right trigger started working intermittently after about 2 months.

Other Thoughts: I read about the right trigger problem previously, before I bought it, but thought it was a case of bad luck for those customers, and decided to give it a try. While it is a descent design with the rocker triggers underneath, they did not improve the thumb sticks for more precise movements, and the right trigger started acting up way too soon. After these started acting up, I went back to my old PS3 controller, which has much better, smoother, thumb sticks, and found that the Razer Sabertooth did not aid in my gaming at all, but made it suffer because of its stiff thumb sticks. The rocker triggers were very good, but not enough to overcome the thumb stick deficit, and especially the right trigger breaking so soon.

Not a good controller. I saw Razer telling others to send it back and they would replace it because of the defect, but I do not want another one. First party controllers are much more durable in my experience. And the stiff thumb sticks are like that by design.

4 out of 5 eggsRazer Sabertooth

Pros: A,B,X,Y, buttons are click instead of push . Dpad is seperated into 4 direction great for fighting games and such. The extra two shoulder buttons are fantastic. can jump and crouch without taking thumb of aim stick.

Cons: The extra buttons can only be mapped to buttons on the controller. When I first purchased this controller it was for elite dangerous and I was under the impression the extra buttons would be read as actual extra buttons. (the extra buttons can be very convenient once you find use for them .) The white pain on the D-pad wore off after just a couple hours of play. The usb cable that attaches to the base of the controller and then into my pc was always touchy had to be careful about wiggling the cord too much or it would blink on and off for a second. After a few months of ownership the problem has gotten to the point where I can't play anymore.

Other Thoughts: Overall I have loved this controller. I am waiting on a label from fedex through razer rma support. I will update my review a couple weeks after my replacement arrives.

3 out of 5 eggsResponsive - but broken

Pros: Intuitive design, easy to program and reprogram, luxurious braided cable

Cons: The wire on the top of the controller is detachable, and thus fragile. Supposed to be for easy travel, but just shortens the lifespan of the hardware.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes the controller wires get in the way and get tripped over by people. You would imagine with the way xbox wires are designed, the part near the USB should disconnect before anything harmful happens. Luckily the console was well secured, but the wire ripped from the top of the controller, causing irreparable damage and exposing the pins.

Overall I have to say it is a very nice controller, but keep it safe or don't use it often because it's expensive and easy to break.

2 out of 5 eggsWorst wire ever!

Pros: Feels nice
vibration is good
profiles are a nice added feature

Cons: Wires broke after a year (useless)
Buttons where sticky when they arrived and never got better ( over a year owning it and it still sticks)
its another half developed Razer product...

Other Thoughts: If they had just done the standard rubber wrap on the cord im sure it would have lasted longer.
This was the last ever product I will buy from Razer
( Also bought a deathstalker ultimate keyboard only to have its LED screen and buttons stop working after 6 months, and they wanted to charge me to fix it)

5 out of 5 eggsRazer Sabertooth Elite

Pros: - Very premium build quality
- Amazing A,B,X,Y buttons, they feel like cherry MX blue switches, I love it.
- The analogue sticks feel very robust and the rubber on the tops of them is possibly the grippiest material known to man
- Bumper switches have a very nice clickiness to them, similar to the ABXY buttons
- Triggers have a lot of travel. I play a lot of driving games and i love having lots of travel on the triggers to feather acceleration/braking
- haptic feedback/vibration feels pretty on-point

Cons: - I found the rocker switches on the back of the controller to be kind of annoying and in the way, so naturally, I removed them. The fact that they're removeable at all should be a pro, but unfortunately the rubber inserts that fill the holes after you remove them don't seem to fit quite right and keep falling out

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Controller

Pros: Remapping of six (6) additional buttons
Extremely comfortable controller for gaming
Sensitivity adjustments for the joysticks even over the adjustments within games

Cons: Placement of the extra bumpers is slightly out of reach

1 out of 5 eggsLoose Sticks

Pros: The Sabertooth controller is easily my favorite 360 / PC game controller. I have nerve damage that prevents gaming with a mouse and keyboard. I've used other controllers but they just don't have the ergo design and the buttons that I need. The Sabertooth excels at both with it's reprogrammable extra buttons. Paired with Pinnacle Game Profiler I can pretty much play any game.

Cons: The plastic sticks are not properly bound to the stick mechanism underneath. This really messes with accuracy. they could be fixed by gluing the sticks to the base mechanism but that would void my 2 year warranty. Mind you, this is fresh out of the box.
I have already RMA'd the first one and I'll probably need to RMA this one as well.
I have two other Sabertooth controllers that do not have this issue. I did notice that there are minor differences between the older and new Sabertooths though. I'm wondering if these are knock-offs, Razer had a bad production run or they simply reduced the quality.
I'll update this score (if possible) once I get another replacement.
The Sabertooth controller is the best controller I've ever used - just hoping that this is a bit of bad luck.
