4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Sound good
Reasonably sturdy/ decent build quality
Well priced
No issues so far

Cons: Can get a little uncomfortable after wearing them for a while
Uses 3.5mm jacks, no USB. Its only a slight inconvenience that it has one jack for mic, and one for speakers, luckily my case has these inputs on the front, but it could be a pain to have to reach behind the tower to plug in.

Other Thoughts: If you just want a basic headset for cheap, this is a good choice. if you NEED something very comfortable, maybe get something a little higher up than this.

I have a mid sized head and these hurt after a while. Never had this problem with any full cover muffs before.

Other Thoughts: Other brands won't have this comfort problem. But other brands won't offer you this frequency range @ this price tag. I'd rather pry open these babies once in a while and keep the money. But honestly, these look like they we're built for kids.

5 out of 5 eggsDurable Good Sound

Pros: Clear sound
Good bass
Very loud, clear microphone
Have been very durable, I've run over the cord with my chair countless times and it keeps going
Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time
Low key enough to wear in public without looking insane
Detachable microphone

Cons: I own the USB model that is no longer sold and can not say. My only con is under "Other thoughts"

Other Thoughts: I purchased the USB version that is no longer available for purchase in ~2009 when Windows 7 was the most modern iteration. Unfortunately what that results in is that the USB version does not have maintained drivers and isn't fully supported by Windows10, ie. I sometimes get weird audio artifacting that I wouldn't get had I just purchased a set with 3.5mm connectors.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: Mic works

Cons: Headphones just didn't produce any sound at all. But the Mic works.

Other Thoughts: Had them for 24 hours, worked with TS to try to get them to work no avail... absolute garbage. I would not recommend this product to another human being.

My $7.90 Earphones work perfectly, but they are literally falling apart hence the reason why I was hunting for a new headset.

3 out of 5 eggsA Little Good, A Little Bad

Pros: Fantastic audio quality. Cloth ear pads. Very comfortable shot term use, doable long term as well. TrackIR fits! Everything about this head set (less the 3.5 mm jacks) has been better than I hoped for and has surpassed even the Fender headphones (which I previously thought could not be surpassed) I am replacing. I would recommend these to anyone caveat emptor of non-USB.

Cons: Both the headphone and microphone jacks are 3.5 mm not USB. Yes, relatively minor but a big deal on an aging system with possible driver compatibility issues. Truthfully the only con.

Other Thoughts: The 3.5 mm jacks mean if you are using a motherboard's on-board audio that is a little older (Windows 7 era) and are using Windows 10, be ready for the mic to be useless. This is a new pitfall with any 3.5 mm mic and many Windows 10 upgraded systems. I will never for the life of my understand why Creative would put out such a high quality head set and call 3.5 mm and acceptable end, USB would expand it's usefulness SO MUCH. Some audio driver issues have a work-around, so I would look into what issues may lie below the surface with you drivers if you are a Win10 upgrade from Win7 era hardware (Realtek or VIA version and compatibility) before buying.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was delivered on time. Sound is good but alittle lower than I'm used to. I play BFBC2 so the bass is important and there seems to be adequate. Some said the headphones were tight on the head, I don't find this a problem even after hours of wearing them (just adjust them properly).

Cons: Could use USB to power the sound (but you get what you pay for).
Cord is cheap and flimsy, length is OK, it wouldn't of cost more than a dollar to put a better cord and connectors on ( but like I said you get what you pay for).

Other Thoughts: Over all these headphones are alright for the price, I'd buy them again.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate after 9 months

Pros: Sound Quality, Bass, Comfort, Mic

Cons: Build Quality

Other Thoughts: After using these for nine months I am still very happy with the sound quality and comfort of this headset. The bass is powerful while still being sharp and not sacrificing the mids and highs. I haven't used the mic since I got the headset, but it sounded good when I did try it and it is detachable.

However I am less happy with how this headset has withstood the test of time. After about four months of using the front panel connector on my PC the audio in side of the cable started shorting out. I currently have some electrical tape wrapped around the first few inches of the cable to combat this issue. Then a couple months later there were pieces rattling around in the left ear cup. Also, recently I have noticed the in line volume control has started acting a little sketchy.

I will still recommend this headset overall, but just keep in mind that they may start to show some wear after several months.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for casual sessions/gamers

Pros: Price, comfort and quality are major pluses. Zero negative things to say about the sound quality in or out. They are gaming headphones... they are top notch for what they are

Cons: They tend to squeeze a bit more than I prefer, but not at all enough to take an egg off. They fit very well over your ear so they don't smash anything (and I even have gauges). Probably not an issue for most people unless you just have a giant head

Other Thoughts: Honestly, bang for the buck and overall quality you can't go wrong with these

5 out of 5 eggsMust Buy

Pros: Have owned this headset for over 5 years and is still very comfortable and works like i just bought it. The mic is excellent, and like the ability to remove if needed.

Cons: Have had no negative things yet.
