Pros: Cheap camera

Cons: Didn't look as clear as I thought it would. 720p is HD, but the video I get with it looks a lot like SD to me. All the settings are adjusted to highest quality and it's stilly blurry and fuzzy. I just needed something to Skype on a home entertainment PC so it will suffice.

Pros: Inexpensive, Combination Mic/Camera, Plug & Play (not pray) design, simplistic setup

Cons: Video quality is slightly more degraded than anticipated.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a 15yr old student doing online classes, that required a video cam/mic for interactive labs. It does everything she asked it to do & works for the class. Would I use it to Skype, game, or telecommute, probably not. But for 2 days a week 1hr sessions it works great & was easy enough for her to setup 4/5 stars.

Pros: Plug and play with Ubuntu 10.10. Cheese picked up the camera right away.

I purchased to use as a home device so I could look in while away. This camera was easy to setup with the webcam package.

When it takes less than an hour to:
- Unpack
- Detect in Linux
- Test pictures
- Setup with the webcam Ubuntu package
- Have it automatically taking pictures every 5 mins and posting them to a shared directory.

You know you have a winner!

Picture quality is very nice for ($25). Sorry newegg I got a better deal somewhere else :(

Other Thoughts: I noticed the video was choppy when recording in cheese. However I believe this is due to the machine I was running it on. (AMD zacate 1.X GHz processor that is running apache, multiple scheduled jobs, etc, etc). I did not purchase with video recording in mind but I can not see this being a problem on a stronger and less burdened machine.

Pros: Very high video quality, seemly frame rates, works beautifully with Skype

Cons: Limited video options, no fun software ( no funny hats :( )

Pros: its a webcam

Cons: this webcam causes bluescreens. i have the latest driver from creative website. everytime i use it to video chat with my wife this webcam causes my comp to bluescreen. this isnt newegg's fault. i have a feeling that this will break my comp.. there's a fix i have to unplug it before using it so i wouldnt bluescreen but its extremely annoying.

Pros: works perfectly, it is very inexpensive

Cons: creative software (not included in box) is not what it used to be.
motion monitoring, for example is now a pay service provided by a 3rd party.

Pros: I order a retail package for this item, but I just receive a open item. It is my first experence to got a open item instead a retail item from newegg.

Cons: None

Pros: Simple, small and good, solid base. Decent sound quality and video quality is excellent for a $30 webcam. Literal plug and play.

Cons: No privacy screen/slide/cover.

Other Thoughts: For the money, it will be hard to beat it. I picked this webcam up for $30 at a brick and mortar store as an impulse buy.

Pros: Built-in microphone. Just works. Out-of-the-box Linux support.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have two of these - one attached to my parents' Windows box, one attached to my Linux workstation. Both work fine, true plug-and-play, with no drivers needed.

It's a bit tedious to switch Skype to use the camera's microphone instead of soundcard's, especially on Linux with PulseAudio, but that's probably the case with any USB camera with built-in mike.

Pros: built in mic, clips on laptop display or stands on desk, no drivers needed

Cons: video quality poor, worked 1 day, then colors got washed out, the button for MSN clicked, but does not pop back out

Other Thoughts: I rarely write reviews, but this unit was so disappointing, it's worth sending back for a refund.
