I like my other one better because it doubles as a wireless mouse and this one does not. Batteries last forever. I still haven't changed the original batteries and I use the remote at least twice a week for 4-5 hours each day I use it. It works fine if you only want it to be effective for PowerPoint presentations, but as a teacher, I need my presenter to also work as a mouse so I can show my students things I am doing on my computer so they can do them as well.
