5 out of 5 eggsKiller Cans

Pros: These are way beyond my expectations. Sound is so good, I put my Sennheisers away! Haven't tried the mic yet. Well made and just plain look cool. Highly recommended. Purchased on sale here at the Egg.

Cons: Cord could be just a tad longer.... and I had to think of something to complain about, lol.

4 out of 5 eggsGood sound

Pros: Good sound.
Fits my Google nexus smartphone.
Nice design.
Removable microphone.
Feels solid.
Nice sound isolation.

Cons: There is no sound control on a cord. WHY????It's 2$ more in a production.....I cannot understand that.
Microphone is bulky but it's removable.
It's not OVER ear cups, it's ON ear caps.
The ears getting hot after an hour of usage, so you need remove the headset.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's good. There is no sound control on a cord the main cons for me but if you don't need it you will enjoy the headset.

4 out of 5 eggsGimmicky Gaming Gear

Pros: Sale price of $60 was a great deal. Superior packaging, this is a reusable box for storage or shipping of delicate items. Great box for those who like to collect boxes. There is no reason why these headphones should arrive damaged unless the package was dropped out of a plane. Look great, comfortable ear pads and the removable microphone is a great addition. Aluminum construction feels like it would hold up better than most plastic headphones, adjustable headband that you can tighten down with thumbscrews. During LAN parties, or even everyday use I am always taking my headphones on and off several times, and almost always readjusting them when I put them back on. These Razer headphones stay in place which is more of a convenience thing to me. Voice quality is great, my friends can hear me in Skype, Vent or Teamspeak with ease.

Cons: Feel kind of flimsy even though they have an aluminum frame. Boomy bass, I had to adjust my EQ to help because it was a little much for my taste. Smaller than what I expected. These do not sit around my hear but rather on my ear. I feel these headphones are "OK" for a stereo headset and "Good" for a 'gaming' headset. There is obviously some "marketing" behind these. Large box, cooler colors, limited edition, BF4, etc. Not that I care what I look like while I'm gaming though. Hey, I still bought them though and would of totally picked them over the black ones anyways.

Other Thoughts: After using these for a full week I am happy with my purchase but would not have spent over $100 on them like I have on others. I have tried several other sets of headphones, cans, earbuds, IEMs, etc. in the same price range that I feel are higher quality and superior to these. But it is what the user hears that counts.

When I want to game I grab my gaming headsets, when I want to listen to music I'll grab my Grados. When I am at work I use the company provided headsets. When I want to study, relax, watch a movie, or not disturb others then I'll grab my Denons or Sennheisers. My point is, the Razer Blackshark headphones do what they are designed for: Gaming. I have ripped these off and dropped them on my keyboard when walking away from the computer in frustration; often due to getting killed in BF4 or when Ghandi denounces me in Civ 5 starting a fourth World War. Try doing that with your Beats by Dre. How many times have you stated walking away from your PC while still wearing your cans? They either rip your ears off while violently slingshoting to the ground and shattering or they just fall and no one cares. These fall, no one cares, and you continue to rock on after you returned from the kitchen with a sandwich.

Paired with a decent sound card and they start to come alive. The other headsets I use for gaming are mainly 7.1 USB style which all have their individual pros and cons. Regardless, I'm pleased with my purchase and hope they last a while. I mainly purchased these as a back up to my backup headsets, some of which are about to meet the trash.
Other headsets I use(d):
Corsair 1500
Logitech G35
Steelseries Siberia V2
Sennheiser PC350
Rosewill RHTS-8206

5 out of 5 eggsgreat headset

Pros: first off the price I got it for was great $60
then the memory foam band and muffs for your ears
the metal band
screws instead of clips to move the headset position
awesome box to from holding it tightly in place very secure
I got a sticker to :D
the sound is great though for phones or PC the bass is outstanding and the vocals are crisp revealed sounds I haven't heard before on normal headsets

Cons: really non expect if you have a wider head or larger ears
after 5 hours it becomes kind of uncomfortable

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: Very comfortable ear pads. I wear glass and they do not push on the ear peices. Sound is great. I was a little startled when the bass kicked in. The mic cancels out most ambient noise and is clear to the other gamers. Hands down the best headset I have ever owned.

Cons: The only con is the length of the cord. I could stand to be at least 24" longer without the adapter.

Other Thoughts: I bought these on sale at $59. Best $59 ever spent!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset

Pros: Fits comfortably on my head, and is good in prolonged use.
The sound quality is great, especially for the price I paid for it (I got this for 60 dollars on sale).
The cord is rather short and is a single audio/mic plug but comes with another cord that connects and splits the audio and mic. At first I thought this was a con, but this actually makes the device's mic usable with phones and tablets.
The mic is ambidextrous so to speak, it can fold down either direction. This makes it so you can have the mic on the right or left side of your face, depending on your preference.
The noise isolation is great. I have a fish tank in the same room as my computer, and the tank makes quite a bit of noise via the filters. With the headset on I can hardly hear the tank, and the mid doesn't pick up my tank whatsoever.
Overall this is the best headset I've owned, and at 60 dollars is/was hard to beat.

Cons: At full price this comes across a bit too pricey for my tastes. I would suggest waiting for a sale before buying this.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent/nice item

Pros: Looks solid enough. Mic is adjustable and flexible even if you want to wear it on your neck. Sounds are good (at least with the on-mobo sound card). At 60 bucks it is relatively affordable.

Cons: This metal clanking noise on both sides of headset can be annoying. I put a rubber piece on both sides between metals so it would not make noise. Also no voice/sound adjustment. Had to rely on awesome keyboard. Might not be for people with big ears.

Other Thoughts: Overall at sixty bucks it can't get better. Quite comfortable but with a few missing features and some flawed design of the headset makes it is not perfect.

1 out of 5 eggsUnderwhelming

Pros: Nice box. Pretty graphics. Glitzy. Comfortable ear cushions.
Note: rests ON the ear, not "over the ear" (like shooting ear protectors).

Cons: Poor audio performance.
Distinctly and unpleasantly boomy, with a pronounced bump in 250 Hz region and diminished response in the 2kHz to 8 kHz region.
Was using a Koss Pro4AA as reference, and an HDTV source (dialog and music).
While the Koss was flawless, and needed no equalization for excellent reproduction, the BlackShark was not so easily tamed, even with a 9 band equalizer.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the original suggested retail price, and overpriced at the sale price.
This is not a high fidelity sound quality headphone unit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality

Pros: Very high quality design, very comfortable, nice noise cancellation and I LOVE the BF4 insignia. The fully adjustable EVERYTHING is a nice touch, even my wife keeps stealing them when we at the desk because they are so comfy for just sitting back watching television.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I am jaded, I also own a pair of Logitech G930 wireless gaming earphones. Wireless such a winner in the comfort and ease of use department. That being said, these come w/ a nice long extension that works very well, though there is still a cable :)
