2 out of 5 eggsGarbage Quality

Pros: -Very good sound quality.

-Bass is above average.

-convenient extendable cord.

Cons: -Cheap plastic design. These headphones fell a few feet and broke apart.

-Typical "Made in China" quality product. Low Durability.

- Hold in too much heat.

Other Thoughts: I read reviews on this site with people saying they have owned these for almost 10 years. I just don't see how that is possible with how cheap the plastic is on these. Even if I can superglue these back together I don't see them lasting more than 2 years.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Quality

Pros: Good Sound and a decent price

Cons: I purchase 3 set of Supra-aural head phones and I liked the Luxa2 the best for a fraction of the price

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional Headphones

Pros: Crisp sound, well weighted, and very comfortable. I've owned a pair for over five years and they're still incredible. I use these for my electric piano and PC gaming, and they're perfect.

Cons: Minor fraying of the material covering the ear foam, but after this long I'm not surprised.

1 out of 5 eggsFell apart almost instantly

Pros: Comfortable

Sound is OK. Not great, but OK

Cons: Flimsy construction

Fell apart after 2 days of use!

Other Thoughts: Folding them puts strain on the plastic piece holding the overear assembly to the rest of the set. This piece fell out on my set -- inadequate glue job? -- and the ear assembly is dangling.

5 out of 5 eggsalmost flat response

Pros: almost flat response with a little bit more emphasis on bass, but that doesn't bother me. there's not a part of the frequency range that is over-emphasized, which makes it comfortable for a prolonged time of listening.

Cons: a little bit too big for me. I would prefer leather covered cushions.

Other Thoughts: note that these have long coiled phone cords

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones

Pros: I've been looking for a set of headphones for late night TV viewing and these are perfect. My wife who is a violinist at the NY Philharmonic was so impressed with these that she picked up 2 sets for her open rehearsals. This is the 3rd set of Headphones I bought online and they are even better than a set of Sennheiser's I bought for $125

Cons: no problems yet

Other Thoughts: If they fail I'll be sure to let you know.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Great sound, never quite had a audiophile headset (or any, for this matter) ever. Delivered everything I needed and more. No complaints whatsoever.

Cons: Took ~5 days to get.

Other Thoughts: Sony makes some pretty good headsets.

5 out of 5 eggsAlways awesome

Pros: Comfortable with clear and solid sound. Keeps outside sound out really well. They've always been a deal at @100 bucks, so if you see them on sale here and Newegg, snag them up instantly like I did!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have owned 3 pairs of these over the years. They were the standard for DJ headphones for years back in the day. My old pair was dying with tearing on the ear pieces and degrading sound so I replaced them. It literally took YEARS for them to die with constant abuse from me and my toddlers! A previous review stated they were cheap plastic, but they're about as solid as any and I've never had a problem with the actual plastic parts of the headphones.

5 out of 5 eggsLike nothing else out there

Pros: Probably some of the most advanced headphones out there, and what a legacy the MDR-V600 carries. Because of their intended use as studio monitor headphones, they sound absolutely incredible with just about any device I tested, ranging from various media players, to Hi-Fi surround sound equipment via the headphones input, to even a Yamaha Clavinova piano.

The ultra-sharp frequency response allows you to hear every note, beat, and sound in your audio. With low impedance, these headphones can become VERY loud when you want them to. You can even hear the bass blast out of the headphones without them on your ears!

When it comes to comfort, these headphones have a nice and soft padding that cushions your ears tight and snug, depending on your head size. The earpads are also replaceable if they were to wear out. They're comfortable enough to listen to audio for long sessions.

Cons: The only feasible con that I have about these headphones is the cord length, but this is just a personal sketch of mine and really isn't worth deducting an egg for. The coiled cord is all part in the science that makes them sound good anyway.

One specific con that I have is the included storage pouch. While it is very useful, one of the drawstrings used to close the pouch came loose in less than a week, and can be rather a pain to repair. Wasn't worth all the time I put into repairing it, but still no reason to deduct an egg...

Other Thoughts: Studio monitor headphones are quite a jump compared to normal consumer headphones. These Sony MDR-V600s will make you enjoy your audio a lot more with such high quality specifications that these possess.
