5 out of 5 eggsI have had no problems for a year

Pros: Great price, sound quality, fit, voice, and it is super durable. I have a big head and while it squeezed my head for the first two weeks it fits perfectly now.

I'm not sure how people are snapping their headsets. I've bent them, dropped them, stepped on them, kicked them, crushed them in a box while moving and I haven't had any issues.

The sound quality is fantastic in the speakers, its got good bass and the mic has never had a problem picking up my voice.

Cons: Honest'y I'm not sure I have any cons. Maybe they don't look cool? I'm really at a loss for cons.

The only one I can think of was that it squeezed my ears pretty hard for the first two week I was using it.

Other Thoughts: From what I've used mine for (recording gameplay and podcasts, skyping and teamspeak) I think this is a fantastic buy.

2 out of 5 eggsEhhh

Pros: Great Sound
Long Chord
Invincible Chord

Cons: Microphone hears everything in the room and then some
Microphone went out within a month and came back
Then went out permanently a week or so later

Other Thoughts: Make the micprohone a un-removable piece of the headset, it might last longer.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Headset, Could be Better.

Pros: Comfort. I never had an issue with this headset hurting my ears or being uncomfortable during long gaming sessions.

They are relativity lightweight and well padded.

Sound quality. I am no audiophile when it comes to my gaming headset, I really only expect it to produce somewhat deep bass (explosions) and have enough range to make my games sound good. To immerse me in the environment. These can do that.

The THX USB device does deliver a nice rich sound environment that complements most games quite well, and is easily at or above the quality of many motherboard on-board audio solutions out there. It can be used with other headsets with similar ratings as well, so even if this headset dies, you can still use the THX USB device.

Using standard 3.5mm connections allows you to use the headset on just about anything. Very handy.

The detachable mic has yet to break, and it gets connected and disconnected a lot.

Cons: The cons for this headset can start to overshadow the pros at the price point.

The mic quality is fine, but it's VERY quiet, and short. So it does not reach in front of your mouth unless you have a small head, this would be just fine if it actually picked up your voice better.

I often found myself just using the headset on one ear, with the game sound being pumped out of my speakers, and VOIP in the headset, just to get the mic positioned in front of my mouth so others could hear me.

I don't have a quiet voice, I speak rather loudly and my voice carries quite well. When the mic does pick up my voice, it sounds fine.

The headband started to crack on one side after about 2 months of use, all be it heavy use. The other side then started to crack a short while after. While neither side has actually broken, the cracks are visible. They formed at the point where the headband housing and adjustable inner band met, where I had it adjusted to fit. Negating the ability to adjust the headset for fear of it breaking.

This is what prompted me to stop using the headset, I take very good care of all of my hardware, and I don't "pull" my headset open to take it off my head, I slide it forward with both hands, and they still cracked. The plastic is really just not robust enough to handle heavy use, except perhaps on those with smaller heads, or kids.

I have given them to my daughter since she can easily use them at their smallest setting, thus rendering the cracks a moot point since the headband housing itself has held up just fine.

The cord can be a pain at times, it does tangle easily, and does not seem to be very well constructed. While it has never broken, frayed, and still looks as though it's brand new. I does not look like it would take much to damage it, it's very thin.

So with these cons, why do I only dock two eggs? Because it really does have good sound quality for gaming, the THX USB adapter works wonderfully and can be used with other headsets of similar rating, and comfort was never an issue.

It just pays to keep these in mind when buying.

Other Thoughts: Would I buy this headset again? Probably not. While the sound quality is indeed good for gaming and general use, the overall quality of the headset itself, and the issues with the mics ability to pick up my voice, would stop me from buying them again.

I feel as though I have got my $50 out of them, especially since they are working just fine for my daughter, and the fact the THX adapter can be use elsewhere if I so desired.

If you're looking for higher quality sound, or are an audiophile, I would suggest spending more money on a nice set of headphones and using a clip-on mic.

For gaming, these are just fine, but if you can spend more and get a higher quality headset, I would do so. Perhaps one of the higher tier Creative line.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Plastic

Pros: *Solid sound
*Mic works very well
*Fairly comfortable even during hours of extended use

Cons: VERY CHEAP, plastic. I can not express to you how easy it is to snap the side bindings just above the ear muffs.

Unless you plan to delicately handle them with extra effort every single time you pick them up or take them off, I do not recommend these.

The moment one of these cheap plastic connectors snaps, you'll lose all comfort, and there is a good shot that it will damage the wiring in the process.

Let me state that, I'm not exceedingly rough on my gear, but one day I simply went to put them on my head and as they were stretched slightly the plastic just gave way and now they are worthless to me.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind being extremely careful, or rigging them up with layers of tape/glue and other products (Maybe popsickle sticks?) These are quite excellent.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Sound is great and the fit comfortably

Cons: Built CHEAP! One side broke within a month, duct taped it in place other side snapped about a month after that, now both sides are duct taped together.

Other Thoughts: Was great until it started to fall apart from the very cheap/thin plastic

4 out of 5 eggsGood headphones!

Pros: Very good at blocking sound and creating nice 3D sound.

Cons: If you're very nitpicky on sound quality and effects, you might discern some flaws.
But if you're like me, just looking for some good headphones at a good price, this is a bargain!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Look Nice
Decent Sound Quality

Cons: Cheaply Built
Break Easily
USB Connector Doesn't work with Mic

Other Thoughts: Just a poorly built set of headphones. Audio came through fine when using the USB adapter, but the MIC never worked properly unless plugged into the 3.5 jack directly on the motherboard or front panel. Now I am in the market for a new set since the cheap plastic above the ear piece snapped and it can't be worn.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Impressions

Pros: Everything I wanted in a headset, and for the holiday price I just got it, can't be happier! I had a Creative Fatal1ty before, but I dropped it in water (don't ask) so I decided it'd be an excuse for an "upgrade"! These definitely feel like one, but mostly because they're fully over my big ears.

Cons: A tiny bit of pain from wearing them for about 4 hours straight, nothing a little adjust doesn't fix instantly.
