3 out of 5 eggsNice but already in for repairs

Pros: Good quality sound. Separate cord that plugs into headphones, this is nice because if the cable is bad you can actually replace it.

Cons: Not so comfortable on bigger ears. Broke already.

Other Thoughts: The 3.5mm cord is working fine but lost USB functionality which is a must for gaming. Have to send in for warranty service. Bummer. Like the sound quality but apparently the build quality not so much. We shall see how fast Creative replaces or fixes them and will follow up.

5 out of 5 eggsMike Ross, yes indeed, is an honest man.

Pros: The construction is sturdy, I love the steel headband. The cushions on the ears are big enough to compass your entire ear but I having a bit bigger ears, they feels perfectly fine. No pinches to where my ears needed a break. The look of them are way nicer than the promotional pictures. I love how they fold away. The sound is nice. The bass is rich without being distorting, mid come in nice and clear and highs with virtually no tin. The mic sounds clear and LOVE that it's hidden..

The ability to use USB or 3.5 mm jack is a bonus though just the 3.5 mm would have been enough. The USB is excellent because you don't necessarily need a sound card but it's a nice EXTRA and wouldn't substitute it for a real sound card. The usability of the software is nice and easy to use. Also the touch stop/start with your PC or Phone is another nice touch too.

Cons: I always wonder why they don't just incorporate software support options with the built in windows preference pane but that's a matter of personal preference and did find the top end of volume of the headset be significantly higher after installing drivers so make sure you do the same. Also the price point is a BIT too high for my taste. I bought these on sale and at 89.99 it was a sweet spot.

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind these are NOT the Z series but don't allow it to discourage the purchase of these beauties. They sound almost as good and are GREAT gaming headsets. I would be hard pressed to get them at $120 but ultimately at $120 it's a even exchange IMO. So holding out for a sale for that sense of value is ideal but if you have the extra scratch and your not a sale hunter like I am, it's not a waste of money in any sense.

2 out of 5 eggsCertainly no Circumaural Headset

Pros: For casual use this isn't that bad of a headset, the sound is decent though it won't blow you away. The volume control interacts directly with your PC or device to lower/raise the volume which is both a pro and con. For use with a phone, these were incredibly satisfying. I have a series of Windows Phone's (Lumia 900, Lumia 521, Lumia 620) and the button on the side right was handled as if the headset was a bluetooth heaset. In that perspective, making calls with this would likely be quite useful, however I never had the opportunity to test that.

Cons: These are labeled as Circumaural, they aren't. I had read other reviews saying that these were not ideal if you wore glasses (I do), but decided to take the risk as Creative has done some good craftsman/engineers. That was a mistake. While at first marginally comfortable the design can downright maim you in long gaming sessions. The outer lobe of my ear grew irritated whenever I wore these for more than an hour. Furthermore, the microphone isn't what you expect from a $100 headset and sounds as if you are talking into a laptop.

Other Thoughts: These, while labeled as gaming headphones, are not. They are actually designed for casual/mobile use and for that they are actually alright. However, they are labeled as circumaural gaming headphones and they are neither. While they look killer, you can find loads of better headphones from other manufacturers that actually do what you want.

Creative also has some lackluster support. This means if you do encounter any issues with the headset you will have to go through newegg or wait around a week for a reply.

Other's have said it already but I'll say it anyway, if you have glasses or have a head more than slightly larger than a Shruken Head these probably aren't for you.

5 out of 5 eggsMike Ross is an honest man.

Pros: I was lucky enough to catch it on Christmas Day when it was $50 off.
The sound is incredible. The surround sound is adjustable, but I always go full immersion and max it out. I play a lot of horror games, so it's a big bonus for me.
The microphone is so selective in what sounds it picks up. I've recorded YouTube videos with the laundry machine going in the background and it cannot be heard.
Crystal Voice is fun to play with. I tested all the different voice schemes on Skype and my friends got a lot of laughs out of Scrappy Kid.

Cons: This is really only a minor con, but occasionally in my recording with the microphone (this only happens rarely), it goes into the Deep Voice Crystal Voice setting on its own for a moment, then returns to normal. I don't really mind at all though, and it's a small price to pay for such a great headset.

Other Thoughts: I first saw this product on Newegg's channel with Mike Ross endorsing it in an interview with him and a guy from Sound Blaster. Sorry I didn't remember his name, but I've been a hardcore player of fighting games since Street Fighter II Champion Edition was in the arcades, so I've seen a few tournaments and had to click when I saw Mike Ross. He did not lie about this headset's awesomeness.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this!

Pros: 1. Plug and play
3. Fold-able for traveling

Cons: 1. Mediocre and loud sound
2. Doesn't go over your ears and so it sit on your ears which causes soreness. It's heavy and very very uncomfortable.
3. Forced to use the USB to able to use the EQ program. If you uses the 3.5mm analog, the program doesn't detect it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this headset while it was on sale for $80 and boy was that a huge mistake. After wearing it for a couple of hours, my ears hurt so bad that I decides to return it the next day. That's how bad it was. If you want a good gaming headset, skip this one and get a different one. Trust me on this one.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as Expected...

Pros: -Looks (use in office without looking like a dweeb)
-Solid Construction
-Unobtrusive Integrated Mic
-USB and 3.5mm option with seperate cables

Cons: -Uncomfortable after an hour (Not completely Circumaural. Both cup depth and circumference insufficient for my medium sized ears)
-40mm Soundriver is weak. (I had the wireless wrath tatic 3d before this... I feel like I have down graded ALOT with the EVO series)
-Weak Midrange (Bass overwhelms almost all the midrange) Highs are also tinny at times.

Other Thoughts: I came from the Creative Wireless Tactic3d Wrath headset which sounded awesome.... but the wireless started failing after a year. I jumped on this because I could live with a wire and figured the 40mm driver was updated and would give me the same audio quality... I was definitely let down. If you are spoiled by the rich sound depth of a 50mm, do not buy this thinking its on the same level. This should be priced below $100 in my opinion.

3 out of 5 eggsNot so Impressed

Pros: Nice looking headphones, light weight, and nice robust USB cable. The "invisible" mic is nice too, non obtrusive, less parts to break, and seems to record my voice just fine.

Cons: Not that comfortable, they're labeled circumaural, but I really feel like the cups are just a bit too small to make that claim. More importantly, and the reason I'm really down voting these is that the sound quality really isn't that impressive. The audio is muffled sounding even with the various EQ settings. My Gamecom 770s did a much nicer job in both my complaints than these, but unfortunately, the mic stopped working.

Other Thoughts: Overall these are average at best. I was hoping that since Creative is all about PC audio and gaming audio that they'd make a much nicer gaming headset than these. I'm probably going to return them for something else.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty much the overall best headset on the market

Pros: Very sleek, comfortable, unintrustive. Invisible beam microphone makes it even less cumbersome to carry around. Foldable and compact make this very easy for me to wear in everyday traveling life while still being able to have Soundblaster quality sound. Best part is they look really awesome and don't require manually installing drivers (on Windows 7 at least). Also pairs very easily to phones and other Bluetooth capable devices.

Cons: May take some getting used to if you aren't an avid headset user.

5 out of 5 eggsReally great microphone

Pros: No microphone that gets in the way when using it! This headset also provides some of the best sound quality I have ever gotten. It also has a sleek new look from my older model.

Cons: Nothing so far
