2 out of 5 eggsWHERE DID THEY GO?

Pros: great sound quality, good mic quality, comfortable and easy to wear for long hours, cool carrying pouch

Cons: fail wires led to right speaker going in and out constantly, CANNOT FIND ANY WAY OF CONTACTING CREATIVE. I called the number newegg has listed and some woman says "this is not a working number". Going to be looking into whether or not Creative has been bought out or something of the sort. Also the customer support site looks like it was set up by a drug dealer, no way of just finding a number or email address, and the one form I did find made you go into details such as your BIOS info.... look I bought these for 80 bucks I don't need to tell you what brand of cereal I prefer for some assistance.

Other Thoughts: If no form of contact is made through this or I still cannot find a way of contacting Creative, I will write a review similar to this on every tech site I go on and advise everyone I know not to purchase their products. I will however update this review or take it down if and when I can get some form of compensation or a replacement. Not Newegg's fault at all... still wish they'd update that number though

3 out of 5 eggsAmazing sound, but terrible build quality

Pros: Amazing sound even without bundled software application, though you'll want to use the software to fully hear how the simplest songs become studio (or stadium-like) in all frequency ranges. The bass is rich and full and never distorts even on the highest EQ settings. The mid and treble are crisp and clear but not to the point of eardrum-piercing. The headphones are also comfortable for long gaming sessions (at least for my ears) and does a great job in simulating a 3D effect for my FPS gaming. The mic has incredible clarity and would make anyone sound sexy just because of how it picks up your voice.

Cons: TERRIBLE cables! They seem to have used two types of cables- A THIN one foot cord that runs from the headphones itself to the hardware volume control/mic control, and THICK a 9 foot cord that proceeds out of the volume control and into the PC. The thinner one is very fragile and does not provide enough durability against bending (especially where it connects at the volume control switch).

Other Thoughts: Although I love the sound and mic quality, the thin wiring that i mentioned was what ruins the entire package. My headphones started malfunctioning after 10 months. Now to hear sound from both ears, I need to wiggle and hold the cable where it attaches to the volume control switch. Otherwise, the sound is only sent to one ear. I would NOT suggest buying these headphones if you're looking for a long-term headset.

It's a shame because this is by far the best headset I've purchased but it's awful cable quality ruins everything.

5 eggs for Sound Quality

3 out of 5 eggsFool me twice..

Pros: Great sound, no mic issues, comphy fit after I got used to them.

Cons: I have owned two of these headsets, the first lasted for about a year and the left speaker stopped working. The second lasted about four months and the same happened. I can wiggle the wire and get sound on occasion. Fool me twice shame on me.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Good sound quality, the mic is clear. Perfect for FPS games. Long lasting headset!

Cons: It gets really uncomfortable wearing these for more then one hour. But I found a SOLUTION for this.

If you have an old headset laying around, take the pads off of it. Cut the pads into four pieces. Then take super glue or something similar, and glue the four pieces onto each ear pad. This should help, it helped me and my ears never hurt anymore.

Other Thoughts: I like this headset, and I had it for probably more then 2 years already and it's still going strong.

4 out of 5 eggsPerforms as expected

Pros: Sound quality is as expected for the price of the set. Clarity of the mic AFAIK is good on the other end. I asked people I talk to online and they say I sound clear.

Cons: Gets pretty uncomfortable after wearing for a long time. Maybe I have a sensitive head? I would recommended going with the regular version, not USB as programs tend to freak out when going from USB sound to regular (headphones to speakers). Other than that not much to complain about.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. I've used them gaming, surfing the web, watching movies, and just about any other type of listening you would want from a computer. They work fine except for the driver/ switching issue.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Headset I've Ever Owned

Pros: The audio quality on these is outstanding. I have a pair at work and at home for listening to music when I'm working/gaming and they're vastly better than my standalone 5.1 creative speakers.

What really stands out is the microphone though. The audio quality for recordings and for voice chat is almost "in the room" quality. Whenever I use Ventrilo or Skype, whoever is on the other end always comments on the audio quality.

Cons: Detachable microphone can not be ordered separately. If anything happens to it, you have to replace the entire headset.

Other Thoughts: An added benefit of the USB headset is I can control audio output selectively between my headset and my speakers. I usually put game audio over the speakers and all voice chat over the headset so the two don't overlap and I can both clearly hear my games and voice chat.

The only reason this isn't a 5-egg score is the issue of not being able to replace the microphone. I had to buy an entirely new $80 headset because I lost what I'm sure is a $10 part. There's no reason Creative couldn't sell those separately.

1 out of 5 eggsQuality sound, cheap product

Pros: Great sound, great bass and a low price. Sale price was 40$.

Cons: VERY cheap. Made out of all plastic, you can feel it when you open the box. Product broke after falling less than 2 ft off my tower onto my carpeting.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for something to last a few months this is your product.

If you're looking for a well-built product and something that will last, go elsewhere.

USB and can only be used for computer gaming and music.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Perfect in every aspect

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is my first USB headset. I was always hesitant making the switch and taking up another USB port, but I finally took the plunge. Everyone I talk to on vent told me the difference between my old headset and my new one is night and day. Installing the Creative software is tedious, not difficult just sleep inducingly boring. Have your kids install it for you so you can take a nap.
