The Razer Ouroboros employs a cutting-edge 8200 dpi 4G laser sensor for incredible precision that delivers amazing gaming control. Powered by a single rechargeable AA battery, the Ouroboros is capable of at least 12 hours of continuous gaming. It is also ambidextrous. It lets players configure various ergonomics components – from its adjustable arched palm rest to its retractable back panel and interchangeable side grips – to get the best fit for their own hands, regardless of shape, size, or grip style. This ensures users can game for hours on end in complete comfort while minimizing fatigue. Optimizing the balance between quality, durability, and customization, the Razer Ouroboros is the most advanced gaming mouse you’ve ever seen.

  • newegg Fully Customizable Ambidextrous Ergonomics The Razer Ouroboros features fully customizable ergonomics, allowing users to configure the mouse to comfortably fit their hands regardless of hand length, shape, or grip style. This mouse can be custom configured with an adjustable arched palm rest that allows a user to choose from various angles. It also features a retractable back panel that can be set to any one of three positions, as well as four interchangeable side panels.
  • newegg 8200dpi 4G Laser Sensor The Razer Ouroboros is outfitted with the most advanced and configurable sensor yet, the all-new 8200dpi 4G laser sensor. It tracks so precisely; you always hit targets exactly where you need to. It can also be calibrated to your specific surface, and has adjustable cut-off to lift-off tracking, empowering you with more control than ever.
  • newegg Gaming-Grade Wireless Technology with Dock With a 1ms response rate, your command is executed first – even if you and your opponent react at exactly the same time. The included charging dock also acts as the wireless transmitter. The button located at the front of the mouse syncs the dock with the Ouroboros.
  • newegg Dedicated DPI Clutch-Trigger Stay on top of the competition and adapt to the situation with the dedicated DPI clutch-trigger. Hold it down to temporarily increase/decrease the mouse’s DPI, so you can get the exact sensitivity you need for the moment in-game. For instance, when you switch to a sniper to take out a target far away, use the clutch to slow your DPI down; once the enemy has been dispatched with precision, release the clutch to return to your usual lightning fast-assault mode.
  • newegg ARM 32-bit Processor The Razer Ouroboros is outfitted with a 32-bit ARM processor, which means there’s a little computer onboard that is computing everything at an incredibly fast rate. The mouse is quite literally an extension of your hand: every movement you make, and every function on the mouse you execute, is delivered instantaneously.
  • newegg Synapse 2.0 Synapse 2.0 is not just a standard mouse configurator. It's packed with basic and advanced customizable features, so your Razer Ouroboros works exactly the way you want it to. No longer limited by a last-generation onboard device memory, Razer Synapse 2.0 brings the brain of the Razer Ouroboros to the cloud, expanding the number of storable profiles and configurations to infinite, and allows for longer, more complex macros.

3 out of 5 eggsThe wireless mode is killing me, and the battery.

Pros: -nice looking, good brand.
-supports mac

Cons: - the battery is not working, gotta buy a charger and a set of rechargeable batteries.
-the signal between the transmitter and mouse is not working well 50% of the time, very laggy.

Other Thoughts: if you are not playing games on mac you should probably consider other mouses, Logitech was my first choice but they do not support mac

2 out of 5 eggsDon't do it - serious gamers should steer away from this experiment

Pros: 1) It looks slick if you are into the "transformers" look
2) it ca be used left or right handed
3) it can be "customized" via these cute little magnetic wings
4) it's wireless? more below

Cons: 1) it's wireless.... well.. it can be used as a wireless mouse when ever "it" feels like it. You need to constantly "pair" it when ever you puter goes to sleep and shuts down the USB that powers the little Bluetooth/wifi/charge sub station. Give me a freaking break.
2) the wifi/bluetooth/charge station is the weak link. if it fails..then no wireless. so much for that +100$ you just spent. And it just failed pairing a few minutes ago.
3) customized? you need the screw driver that comes with it( or a really small one that you own) to adjust the length. good thing you do this just once. The little wings with magnets feels like a cheap shot. could have saved $10 and the precious metals that made the magnets and just dropped the feature.
4) battery life sucks.and read above. if you power down your puter at nite it may stop charging. which is exactly when it will be dead. every day after 8 hours..dead.
5) the side buttons feel like a cheap piece of plastic. I think they are a combo 3 button config but I never use them as intended. Go ahead and blame me for that, but most of the design seams like a work in progress.
6) Your co-workers get to make fun of you. I could care less but some of you might feel really burned after loosening the wallet by +100.
7) Does not glide across the mouse pad as well as cheaper mice. In the past I never really noticed this but this mouse does seam to take more effort to move around. And not in the nice way.
8) it stares at you when you are not looking. A co-worker saw this the other day. It's an evil mouse to be sure.

Other Thoughts: If I can get my $$ back I would bump it up a star. I actually paid for 3 year warranty. What a waste.
As a wired mouse it would be worth about $30. The Logitech's "righties" run circles around it feel wise. Unfortunately they do not make many good "lefties" so I tried this one out. I think I'm going to find my old Boomslang and gut it.. then drop in new laser guts and try that out. I know it would "feel" better right off the bat.

Remember folks - friends don't let friends buy an Ouroboros (what ever the heck that is)

4 out of 5 eggsRidiculous! But I love it anyway

Pros: This is the first dedicated gaming mouse that I have ever elected to buy. I have used or inherited quite a few, but this one convinced me to buy. The mouse is very, very sensitive but the sensitivity change buttons are very conveniently located. The adjustable palm rest is a nice feature, as are the replaceable side wings. The glides on the bottom are the best I have encountered to date. With the batteries in, the mouse has a very good weight to my hand. I use it mainly in wired mode because I'm an old man. (j/k).

Cons: I wish the LED color came in options, or was changeable. Not a biggie, just a note. I know I said I liked the palm rest above. I also hate it. Let me clarify both points. The vertical adjustment for the palm rest is just what the doctor ordered, I love it. The forward/backward adjustment is a little limited, but I found a good setting for my hand. The complaint is about rotation. The palm rest is giant and flat. Owing to my finger-to-palm ration, the ability to 'rotate' the rest would make the mouse much more comfortable. Not a major flaw, but an issue.

Other Thoughts: Also, I ordered the mouse from NewEgg (duh). Razer will not honor the 30 day warranty for the two dead batteries because it was sitting on NewEgg's shelf for too long. That is pretty dumb. Thankfully I have my own eneloop batteries I prefer anyway.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh mouse

Pros: High DPI with quite a few settings, side button is interesting

Cons: Wireless is a joke....When it works it is shabby at best, I wasn't expecting a mouse that i would play fps with or at least in a competitive way, but this is just plain bad for any gaming :/

I still haven't found a configuration that is extremely comfortable with my hand....It is ok for small bursts here and there but overall not impressed with the customization options to change for grip.

Other Thoughts: If wireless worked better would boost a star....
If comfort worked better would boost a star....
If both worked better would be a 5.
After using mouse I wouldn't pay more then 35 bucks for one now....
I have now ended up using my old death adder again good thing ouroboros comes with a neat case/stand so it looks pretty gathering dust.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, comfortable mouse

Pros: - Fantastic customization options in the software settings: DPI levels, button actions, etc are all very easy to change even on a per-game basis.
- Decent customization options for the hardware itself. Almost any grip style will feel at home on this mouse once you've tweaked it to your liking.
- Very responsive and precise, once you find the right DPI setting to suit your taste/game.
- Easy to charge. Just toss it on the dock whenever you're not using it.
- If the battery dies, you can hot-swap the power cable from the dock to the mouse to keep playing in wired mode.

Cons: - If you don't leave your PC on at night, or have an always-on USB port, it can be difficult to keep the mouse charged. The battery life is usually good enough for a full day of gaming, but you definitely want to make sure you put it on the dock while away from the computer, watching netflix, or any other time you're not using it.
- The mouse cable is a bit heavy when using it in wired mode.
- Swapping out the battery requires a tiny screw driver (supplied) to take off the entire palm rest section of the mouse. Certainly not an option if your mouse dies in the middle of a game, and a bit annoying if you ever need to replace the battery due to wear.
- The (optional) finger rest side plates are a bit short and quite narrow for my tastes. It's too small to fit both my pinky and ring finger, for example. A wider option would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I love this mouse. It has a couple issues, for sure, but I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for a great gaming mouse.

I purchased it together with a Razer Firefly mouse mat and the combination is fantastic. I was looking to replace an old and dying R.A.T. 7 (RIP Saitek, you will be missed), and this was the only mouse I found that looked like it might offer the same kind of customization as the R.A.T. series. It's still not quite on that level and took a bit of getting used to for me, but I'll definitely get another one when this one, eventually, dies.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Incredible design, awesome button layout, and customization parts.

Cons: Worst battery life I've ever had using a wireless mouse, it mostly just sits their as a paper weight, so I favored my G502 as it was indeed the better mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse Ever

Pros: This is a very reliable and well built Mouse. It has both wireless and wired options, and a good Ni Cad battery installed will last a long time. Superior optical resolution, many different controls and very adjustable to fit your hand perfectly. While it is subjective, I love the way this Mouse fits my hand, and I love the way this Mouse simply looks. It looks like a Mouse from the year 2115, and not 2015.

Cons: I do not have any "Cons" to reflect here.

Other Thoughts: I have had this Razer Ouroboros Mouse for almost a year. I am not a big "gamer" so to speak, but I like this Mouse for all of my tasks as well as occasional gaming. The movement is smooth, the buttons and scroll are first class. I came across it by accident at a "Big Box" store, and while I thought the Museum Case packaging was a bit over the top, I knew I was going to buy this Mouse, especially after a not so great experience with another "Big Name" Company gaming mouse that was a real dud. This truly is a high quality Mouse, for whatever you are doing on the Computer. I can't see anything better (for myself) for the immediate future. Well done Razor..!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Perfect Mouse

Pros: For the price it's well worth the money. I'm using it with a Windows 10 gaming system and it handles like a charm. This mouse is completely customizable which makes idea for people with huge gorrila hands like mine. I've had the opportunity to run it through a few online games and its just perfect.

Cons: I don"t see any thing wrong with this mouse, but if you see any lemme know.

Other Thoughts: This mouse is a must hav3 if you're a hammer or otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsSexiest Mouse ever!

Pros: Best mouse I have ever had. A little on the expensive side, but bar none the best looking mouse out there.

Can be corded or wireless. Nice long cord too.

Comes in a cool plastic box with mount for your mouse. So, you can show off what a cool mouse you have or how much money you spent on a mouse. Either way its a cool.

Cons: None so far after 9 months of use. Even synapse has been easy to use. Which is really saying something.
