5 out of 5 eggsNo better mouse for mobility.

Pros: -Comfortable claw-grip.
-Can be used literally on any surface. (I have a glass desk.)
-Luxurious Design (Normally I'm function over form, but this is a plus on this one at the office, looks professional when clients come in.)
-Logitech Options software (Very nicely done this time around.)
-Can be used plugged in & charging and unplugged, of course.

Cons: -On/Off switch isn't as quick or as nice as the original MX Anywhere.

4 out of 5 eggsPros and Cons

Pros: This is my second Anywhere MX, I had the original Anywhere MX until the left mouse button quit working and aside from not being able to click it was a great mouse.

This one comes with the new, slimmer, unifying receiver which is nice, and it has the ability to synch with multiple receivers. All the other features are just like the original.

Cons: It did not come with a carrying case like the original, luckily it's the same size so I was able to re-use my old one, but a mouse meant for portability should include some type of protector.

The switch is much smaller and recessed compared to the original, it was originally about the width of a finger and could easily by turned on while removing it from the case in a single motion. The new model requires that you flip it over and actually look at what you're doing while you use your finger nail to turn it off or on.

The new model has rechargeable batteries instead of replaceable. I haven't managed to run the batteries out yet but a pair of double A's in the original would easily last a month or more.

Other Thoughts: If it were plausible I would likely purchase the original again if I could, it's almost the same mouse with an almost identical feature, see cons above.

2 out of 5 eggsLight, portable & Fairly Ergonomic. Sucks at tracking on many surfaces.

Pros: I have owned this mouse for nearly eight months now, and use it on a daily basis. It's easy to carry around in a laptop bag and is comfortable to use despite its small size. The side buttons are a nice feature for a small mouse and all the buttons have a good click feel. The scroll wheel is good in "notchy" mode, but a bit fast in smooth mode.

Cons: The biggest problem with this mouse is it absolutely sucks at tracking on many surfaces. It seems that, to get the mouse to track on things like glass, they did a poor job of making it track on surfaces that most mice have no problem with. It will track well on glass or a light colored smooth desk with little texture, but anything else and your pointer will be jumping all over the screen. Put in on a black desk or a textured mouse pad and you'll have inconsistent tracking or no predictability at all. As a result, MX "Anywhere" is a bit of a misnomer.

Next biggest problem for me is the battery indicator. The mouse and the software have the same problem: they won't tell you your battery is getting low until it's basically dead, and the indicator can't be configured to show a percentage, so there's really no good way to tell if it's time to charge it.

I guess the other problem is the bluetooth connectivity. I use this with a MacBook Pro and if I connect with bluetooth, I have to regularly reconnect, which first involves clearing out the previous connection followed by several fruitless attempts at establishing a new one. Instead I just use the USB receiver, which works without any problems.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this mouse, because its premise is that it works anywhere, but fails miserably at it. Spend your money on a mouse that uses a more reliable tracking technology and preferably one that lets you swap the batteries when they run out.

5 out of 5 eggsCorrections to my Previous Review

Pros: Please refer to my previous review.

Cons: Please refer to my previous review.

Other Thoughts: It seems that the "blame" for spotty Bluetooth experience does not entirely fall on Logitech's shoulders. In my case the problem can be tracked to the Bluetooth software stack used by Intel for their WiFi + BT combo cards. While Intel's newer BT 4.0 cards work in the HS (high speed) mode, the most recent drivers (as of this writing v18.1.15xx) still have issues with the Bluetooth Smart / LE (low energy) mode that seems to be needed for this mouse to operate properly.

At this point most users will most likely wait for Intel to fix their drivers. If you cannot wait the other option is to stick to the included USB receiver or (if you are technically inclined) change your BT card to one with different chipset. I switched to Qualcom / Atheros one and now I can share this mouse between laptops.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat with USB receiver. Half Baked with Bluetooth

Pros: Sleek and comfortable for on-the-go notebook use.
Big enough for desktop users with medium sized hands.
Quality materials all around. Slimmer USB receiver (protrudes less on outside of the USB port).
Good connectivity and range when using USB receiver.
Connects via Bluetooth & works properly with ChromeOS (on a recent Asus Chromebook)

Cons: Minimalist documentation.
Smallish On/Off switch -- tiny when compared to the old Anywhere MX model.
I was unable to pair it with up-to-date Win 7 Pro and recent Linux with 3.16 kernel using Bluetooth (tried on multiple computers with different Intel BT 4.0 adapters to no avail). It seems that you will need Bluetooth Smart and Win 8 or higher to use that connectivity option.

Other Thoughts: Gentler scroll wheel "click" than other Logitech performance products -- may be good or bad depending on your preferences.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat mouse bluetooth

Pros: the mouse performs well with bluetooth, and pairs easily with windows. Speed is acceptable. Great travel mouse. Not to small, but not big enough for long computer sessions. I would recommend just for laptop quick in and done use.

Cons: Don't expect to do Photoshop with this mouse. This makes for a great travel mouse. But the accuracy just like any wireless device is not there. If your looking for exact high DPI laser tracking then this mouse is NOT IT. There are other mice from logitech that are better suited for this.

Other Thoughts: just don't use this to load a new pc with. You might end up having to use the dongle to get the os to initially see the mouse, then switch it over to bluetooth once the system is loaded. But i expect this is the same with any bluetooth device.
