5 out of 5 eggsAmazing precision

Pros: Extremely precise, well constructed, easy to program, a ton of functionality. The slide control is extremely responsive and moves without much effort.

Cons: No rotary switches.

Other Thoughts: Anyone who has ever used CH products in the past will demand nothing less than this kind of precision and construction. These devices are made to last a long time if you treat them properly. Dont be fooled by its dull appearance. Believe me, this throttle has incredible feel and it definitely elevated my game.

5 out of 5 eggsFlyer guy is wrong

Pros: I have had my CH stick, throttle and pedals for over 5 years now and they still work like I just took them out of the box. The CH mamager is very programmable, I have a script that closes my airbrake when I go to full AB. Tons of other ones also

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Flyer guy said the throttle looks like the real F-16, that is a lie. I work on F-16's and it looks nothing like it. A cougar looks like it. I fly lock on and in hyperlobby, google both of them...see ya in there.

5 out of 5 eggsTop of the line.

Pros: Unmatched precision. Durable and extremely rugged. Very high quality of manufacture. 4 hats and a mini-stick for mouse emulation or whatever you want. Outstanding warranty.

Cons: No axis for flaps, prop pitch, etc, but again, this is realistic. Expensive. CH software can be somewhat confusing. Not as comfortable to grip as Saitek's X52/X52pro throttle (but more comfortable than the Cougar).

Other Thoughts: I have written reviews for each of the high end CH products that are available on newegg (fighterstick, pedals, throttle, and quadrant). I've spent almost 1500 on flight simulator gear in the past year because I kept buying things that broke or were not very good. I've owned and either broke or sold far too many products to list here (including both X52s), I've mixed and matched countless stick/throttle combos, but CH is easily the best. The only thing other companies do better than CH is make their stuff prettier and more comfortable to use. CH provides superior precision, durability, quality control, and an outstanding warranty. In addition, they have legendary support for user modifications, scripting, and customization. They have very fast customer support through email and forums. Once you take the plunge you will accept nothing else, something I didn't fully appreciate until now. If you worship quality and precision, CH deserves a place on your desk.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid feel, well built.

Cons: Never have been able to get the mouse cursor stick thingy on it to work, software related. It's obvious CH builds good stuff, but their software programing skills are lacking. Software has high learning curve and difficult to use.

Other Thoughts: Been using throttle for a year or two. Not a single issue with them, sans software.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice!

Pros: Replaced my Thrustmaster WCS with this and I like it very much. I love the linear slide action over the TM axis. Lotsa buttons.

Cons: Software is harder that TM's but I'll get used to it.

Other Thoughts: Goes with the fighter stick and pedals well.

5 out of 5 eggsMust have for hardocre flyers

Pros: Authintic replication of the f-16 cockpit throttle, great precision and lots of buttons to make the HOTAS vision acheiveable

Cons: Not %100 authentic such as buttons instead of dials, but as a gamer who cares.. My hands are smaller but my fingers are long, so the large size isnt an issue for me.

Other Thoughts: If you must have the best.. get the ch total setup.. it functions as 1 joystick so some games that only accept 1 joysitck will allow you to use your rudders and throttle and joystick... basically the included software bundles all three contrlers into one device

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Gostick

Pros: Lots of buttons 20+hat (4 way hats respond as buttons). The ministick has a button hidden under the stick, sorta like a ps2 controller.

The throttle is on a slider instead of an axis, which takes getting used to. But once you get the feel for it it does its job well.

The ministick is just awesome, if you look inside it you will see metal gimbals. It is unlikely that it will ever break, save for maybe loosing your knob.

Awesome programming features, i was able to program a portion of the throttle as a reverse thrust axis for flight sims. For Freespace 2 open i set up a script for automatic afterburner and reverse thrust for when i reached the maximum and minimum throttle positions. Requires some basic programming knowledge but is superior to any other programming software that ive used.

Cons: When i opened the box the knob for the mini stick has come loose in shipping. there was no damage it was just a tad loose. Easily fixed with a hot glue gun. Other than that it was perfect. Id rather have a metal stick with a plastic knob that falls off, than an all plastic stick which would break after a weeks use.

Other Thoughts: The stick is somewhat uncomfortable if you position your fingers directly on the buttons in the rear of the grip, instead place the buttons between your fingers. Then when you want to press one, roll your fingers onto them. Also to reach the lower hat, its better to rotate your whole hand around the grip than it is to try to reach it with your thumb. DO these and you should be able to play for a few hours without too much strain.

5 out of 5 eggsnow i have them all.....

Pros: this thing just adds such realism too BF2 and IL2 Sturmovik...there are more buttons than one would need from most any game...all buttons feel solid and the thing is large...

Cons: the only negative thing i can say is this throttle is large...if you have small hands, you may not like this but i have med to large hands so is fits me nice

Other Thoughts: i now have the CH pedals, throttle, and fighter stick...i am happy with all three...the best i have owned.
