Sennheiser Silver RS 120 1/8in. and 1/4in. (3.5mm and 6.3mm) Connector Supra-Aural Wireless RF Hi-fi Headphone

Listen to your favorite music wirelessly, from over 300ft away. This RF transmitter and rechargeable wireless headphone reproduces rich sound from almost any source and features auto on/off.

The lightweight RS 120 RF lets you enjoy high-quality audio without cumbersome cables. The open, supra-aural headphones deliver a transparent, well-balanced sound with excellent bass production. The headphones come complete with a transmitter, which is also an easy-to-use recharging system. After use, simply place the headphones onto the convenient transmitter base station. They will automatically recharge for the next use. It’s easy to set them up, too! Just plug the transmitter in, and connect the audio cable to an analog output (RCA or headphone plug) - it’s that simple!

Powered by Open-Aire technology, the Sennheiser RS120 delivers detailed, analytical sound with excellent bass reproduction. It's ideal for all types of modern music and TV use. Compatible with set-top DVD and Blu-Ray players, DVRs, satellite receivers, A/V receivers, laptops, Mac/PC, and MP3 players, as well as LCD, Plasma and standard televisions that feature RCA outputs (red and white) and/or 1/8in. and 1/4in. headphone sockets.

Enjoy stereo sound anywhere in the room with reception through walls and ceilings up to 328ft. The transmitter works at 926MHz - 928MHz RF frequency, and three selectable transmit-channels help avoid interference and/or use more than one transmitter in a room. The wall-mountable transmitter features a convenient automatic on/off circuit: when you activate your audio source, the transmitter powers on without switches or buttons - easy! Five minutes after you turn off your audio source, the transmitter shuts off to conserve power.

The lightweight, luxury-padded ear cushions and adjustable headband deliver maximum comfort for extended listening periods. The earpads are replaceable for long service life.

The transmitter is fitted with an "Easy Recharge" function: conveniently recharge the headphone batteries by storing them in the metal cradle.

Volume, on/off, and tuning controls are located directly on the headphones — within your hand’s reach!

4 out of 5 eggspurchaser

Pros: I rated this item before with only 2 stars because of static. The company called me and helped fix the problem on my end and the headphones work properly now.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsGood but not the Sennheiser quality I'm used to

Pros: They do work.
Sound quality is good usually
Long range usage (so far they've worked fine upto 100 yards)
Nice that they charge just by placing them on the stand

Cons: I used Sennheiser headphones for about 20 years. My ears are easily irritated and so far Sennheiser and Razer are the only 2 brands that don't hurt my ears ... till now.
These headphones don't have the usual Sennheiser soft ear padding, instead they have some semi-hard sponge material, after 1 hour of use I have to take them off for a bit.
At times I get interference just by turning my head.
The most annoying thing is that if a movie is paused for a few seconds they will go into loud static noise so I have to turn them off whenever I pause a movie.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for cheap wireless headphones that work this will definitely do the job but if you are used to Sennheiser quality then I recommend the digital ones, they are about 3X the price than these ones but they are very comfortable and high quality.

3 out of 5 eggsAnalog, staticky

Pros: Does play audio wirelessly

Cons: While I didnt look inside it, the whole thing felt very analog, in a bad way, with static and a little wheel to adjust to reduce the static.

When the box that changed my TV out from digital to RCA broke I decided to drop these headphones and bought a new set that took the digital input, they were more expensive but I dont regret it.

Other Thoughts: Unless you are really strapped for cash I would buy a more expensive set, this is my only experience with sennheiser so I wont dog the brand

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Sound

Pros: Bought these for my dad so he can walk around and go outside. The sound is wonderful and he really digs them. He can go over 200+ feet away and still have clear sound. The battery life is also really great.

Cons: The top band is a bit stiff and flat. It doesn't conform to your head at all. You get used to it, but its not that comfortable until you wear them in.

Other Thoughts: Overall, they're great headphones. Highly worth the money for people who listen to music with no wires. Highly suggested!

2 out of 5 eggsWatch for the price guarantee

Pros: Free 2 day shipping with shop runner.

Cons: no idea where it is coming from, but a constant "click.. click... click... click..... click........ click." in the headset. Tried 2 of the other frequencies, no go. I can be in my recliner, I'll be perfectly perfectly still... lift my left leg.. and the clicking noise stops. lol. seriously.......

The price has not changed on newegg's website.. although I sent in a price match guarantee (and they accepted it). It's available at best buy right now as of 4/3.. for around $18 less.

Other Thoughts: Not sure I would buy these again. The constant clicking makes me go nuts. Waste of money at this point..

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Isn't USB interface. Rechargeable. Pretty good range compared to Bluetooth.

Cons: Item feels cheap and easily broken. Static hiss whenever audio is paused. Clipping when a complex (strong highs and lows) sound is playing.

Other Thoughts: I thought this was a good brand and it wasn't USB, so I could use it with my sound card. Rather disappointed. I'll get a Logitech headset instead.

3 out of 5 eggsSome good, some ......different

Pros: reasonably priced, good sound quality, decent range

Cons: operates on 900mhz, fit is odd (see below), sensitive to position on charger, materials and controls feel cheap, tuning is difficult and easily disturbed so must be repeated often, static hissing when transmitter loses signal

Other Thoughts: If you study some pics of these you'll see that they have a strange shape that causes (IMHO) a poor fit. It's not necessarily uncomfortable but it feels weird. I think the reason for the strange shape is to fit properly on the charger. Specifically, the headband does not follow a straight line between the ear cups but rather is offset. The earcups themselves are not parallel to each other so they do not seal well against the ears. Also, the earcup pivots are not at right angles to the headband like every other headphones I've seen. They just don't feel right. I think this is why some people complain about them falling off. It seems like nobody at the factory ever put them on. I would return them if the sound quality weren't so good. Good wireless is hard to find at any price.

1 out of 5 eggsNO POWER SUPPLY!

Pros: Manual includes part number for power supply so I can order one from another company.

Cons: No power supply was shipped with the unit rendering this product a very expensive paper weight.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these units last year as a gift. It was so nice I decided to do the same this year for my father who has degrading hearing and has to crank the TV volume up. I spent hours cleaning up and rewiring the entertainment center only to discover that there was no power supply in the box.

I am furious! Now I have to shell out extra cash for a power supply!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent purchase

Pros: Excellent sound quality
Very good range
Rechargable batteries
Charging stand isn't tacky and doesn't require plugging the headphones in

Cons: These headphones are gigantic. Very borg-y.
No optical in on the base, had to buy a converter for the TV. Not worth an egg, but still kind of a bummer.

Other Thoughts: Purchased for my grandfather who is hard of hearing. These have totally changed TV watching for him. He says he hasn't been able to enjoy the television this much in years. Everyone else can still hear the TV through the speakers since these are using the optical out for a sound bar with a converter. What else do you want?
