1 out of 5 eggsNo Windows 10 Support

Pros: Great sound. Feels good on the head.

Cons: Worked great until upgrading to Windows 10. Current drivers do not install and I've tried several work arounds. At best basic stereo and no vibrations. No word from Rosewill about any updates coming.

Other Thoughts: Consider this abandoned hardware and avoid unless Rosewill updates the drivers.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful; just terrible

Pros: Great sound; rumble feature works great and is flawless with its compatibility.

Cons: I owned this head set for about 2 months and then the mic boom went bad; I sent in an RTV (I had to pay for shipping) and received another headset where the Mic boom connector was broken upon arrival, the mic had fallen out with the female connector and the wires were completely severed.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend if you intend to use this headset for communications, I do continue to use this headset for gaming purposes when i do not use voice chat.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, waiting on Win10 drivers

Pros: Really good headsets at a great price

Cons: Win10 has been out since July guys...

Other Thoughts: Paid $40 for these on special. For everything you get its hard to beat that price. They are comfortable, they do auto recognize with Win10 but you don't get everything and the sound is very good. Coming from basic headsets to these is night and day.

I'm sure the Win10 drivers will drop and if not there is always a manual install of the 8.1 drivers to get most of the functionality out of them.

5 out of 5 eggs2.5 years in

Pros: Comfortable, even on my huge head. Still sound decent for the price. Light, durable. No cracks or breaks that I can see. Love that I can remove the mic with ease. They still look great, even though I use them for 4-8 hours a day. Value at it's best.

Cons: Mic can be extremely sensitive, but may be my software, thus not removing a star.

Other Thoughts: Bought 5/14/2013 so 2 months early on 2.5 years, but I do not expect them to break anytime soon.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Windows 10 Support

Pros: I am able to find a couple of good points, but it still does not help with the definition of a headset.

* 5.1 surround Sound - This works out of the box without any help so long as you configure the playback device in windows.
* Smaller USB cable - Some usb headsets use a mini brick where you plug into the pc. This does not, so it makes it a lot easier to connect to laptops and other systems.
* Detachable Microphone

Cons: * Lack Windows 10 Driver, I tried the 8.1 driver but it did not fix the issues.
* Speakers are a bit loud depending on program.
* Microphone is not sensitive enough.
* Microphone is way too soft. I had to raise the volume up to more than 80% for it to pick up my voice.
* Microphone is prone to severe static.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably check this on my linux machine later to verify that it's just faulty drivers, but the issues on windows was with the built in driver from Microsoft, and the driver provided on rosewill's website.

4 out of 5 eggsHighquality for the price

Pros: Solid surround performance
Good fidelity
Low cost
Solid mic performance
Comfortable padding

Cons: Dodgy vibration
Possibly questionable workmanship
Vibration can be weak/non-responsive for my tastes

Other Thoughts: I've bought two pair of these now and they've been surprisingly good performers. The padding is soft and comfortable, the product feels solid, and had good audio performance (I'm actually listening to Daft Punk's We Are Human on my second pair at the moment).

Before conclusions are reached, I bought a second pair because I liked the first pair so much and I needed a headset for home, not because the first pair gave out.

The only thing that I've noted as an issue is the vibration function. It's controlled by a switch on the control box, a switch that isn't clearly explained in any of the documentation. On my first headset the vibration response seems a little muted. It takes a LOT of bass to get it to shake. On my second headset it's actually pretty decent if a little on the weak side for what I'd like (head massages will not be an option with this things..) But it's actually responding to the slightest bass. So take that as what you will.

2 out of 5 eggsI wanted to like them

Pros: Strong bass and loud volume. Very good noise blocking of external sounds. The vibration bass adds a nice feeling of having a large sub-woofer that my home theater has. The buttons on the controller are easy to use an see. If you can overlook my cons and like to have the power of a sub-woofer in earphones, these are for you.

Cons: My major issue was lack of support for Windows 10. I found that the CD included only had drivers for XP through Windows 7. On the website I was able to find Windows 8 drivers however they would not install on Windows 10. The recommendation is unless you want the software version of 7.1 you could use the windows default drivers. While those did work, the volume was too load, even at the lowest setting. After a large amount of trying to use 3rd party filters to lower the volume somewhat, I gave up on this headset.

One other point is that the vibration is connected directly to the sub woofer. If you shut that off your 5.1 basic becomes 5.0. I expected it to at last route the bass into the standard speaker instead of just shutting it off. Lastly, when the sound is idle, it would sound like the sub-woofer (vibration) would turn on with the slightest of sound. For example, the "click" when clicking on a web-link would cause one to hear a vibration for about a second instead of a crisp "click" sound. while not gaming I would find that I was turning off the sub-woofer so to not hear this vibration.

Overall sound quality was OK. At first the strong bass made me feel that these had great sound reproduction however as I used them I noticed that the mid-high and high range was very muted. I tried to use the Windows 10 equalizer to correct this but was not able to a quality l had with other products.

Other Thoughts: I normally like the products of Rosewill. I have many other of their PC components such as PC case, hard drive bays and USB hub and while I understand that having a low cost can need to have lower quality, this was much more than I was willing to give up. At the end of the day, I chose to look at other products for my sound setup.
The only other thing that I want to add is that my prior headset was a $100 plus headset and I might have expected too much from a lower cost device.

Pros: Great sound, surround sound too! Cancel noise really well, vibration is really cool

Cons: I loved the vibrations at first, i still do love them. But if your using the built in mic, there will be alot of static when using vibs. Also you may get a headache if you use it for a long time. Also head phones are tight or i have a big head,

5 out of 5 eggsVibrating headphones

Pros: Great Sound
Great Mic

Cons: Mic cover fell off practically right away.

Other Thoughts: These are one of those things you didn't know you needed until you had it. The only thing I would change (but im not sure if it is possible) would be to have a headphone jack as well. I know it needs the USB to power the vibrations.
