Sennheiser sound quality without wires, what could be better? The RS 120 wireless headphone system delivers great sound and lets you enjoy it throughout your house. Powered by two AAA batteries, the long operating time lets you wear them without worry.
The RF wireless signal delivers a range of up to 328 feet, so you can enjoy listening anywhere. The audio cable has a 1/8" plug with RCA to 1/8" and 1/8" to 1/4"audio adapters for near universal connectivity.
Pros: Sounds great just out of the box! I couldn't hear any audio distortion.
Sounds way better than any "bluetooth" headset.
There is very low "white noise" (unlike other cheaper RF headsets) [Seems to be grounded better than average RF headsets -- a little white noise is normal for RF technology, or so I'm told!]
Has a snug comfy fit. you could wear this for days and your ears will feal fine!
Seems to work very well with the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional 70SB088600002 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express Interface Sound Card
Charging the headphone is simple, just mount them properly on the set rest so that the metal headset prongs make a connection with with headband. (Look at the foam grooves, you will see indentations, put them there) The base charge light will light up red when they are charging.
Cons: Not all the instructions are in English, just follow the pictures provided, a 7 year old should be able to do this... :)
This is not a "con" but if the audio quality sounds bad... Recharge the batteries!
Other Thoughts: Note: Use the supplied rechargeable batteries - DO NOT use standard AAA batteries. The first Charge is for 24 hours, and you should get 18 hours use each charge.
Note: that you need to be careful about not stretching these headphones out, as this may make charging them a pain later, and they may not fit your head right. (Don't spread them out wider than the width of your head)
Make sure to set your sound card to 24bit 96000 Hz (Studio Quality) Output. Also adjust the EQ, Crystallizer, ands SVM (+ CMSS 3D if you use it) as this will improve quality.
Tuning the headset is easy it's just a spin wheel like most volume controls on headsets today (Although mine required no adjusting!)
I will re-review again later after I've had a chance to judge the audio performance quality.

Noise Cancelling not as advertised

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Nice sound. Wireless works very well. Comfortable to wear
Cons: The item is listed as "Circumaural Wireless RF Headphone - Retail". These headphones are NOT circumaural. They fit on the *outside* of my ears not *over* them. For this reason, the noise cancelling capability is not nearly as good as headphones with an actual cup that seals around a person's ear.
Other Thoughts: I sit in a cubicle area with loud people on both sides of me. My old headphones (now broken) sealed around my ears and shut out a great deal of noise without any music playing at all. I tried this set of headphones in the same environement and even *with* music playing, I could still hear my neighbors voices (all too well).

Pros: -Easy to install. -Good, clear sound with a decent bass. -Sturdy and made of adequate materials (doesn't feel cheap). -Very comfortable (I have a good size head and they do not feel uncomfortably snug or bothersome to the ear). -Aesthetically pleasing.
Cons: -Tuning and volume dials, along with the on/off switch, are in the rear of the headphones. -Slight background noise (white noise). -Random volume fluctuation (this could be unique to my environment).
Other Thoughts: I find the RS120 a good product for the $$. I use them for about 20 to 30 minutes at night before I go to sleep in my bedroom. My phones are 5.8GHz so this should cause no interference at all. The base of the headphones are no more than 10 feet away next to my LCD TV and in a clear path. NO matter what combination of volumes (tv and headset) I play with the headphones still give you some background noise...something I can live with due to the quality I expected for the $$. What bothers me most about this product is that the tuning dials are in the back, which means if you like to rest your head on a pillow you run the chance of moving the volume and/or the range dial which would completely take you out of synch. What I have noticed is that the volume tends to fluctuate @ random and I cannot pinpoint why. Other than that they are good for the $$; the batteries are easily installed, the charger is very convenient, they are very comfortable and the sound quality is great with a good bass

Noisy kids :)

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I have two toddlers who like to run and play (and shout). After 4 years of watching kids shows, I bought a couple of these headphones for me and my wife to watch our favourite TV shows and movies. Now we can keep up with the kids as well as keep up with the plot on our TV. We can also watch movies with mature language without worrying about the kids.
Cons: Don't look down or the headphones fall right off your head. Auto shut-off gives you a rude static shock to the ears.
Other Thoughts: Still appreciate it in spite of its cons.

Multiple connections possible
Reviewed By: Sukebe on 11/24/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: I got these on a special so I decided to get 2, because I live in an apartment complex and I have to keep the noise down when I'm watching movies/shows/gaming late at night with/without my girlfriend and/or friends. I hooked one to the console audio and computer sounds. I set each to different channels and the headsets can pickup both channels. I could still hear it on the other side of the apartment.
Cons: Sounds drops out here and there. There's a bit of white noise and it changes depending on where you move to. Too bad there's no recharging station for the headset.
Other Thoughts: For people to get an idea of the product, you plug the receiver in (AC adapter and audio source) and you chose 3 different channels. After you put in the included batteries and turn it on, you just tune it like a radio until you get to a comfortable volume (without too much white noise). After you get the 'sweet spot', just adjust the volume accordingly.
