2 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed By Sound Quality

Pros: For many, many years, I have used Razer earbuds, & for the last...probably five years, it's been the Moray line. I had a number of pairs, but eventually the delicate rubber that creates the bud became ripped in every one, & the replacement larger/smaller-than-default buds felt uncomfortable. I don't blame the mfgr for the tearing, mind. I leave them on my desk & have a cat who is drawn to them. Anyway, after using Morays for so many years, & enjoying previous Razer products, I was eager to check out the Hammerheads, & purchased a few pairs.

-while I disliked the sound (see cons), I was able to fit the Hammerhead earbuds onto the Morays. Yes! Maybe I haven't looked around as thoroughly as I could, but I was unable to find replacements for the Morays without purchasing the cord apparatus. So, to me, this made the Hammerhead purchase worthwhile - not great, but worthwhile. I'd certainly hunt down some Morays next time from somewhere. FWIW, I also wasn't excited about the prospect of sending two open pairs & one sealed pair of Hammerheads back overseas, ergo I'm keeping them.

-to go along with the point above, as this helped convince me to keep them further, there's four sets of earbuds per pack, two of them the default size. I'm using the split-style buds in all the Hammerhead pictures, & then there's three sets of the rounder style.

-Sound isolation is still excellent.

-Personally I like the case better with Hammerheads. It's harder and smaller than the Moray case.

Cons: -The sound was terrible. The only thing I can compare it to is when I have music or what not running through my laptops cheap speakers. Tinny, tinny, tinny. Treble overload, bass nearly non-existent. I messed about with my equalizer, but cranking the bass and relative levels made it sound muddy, as opposed to smoothing out the high notes. I tried two of three pairs on multiple devices, &, after resetting my equalizer to its default state, also asked a friend to compare, Moray vs. Hammerhead, on the same devices. They had the same experience.

Other Thoughts: Obviously, I cannot recommend this product.

5 out of 5 eggsLove them

Pros: The green color of the cord.
The build quality of the earbud themselves.
They sound impressive.

Cons: The only complaint would be that the 3.5 mm plug is somewhat fragile, it seems like it was pressure fit into the metal but it must have wiggle out a little from sitting in my pocket, its slightly crooked now, not the biggest deal still functions.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking at these versus the hammerhead pro just get the pros, I wish i would have gotten them instead now for the inline mic.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Earphones.

Pros: This headphones so far are pretty sweet. No music I've tried out has been muddied like I heard they might be. But after listening to them with both ears in i did notice one thing.
Both ears in - 10/10
one ear in - 7/8 - 10
They aren't as immersive or really as good in one ear as they are in both. This might be the norm, but it seemed strange to me.
Sound Isolation is crazy good. It would take a crazy amount of noise to even make a whimper while wearing these.

Cons: Like i said one ear in isn't as great. So if you wanna talk to friends you're gonna have to sacrifice some sound quality. (but i guess that was obvious anyways).

Other Thoughts: I thought by the looks of them they would be uncomfortable. But these are by far the most comfortable earphones I've ever had. The moray (razer) earphones I had before these were incredibly uncomfortable to lay sideways in bed or trying to sleep with them at all. But with these it's like an extra pillow, the bi-flanges are really comfy. Even at extended use.

5 out of 5 eggsBest iv'e ever had

Pros: Great build quality
Great sounding
Sound cancelling
Lasted 10 months

Cons: Ear wax builds up in the ear grates
Uncomfortable after extended use

Other Thoughts: When i bought these earbuds, I wasn't expecting as much as I got in terms of quality and longevity. I had abused these buds for 10 months before the bass finally gave way and just died. The build quality is amazing (exept for minor paint wear) and didn't ever break even after the unnecessary violent actions that these things have taken. the main problem with these is that the grates clog with earwax, making it very hard to hear anything and since there is no way for me to clean them; so i took a toothpick and removed the grates and everything was good for the next 6 months.
well anyways these are awesome and i will definitely be ordering another pair in the near future

2 out of 5 eggs"Okay" (Very Honest Review)

Pros: The build quality of the machined aluminum parts is absolutely superb. The box they come is highly overdone which is typical of Razer products.

Cons: Where the actual cord meets up with the 3.5mm jack and the buds themselves is a little cheap and reminds me of 9$ earbuds or worse if thats even possible. The sound is very tinny and bland (not bassy at all) not sure why they are called hammerheads they sound like this across all of my devices, phone, laptop, and high end gaming computer.

Other Thoughts: I've already had them turn a few heads but they really don't deserve that kind of recognition to be honest. The sound is decent but I feel as though the Skullcandy titans I had before these had better bass.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: Great sound with rich bass and loud low notes, perfect for your average basshead. Great build quality as I have come to expect from razor, one of my favorite features is how there tangle free so now I don't open my backpack to a big birds nest

Cons: One of the earbuds blew (I did run them kind of hard) however it was kind of my fault because I used apps like power amp to constantly pull there full potential (they got kind of warm most times I did this) and also I didn't use the carry case they came with

5 out of 5 eggsBest IEMs I've ever owned

Pros: I really love everything about these so far. They look amazing, sound awesome, and are comfortable for hours. Tons of bass! They sound perfect for both gaming as well as music. The extra bass really brings gunshots and explosions to life. Good isolation too. I can use these in a noisy car or bus that I couldn't with other headphones. No sound leaks out the other way either, so I can crank up the music in a silent library without worrying about disturbing others. Includes several sizes of earbuds, the medium pair fits me perfectly, although I couldn't get the double-flanged buds to seal well.

Cons: Only a few small things. The cords could have been flat and tangle resistant, but oh well, they still work fine. These protrude out from your ears a bit more than some other headphones, making using them while laying on your side potentially uncomfortable. These might also need a graphic equalizer to sound their best, depending on what genre you listen to and what balance you are used to.

Other Thoughts: I bought these directly from the razer website since, as of the time of this writing, newegg does not yet have them available to order. Newegg seems to be slow about getting these in stock, but I can't blame them. These headphones are in high demand.
