2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Comfortable and nice looking

Cons: The plastic part connecting the ear piece and headband broke after a week, poor construction. The USB stopped working a couple days after using it for the first time. Only the standard audio jack worked after so I can never take advantage of the advanced audio options available in USB mode. Sound quality Meh.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate 2

Pros: I want to than creative support for support for sending them out so fast.

I got a new one and we will see how it goes.

No RMA was necessary. I wouldn't have anyway cause wasnt worth it to thats good customer service. Im sure they dont do that all the time.

Cons: The old ones had a "manufacturing problem due to plastics casting." Once one of these problems is found shouldnt they all have to go back. I feel the same way with motherboard revisions SHIP them back dont wait for RMA.

Other Thoughts: Id already been pricing other headphones just cause i heard a friends "audio-technica" ones so. i may still go ahead and buy it but that's completely unrelated in a way seeing as how i would have even if these were 5 stars. Your sound taste are your own.

I still wish they made a non mobility version of these with all the HING DESIGN money invested in better flexible plastics up top etc. imagine all the money that went into the metal parts going into QUIET RELIABLE AND FLEXIBLE HIGH QUALITY PLASTICS. all for the same price and maybe a one sound driver level up. I know that's possible.

2 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: They still work.

Cons: Update screws are fine
After Normal every day use without pulling or stretching the item unnaturally the inner plastic lip holding the left side hull together broke off and POPPED out upon head removal.

As mentioned before: with a larger head using the (medium - maximum) setting size setting will weaken the rigidity of the side hulls. These headphones will not flex like the add and will become dangerously weak at any setting but small.

Everything was fine for 4 weeks or so then they tops (where the screws aren't and were my original area of concern give way because they are held together with a TINY LIP.

Other Thoughts: Using electrical tape to hold them together on both sides... Not worth RMA. i got these on sale for 79 dollars as they do every 4 or 5 weeks. They sound the part of 79 dollar headphones but have the build quality (in some places) of a 19 dollar headset.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello there.
This sounds like you have a defective headset as the EVO USB has been designed for travel as well as home use and definitely should not have the issue with the build that you have experienced.
Please contact us at so we can get you replacement unit.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat You Need

Pros: Pros:
-Noticeably high quality audio
-Ear enclosure blocks out outside noise effectively
-Fold up Design allows for easy storage and transportation
-Modular cables means more flexible storage
-Durable construction means it's going to last a long time

Cons: -Ear enclosure may be too small for some people's heads/ears and result in mild discomfort.

Other Thoughts: Overall a very nice solid headset for the price. This headset will be suitable for all but the most enthusiastic audiophile. The only warning is that it may be a little small/uncomfortable on your ears if the enclosures aren't big enough to completely encapsulate your ear.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: Nice headset! It's sound quality is pretty sweet, and I especially like how I can take these out on a walk but also use them at my computer. These are foldable so it is pretty compact and saves space. Not to mention, these look pretty nice too!

Cons: Mic could be better, but I don't use it too much anyway. Gets a bit warm on my ears since it's so firm, but that could be a plus if you can tolerate it and need it to not fall off.

Other Thoughts: Nice headset overall, feels adequately priced from a reputable company.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge bang for my buck

Pros: - Price was outstanding when you compare it to something like Beats by Dre. With the quality I've received I have no problem sticking to these.

- Comfortable. I've had no issues with wearing these for a long periods of time. It tends to get a little warm on the ears but Im ok with that.

- Sound quality. Seriously top notch. I wasn't expecting the depth of range when I first put them on. Using the software that comes with it has allowed me to tune it even further.

- USB connection. Love that I have the option for USB or audio jack.

- Folds flat. I've been able to put these down and pack them away with no worries of bending/breaking.

Cons: - USB cord is located on the right ear. Kind of annoying for a PC located on my left.

- Software runs a tad slow on my PC, not sure why.

Other Thoughts: Overall top of the line headset for the price. Very impressed!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Headset

Pros: Audio wise its great since I've tried this headset on PC where I use it on USB, and when using the audio jack for music on my phone. Its design has a nice and sleek stylish look, as well as having a practicability that allows it to be folded for easier transportation for on the go.

Cons: The only downside I felt to this headset was the microphone. Maybe since the microphone is built into the inside of the headset, but when I first started using it my mic came off as being muffled by something which took a bit of tweaking of settings to bring back to a good level.

Other Thoughts: A few reviews I've seen have commented on how tight the headset might be around the ears. Personally I actually enjoy how firm it feels especially when I use it at the gym, since I don't have to worry about keeping it from falling off my head all the time. Also I've been using Soundblaster headsets for years now and this one seems no tighter then any of the other models they've released before.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: Great sound Quality.
Aesthetically pleasing.

Cons: Mic quality is not up to par with the rest of the quality of the headset. I believe this is due to the lack of an actual microphone.
After a long time of wearing may hurt ears.

Pros: Really nice sound quality, having the option between multiple choices for installation with 3.5 or USB.

Cons: Mic quality isn't very good, uncomfortable after awhile, cables are really thick and short.

4 out of 5 eggsA perspective on EVOs

Pros: Nice looking headphones that are foldable and light. Loves that it comes with two types of cords to easily switch from a phone to a laptop/desktop. The microphone is embedded in the headset. It's as simple as you can get with plug and play mechanics for a headset.

Cons: It's not that great when wearing for long periods of time like long gaming sessions. Slightly confused that it's being marketed as a gaming headset because I've used it more as a traveling headset and just for when listening to music when coding. It doesn't really wrap around the ear. The USB cable is rather short.

Other Thoughts: It works perfectly well with a Macbook Pro and an Android phone. Seamless switch between the two. The sound quality is amazing even though the top of your ears can hurt after awhile. Other than that, it's a good headset.
