1 out of 5 eggstypical razer quality

Pros: decent sound and mic. lighting effect was cool, but I usually turned off the lights. pretty confortable.

Cons: was great while it worked, but it did not get much use before it died. wife gave it to me a couple years ago, and I never opened it till I needed a headset with a mic a few months ago. worked great for a few months, then died. kinda typical of razer as I have had many razer products over the years. this will be the last razer product I buy as there are better brands for the same price. razer used to be great, but the past couple years, they have gone downhill.

2 out of 5 eggsOwned for 6 months.

Pros: Nice sound, cool lights, sturdy connector.

Cons: After aproxematly a month, the microphone jack on the headset wore out causing the mic to always drop from your mouth. At around 6 months the ear pad clips started to wear, causing the ear pads to fall off at the smallest impact.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound.

Pros: Was really impressed with the sound, not true surround sound as far as what I'm used to but comes real close.

No loss in detecting enemy location by sound and good bass.

Perfectly clear sound when speaking into mic and really great for listening to music as well.

Cons: None to lose an egg for, would be nice if they were true surround but still great sound nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: I'm used to my Tritton Pro 5.1 surround sound Headset so I was hesitant at purchasing a simulated surround sound headset.

I was not let down, great headset with great features.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: customizable lights on headset

Cons: sound
sound leakage

Other Thoughts: Used for 2 days and both days when i had them on for about 30 - 40min i started to get a headache because they are really tight on the sides of the head, and the bottom part of ear pads do not cover up your ear so they are open from the bottom part of the ear.

2 out of 5 eggsSorely Disappointed

Pros: The headset looks beautiful, and it fits quite comfortably on my head. The materials and build of it are high quality. I don't see it breaking anytime soon.

Cons: The Driver, firmware, and software support for the headset is horrible. I'm tempted to sell or return the thing because it's hardly useable. At the latest driver set, the headset doesn't actually start playing audio for several minutes. When it does, there's strong static backdrop. The Mic is extremely quiet over VoIP and in recordings, even with boost up all the way. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Razer's various driver and firmware and I can still barely get the bloody thing to work. Highly disappointed that such a nice headset is being ruined by shoddy software work.

4 out of 5 eggsRazer Banshee SC2

Pros: It downloaded everything it needed, including drivers through windows. Simply got to desktop, plugged it in, and windows did the work for me.

Cons: Slight discomfort when wearing for long periods of time. A little heavier than most any other headset I've owned. But overall the discomfort and weight are almost a non-issue.

The only real issue for me is the mic. It doesn't seem very loud no matter what settings I change around. Like you were hearing me at 50% all the time no matter what I do. Though if you were playing something loud, I doubt I would be heard over the mayhem. Though this could be my fault entirely. I've owned the headset for under a week. I am sure there are bugs I need to work out.

Will review again after I have used it a month.

Other Thoughts: First Razer I have ever bought and I am impressed. Best headset I've ever bought. Period. I've been gaming for 20 years.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Headset if you can get it on sale

Pros: Pretty awesome headset. It has lights on the side that can be customized to a bunch of different colors. Microphone is also pretty good. It runs on usb. The braided cord is pretty nice but is on the shorter side around 5 feet. Fits my head pretty well.

Cons: Pretty heavy compared to my older Creative Fatality headset. The cable is on the shorter side. Also the whole outside is made of plastic but i can not complain for the price i paid.

Other Thoughts: Buy it if its on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!!!!

Pros: -the sound is aaaaaaabsolutly amazing...had the arctic p531 before this and 5 times as good no joke
-fits perfectly
-you can actually see the lights while playing too and they are nowhere near annoying they are just amazing
-mic is veeeeery clear...asking ppl on calls with skype
-very comfortable
-amazing sound right from plugging it in...didnt have to change any setting...other than lights haha red white blue for the win
-much much much better than turtle beaches and ear candy
-has instant mute mic and mute sound buttons and mic and sound volume buttons much easier than alt tabbing while in game to turn music down

Cons: -the cable could be like 6in longer but its still problems...longer would be better but o well...not in the way of anything
-there was no trial like at gamestop like there is with the turtle beaches

Other Thoughts: back when i first saw them they were $120...i didnt want to buy them b/c i wasnt too sure about them...but well if i knew it was like this i would have bought them for $76.99 kinda like a steal...only other headset worth getting is one that is like at least double the price

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: -Braided Cord
-Long lasting gold USB
-USB headset, good if you were using on-board sound
-The lights can be turned on/off
-The lighting is very customizable

Cons: -Cord is somewhat short
-The USB connection would be a con if you have a good sound card

Other Thoughts: Mic and headset volume control will be behind your right(mic) and left(headset) ears.
