4 out of 5 eggsNoice.

Pros: The king is back in all of its small, dexterous, and light weight form. This should be the premier mouse of people who are more of flick aimers because of it's light weight and small design. Mouse clicks feel very satisfying and the side buttons are small but also give a nice click also. I would recommend turning off mouse buttons 8 and 9 if you play right handed (or 4 and 5 if you're left handed) because you constantly always be clicking them by accident. The mouse boots up into to a glowing wave of colors which is pretty neat as well.

Cons: My biggest pet peeve in the whole world of wired devices... I hate cloth braided cables. They do nothing but kink up and manage to flick on my mouse pad on fast flicks. Why razer... why....

So I don't know if my mouse is defective or not but the laser starts freezes occasionally after about 7 hours of use or so. Found a way around it by unplugging/replug, but I feel that shouldn't be necessary. Like I said.. it could be mine or maybe a USB port is dying.

Other Thoughts: I can't not recommend it. It's the Diamondback.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse I've used in a while

Pros: The sensor never misses a beat and its always super accurate. The ergonomics of the mouse are beautiful and feel amazing. I've used Steel Series mice and I just like the Diamondback better in every way.

Cons: Chroma could be better and Razer's Synapse could be better, but overall I love this mouse

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse revived

Pros: The mouse is almost an exact replica of the older style diamondbacks from 2000's era. It has an improved sensor for better tracking and a new rubberized grip for the sides. The chroma lighting is vibrant.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The side buttons are their own individual buttons now instead of the rocker it had.

3 out of 5 eggsSmall changes ruined this for me

Pros: The sensor worked perfectly. The Chroma lighting is really neat, but it replaced the reason I liked the original Diamondback.

Cons: I went through 3 original Diamondback mice, I LOVED the feel of them. Unfortunately, I was apparently "doing it wrong", because I used the rubber ring (now replaced by the Chroma light ring) to position the mouse. With it gone, I never felt like I was in control of the mouse. If I used the indentations near the bottom of the mouse, my fingers would always brush the mousepad. I kept it for several days, hoping I'd get used to it. I eventually returned it and bought the Razer Mamba Tournament Edition, which has the same internals but a comfier design.

Other Thoughts: There's nothing TECHNICALLY wrong with the mouse, if you like the feel of it. If you're buying this because you have an old Diamondback, pay attention to how you use it...if you don't rely on that rubber ring for grip, you'll be fine with this. If you DO use that ring, look at the Mamba instead. If possible, try one out in a local store display, because Newegg made me pay shipping and charged a restock fee. Needless to say, a local store got my money for the Mamba, and I learned never to buy anything online that may be taste-subjective.
