2 out of 5 eggsGreat...until the left earphone cut out

Pros: Comfortable, good sound, not bad looking.

Cons: Left earphone stopped working after about a week. I'm gentle with my headsets - my last pair (Plantronics) lasted me 3-4 years before the mic started going out. These were pretty disappointing.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of wireless accessories, but considering how fragile the wires are on most headsets, I think it probably makes more sense.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing Mic

Pros: The headphones are comfortable.

Cons: The mic makes me sound like I'm in a tin can.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this headset for two months and just used it for the first time for online chatting. I was so disappointed with the poor quality of the mic that I'm going to buy a different headset.

4 out of 5 eggsCreative Makes a Pretty Good Headset

Pros: *Soft pad fabric. I could see from the pictures that the pads are really soft like microsuede or something, and this is still the main reason I like these over other headsets.
*Great sound quality. I expected as much from a quality pair of phones and these did not disappoint.
*Stylish: I like the whole look of it, though the gray part around the ear cones is NOT metal, as I thought it was; it’s plastic painted to look like metal.

Cons: *Ear cones don’t fit. I would say I have average-sized ears but my lobes don’t COMPLETELY fit inside the pad rings. Not a big deal, they’re still comfy enough, and I can squish the pads into shape.
*Not much mic adjustment. It’s nice that the mic is removable, and the flexible gooseneck is just enough adjustment, but it doesn’t extend long enough to go directly in front of my mouth. That’s not a big deal, but I would like to be able to move it to the other side, or flip the headset around.

Other Thoughts: My 5.1 surrounds speakers are by Creative (not by my choice) and they’re really nice quality. I know Creative also makes like sound cards and stuff so they know their audio. I like the design of these, but the mic has a cross-section that looks like a teardrop, which is both cool and odd. My sound card decided it doesn’t like an external mic anymore so I can’t vouch for the quality of the sound. The cord is plenty long, a bit too long for a laptop with jacks in the front. The on-wire volume is both a pro and a con; it’s convenient to be able to thumb the volume up and down, but it’s at just the right length to get stuck under the arm of my chair. Unless I clip it to my shirt, it often hangs up, which is annoying, not to mention it’s completely unnecessary since I have a volume knob on my keyboard. That said, I would buy stuff from Creative again. 4 eggs: good, but not great.
