Pros: Nice little camera under perfect conditions.

Cons: Perpetually blurry, especially in low light. No motion detection software that I could find.

Pros: The resolution is good, works as intended. The included software and drivers do what they need to, but VLC does all the same things.

Cons: Build quality is very cheap. I placed the camera on my shelf, gently, to test it, and when I picked it up to put it away, a screw was so loose it just fell apart in my hands. I have owned it no longer than 30 minutes when this happened. Now one of the gaskets that makes the cam stay in position is missing and it just flops around. I could understand if this happened after years of use, but there is no excuse for this.

Other Thoughts: Buy a Logitech I guess would be my recommendation. It's a shame because I have always thought highly of Creative.

Pros: Was only 45$ when i bought it, so i thought i was getting a good deal.

Cons: As everyone has said the auto focus on it is really annoying. Even with the software u can put it on manual focus, but when used with skype it still auto focus' too much.

When using it with skype it doesnt switch into 720HD video mode like it is suppose to. (yes i know that skype waits for connection information to switch, i know how it works).

As for the camera, the quality is better than others but is still pretty grainy. On top of that it does not preform well in mediocre light settings (or at least compared to my logitech c720). Im guessing it has to do with the exposure of the camera and the software does not include an adjustment feature. Last but not least, the camera has several dead pixels.

Other Thoughts: The mere fact that you have to install the software to adjust the settings so you are pleased with the video chat on skype is pathetic.

I have a logitech C720 (720p webcam) that i bought for 35$ at target that i was impressed with the moment i plugged in. So i was super excited when i was buying a "90$" webcam, what a joke.

Pros: Great all around web-cam. Clear, red light on when active, video's are also clear, with sound. I paid $109.00 when I bought this item here. So I know it is a great web-cam and a fantastic buy.

Pros: Fantastic frame rate and video quality. Quick setup. Funny software features. This product is great in concept.

Cons: The first one I bought had a, for lack of a better term, "dead pixel" which had shown in the bottom left. After returning it, the second one made a clicking noise every time it tried to focus. This cam could not focus, unlike the first one, which now I can only assume this is a bad line of webcam.

Other Thoughts: I am taking back this webcam and I have officially decided to never buy a Creative product again. For 10 years I have always admired Creative products but after losing over $200 to poor manufacturing, I am done. I was fine when my $80 ear buds failed on me, I was content when the $50 ear buds ceased to function in one ear, I was disappointed when my $80 Fatality headset cable "lost connection" to the headset, and I have reached the end of my rope.

Pros: Easy install on Win 7 X64. Great picture, mic works well from about 9 feet away, versatile mounting options, reasonable autofocus at long distances

Cons: Software is a little annoying, preset to pop up every time you log into skype but easy to turn that off.

Other Thoughts: As with most hardware I downloaded all the latest software from manufacturers website. install was a breeze, up and running in 45 seconds. most presets work perfectly for me no adjustments needed.

Set up to HTPC about 9 feet away from couch, autofocus is reasonable but when our baby gets up and moves somewhere it has to refocus and sometimes cant figure out what to focus on but this is to be expected. Sound and video quality for skype is reported as excellent from family. Shell Shocker price was too good to pass up and worth every penny I spent. I'd say it's well worth the regular price as well.

Other Thoughts: have it mounted on top of 46' tv with a laptop on the side. software is useless. opposing party was able to see and hear us clearly. make sure your room is well lit. if you want to fill the screen just with your self be ready to sit very close to the camera

Pros: Has a good picture and amazing audio. The wide angle lens is very nice when using Skype with my family. The Usb cable is longer than some other cameras I've seen. Its got around a 5 foot cord so its easy to move around. Has some silly camera software features that my wife and son enjoy playing around with.

Cons: The Auto Focus has a very Hard time in non perfect lighting. Most of the time it works wonderfully. But i have a window behind me that can really just throw the camera for a loop and makes it where it can't figure out what it's doing.

Other Thoughts: MUCH better camera from some others that family have bought. With decent recording software shipped with the camera, its well worth the price.
