5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Has dual IDE port plus dual PCI. Great for connecting PATA drives and older peripherals. Includes SATA 6.0 and USB 3.0.

Cons: Not as quick for gaming as the 970 Extreme4, but quick enough for other purposes. Doesn't include Firewire, but does support USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: Great general purpose board -- very flexible.

5 out of 5 eggsFan as expected, install straight forward

Pros: Works as advertised: reduced Intel i5-3570 CPU temp by about 15 degrees compared to stock Intel cooler. (no overclocking). Ambient temperature really makes a difference (I live in an un-airconditioned house in Hawaii...usually high 70's)

Very quiet even at max RPM. Quieter than my mid-grade case fans all the time.

Cons: The "quiet" setting is accomplished by a voltage-reducing (therefore rpm reducing) cable insert. kind of goofy.

Included alan wrench (hex key) tool was of very low quality.

Other Thoughts: This thing is HUGE. Get a ruler out that has centimeters, and MEASURE TWICE to make sure it will fit.

I had absolutely no issues with the install as other reviewers have reported. (no cables or ram interference, no bending, etc).

That said, my computer case gives access to the back of the cpu-mount on the motherboard without any dissassembly. The computer case is easily wide enough to accomodate the height of the heatsink. Cooler Master Storm Trooper.

Finally, this thing is HEAVY. In the fine print of the instructions, it says to REMOVE THE HEAKSINK before TRANSPORT!! to avoid damage to the motherboard.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible

Pros: its small and compact

Cons: it started skipping before I even finished the first transfer

Other Thoughts: you get what you pay for

new egg has cheap prices and cheap products that use cheap materials and cheap packaging - expect a high failure rate for external HDs

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: There's not much that isn't good about this laptop. The hardware is nice and there aren't any flaws. The keyboard rocks.

Cons: Wish it had an SSD, but that's not happening at this price.

Also, wish that I didn't have to remove Win 8 to make it usable, but once again, that's not Lenovo's fault. It's the fault of Microsoft's OEM agreements. No policy editor. No right-click dragging. Those were the two death knells of Win8 on this box. Otherwise, I would have grinned and borne it.

Other Thoughts: Wish I hadn't gotten a defective cracked screen one first, at least that makes this even at 3 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Best Purchase

Pros: I originally bought this board because my Asus Rampage Formula (LGA775) was finally showing age and I can honestly say, it was well worth what I paid. USB 3 front panel support, and USB 3 on the rear. Digital Audio. Plenty of SATA ports. This board handles whatever I throw at it.

Cons: For me, there we no cons.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this board to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsI can't say enough about it!

Pros: Get it! You may waffle as I did because it looks like a humidifier, but you'll get over that when you get this beast set up.

- Easy install. All of it. Hard drives to OS.
- Tons of features and configuration options. Calling this a NAS is an understatement. It's a server made simple. (Hey! They should use that!)
- DSM demo on their site. They're confident in they're product and they should be.
- Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR). Read up on this. It's perfect for those that can't buy this and 4 hard drives all at once (like me).
- iPhone apps to remotely perform operations, i.e. upload photos, start a download, move files, etc.
- Very quiet. They have quiet mode and cool mode. I have it set on cool mode and I still have to lean forward and listen to hear the fans.
- Keeps cool regardless of fan mode.
- FAST!
- A lot of 3rd party and developer-supplied apps available.

Cons: - It looks like a humidifier or space heater. I wished it looked like one of their lean and mean looking models. The DS413 for example (no "j").
- Download station doesn't have "force start" to bypass the "no download" window on the schedule and you can't adjust the download priority. (They're pretty responsive to customer feedback, so I think this will change in the future.)
- No Perforce installer. There are other source management apps available for install, but not for my preferred: Perforce.
- Surveillance camera licenses are oddly expensive. I don't use the surveillance station, but the camera licenses are inexplicably expensive. If I do decide to add camera's to my house, I wouldn't use the surveillance station because of the license expense.

Other Thoughts: I started with a new Seagate 3TB ST3000DM001 and two old 1TB drives . I put the 3TB in slot 1 and the other drives in 3 & 4. I left slot 2 open for another 3TB that I anticipated on getting a month later. When I got the second 3TB, I followed the instructions and it was added to the available storage without a hitch.

Pretty awesome product. I did a lot of research before buying this. Spending this much money is a big investment for me, but it was well worth it. My expectations were exceeded.

4 out of 5 eggsLove this phone, wish it has better BT auto-connect

Pros: I bought this Blu T190i from Newegg store on e Bay to use as an emergency phone in case something happens to my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I can't use it. For under $30, this is a very good phone. The audio is loud and clear, the Bluetooth is very easy to set up, the FM radio has excellent reception, the size is very compact (great for pocket phone)... The specs said this phone would accept a microSD card with 8GB max but I tried a Samsung 16GB microSD in it and the card worked great with no problems. The battery after a full charge seems to last forever.

Cons: It was hard for me to figure out where to find the Bluetooth option in the MENU because BLU has put it under the Organizer submenu. It was very easy to pair the T190i with my Panasonic DECT 6.0 home phone system with Link-to-Cell feature. But every time I powered the phone OFF/ON or when I came back to the Bluetooth range, the T190i always asked me if I wanted to connect to the Panasonic DECT 6.0? The same thing happened when I paired the T190i with the Samsung Bluetooth headset. I do wish it has auto-connect like the other BT devices I'm using. A bit annoying but I'm not gonna complain about that too much given the low price of the phone. Now I will be happier if I can find where to order extra batteries for the T190i.

Other Thoughts: Charging the phone the 1st time took quite a long time, about 4 hrs or so. I took out the T-Mo SIM from the Samsung S2 and inserted into the SIM1 slot of the T190i, powered it up and I could use my cell phoneline instantly. Texting was hard and took longer when we got used to texting on a touch-screen phone. The specs said it accepted a microSD card with 8GB max but I didn't have an 8GB uSD card so I just tried the Samsung 16GB class-10 card laying on my computer desk and it worked without problems. The phone recognized the total size as 14.9GB which was correct because 16 * (1000/1024)^3 = 14.9. Honestly, I think a 4-8GB microSD card is a great size for this phone.
