2 out of 5 eggsFlawed

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: sound great, comfortable, they look good.

Cons: poor battery performance compared the the model they replace. poor wireless performance. poor driver support. poor firmware support. Dont just take my word for it go read the logitech community forums. Im a tech, I am able to surmount the issues created by shoddy drivers and logitech cutting kernel-mode out of the driver set. (thus permanently losing 7.1 surround) Alot of other people are having alot of problems. The driver set for these headphones is terrible. I actually took time out of my day to warn people off. Takes quite a bit for me to do such a thing.

Other Thoughts: I wouldnt recommend these to anybody. Not till Logitech figures out what they are doing.

4 out of 5 eggsA little expensive, but worth it if it fits your head.

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: -Great Sound Quality
-Good fit
-Great Wireless range
-Sucker for RGB LEDs.
-Multiple inputs if you want that kind of thing

Cons: The only major complaint I have is that the material the ear cups are made out of make a crunching noise when I move my head. It's a little bit distracting right now, but I feel like the material will wear out a bit and lessen.

It's a bit tight to start with. I feel like after a multiple hour session, it could get tedious. There is some weight to the things.

Other Thoughts: I haven't encountered the issues with it going to "sleep" and I gamed for several hours last night with it, but it was over Skype.

Seriously, this is an awesome headset. If you have the money and need an upgrade, it's worth it. Logitech gets the thumbs up from me.

5 out of 5 eggsNice sounding headset. many fun changing lights.

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: Works. Very comfortable.
Many sound profile choices.
Update on the Logitech Gaming Software will fix a firmware to make the choice not to go to sleep.

Cons: Slips off easily when tipped back in my gaming chair.
Guess most do but wont knock off an egg for that.

Other Thoughts: This one I have now was an RMA replacement.
Some of these just stop working. No low battery warning.
When the software indicated a charge of no less than half, it just went dead suddenly.
Only a light on the microphone. letter G never lit back up when tried to charge.
New one is working great.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: Sound is great, pretty easy to set up with the logitech software. The pass through function is cool. In order to use the boom mic with your phone it needs to be connected directly to the headset via the included cable. Otherwise you can plug it into the USB transmitter and get audio pass through only.

Cons: I have to knock off 1 egg for how they fit. I find this headset to be a little tight on my head. I have a pretty average size melon and I find my self needing to take them off every 30-60 minutes or so to give my head a break.

Other Thoughts: The lights are neat, but you unless you you a mirror in front of you they are pretty useless. Goes into breathing mode when charging when the computer is off.

The sleep function is a little annoying, turns off with 5 minutes of inactivity. Wish this could be turned off.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product and easy to setup!

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: Great sounding, comfortable and lightweight.

Cons: Had to adjust sound quality settings to keep 3rd party voice chat software from crashing. Other than that this is a great USB headset and was completely worth the price for me!

4 out of 5 eggsOverpriced, but so far so good.

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: -Great wireless range
-Reasonable battery life*
-Comfortable

Cons: -Non standard battery
-Spendy; Most I've ever spent on a headset
-Bad software.
-No, really. The software is awful.
-Large USB receiver. Not a problem for me, but I could see it getting broken off sticking out of a computer.
-Covered in lights. Why? No, really. Give me one good reason.

Other Thoughts: You have to install the software to disable the lights, but once they're gone do yourself a favor and uninstall that software! It caused problems with other applications, but the kicker was when it simply disabled my (WIRED) keyboard during a game. I have no idea how. Killing the process for the logitech headset fixed the issue. I got rid of it after that.

With the software gone, I've never had any of the "shutting off to save power" other people complain about. I've also not had any trouble with the battery- I don't have time to game all day these days, but some nights I'll still go for 6+ hours and I can go 2-3 nights like that before I have to plug this thing in.

That brings me to my biggest complaint- the battery. It's removable, why can't it be standard? At the very least, why can't it be like any (sane) cellphone battery so you can have a spare sitting in a charger, ready to swap out when yours gets low? Plugging in my wireless headset while playing a game is a major bummer, and I'm not about to remember to plug it in after use. Speaking of which, I'm plugging it in right now- because it's been a few days since I remember unplugging it last...

Smaller complaint, the lights are stupid. This is a device that, when in use:
-you can't see
-is limited to battery power
-rides on that fat head of yours
So please, indulge me. Why would you add more plastic and electronics adding weight and increasing power draw for a feature that not only gives no improvement to the purpose of the product, but actually detracts from its functionality? I wonder how many engineering hours were spent (adding to the cost of the product) to design and tweak these.

Other than that, they do their job- and I've not broken them yet.

5 out of 5 eggsBeats the 930's hands down!

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: Excellent sound. great mic.... software works flawlessly. Firmware update first thing to enable time out option to shut off when you like automatically.. i chose 30 minutes. All the comfort you need, tight on the head, and soft cloth earcups. came with a braided usb charger cable also. coming from a G930, that we all know had its terrible connection issues, even changing the config file.. These are AWESOME! My 930 are packed up andf in my closet.. anyone want them?

Cons: none-

Other Thoughts: Was either these or the Astro A50s... these are cheaper and i have a 910 keyboartd, so its a no brainer...

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: -Looks pretty
-Adjustable lighting
-Comfortable for hours, probably (I guess I'll never really know)

Cons: -Hollow sound (compared to Razer Kraken Chroma). The sound just seems.... lacking. No real punch.

- Shuts off after 5 minutes of gaming. I read that this is a thing, and that it has some auto-off feature to keep it from draining the battery when no audio is present for a bit. Okay, fair enough. Apparently muting and unmuting the mic is enough to prevent this.... except, this isn't how it worked for me at all. In the middle of my first round of Rocket League (which is 5-10 minutes, depending on the action), it turned off. Rebooting games, rebooting TS wouldn't get the sound to work again after switching it back on. So I had to reboot. Halfway through my next round, it happened again. Unacceptable when I'm constantly muting my mic and there is a never ending stream of sound coming. So I thought maybe I'd update my firmware, since it says there is an update... that should fix it...

- Bricked on firmware update. I've owned this thing for hours. Nothing but problems, and now after trying to update the firmware, the Logitech software won't even detect it. Tried rebooting, reinstalling drivers, pretty much everything I can think of, and the software tells me I need to wake up the device. Zero sound coming through the thing. Nothing will detect it anymore. I switched it off and unplugged everything related to this device 30 minutes ago, and (oh the irony) the thing won't even turn off completely. Nope, I'm staring at the rotating spectrum of lights while it sits in the box I plan to bury this thing in. I don't even know if it's worth the RMA, I am so frustrated with this company.

Other Thoughts: I owned the G930 for years. That headset was a test of patience within itself, thanks to the horrendous wireless connection issues. I saw some good reviews on this, and that my primary concern was addressed - that when going USB, it wouldn't rely on wireless, but the USB connection. I wish I had gone another route, because once again Logitech has done nothing but disappoint me. It's a shame, because had this worked out of the box, I would absolutely love it. I can deal with the more hollow sound for better comfort and functionality, but I cannot handle such dysfunction so soon.

Also, this has occurred to me on Windows 7, however some Googling has shown me that this issue occurs frequently with 7, 8.1 and 10.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

This review is from: Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum USB Connector Circumaural Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Pros: easy to set up.
easy to use.
the lights do look really cool.
sound fantastic.
really cool feature to plug your phone in. you can answer your phone without having to take off the headset.
great construction, really sturdy
the mic and usb adapter storing in the headset is great.

Cons: I just got them today so I have not found anything to complain about.

Other Thoughts: I replaced a set of Logitech G930 with these. I have to say these are a definite step up. the cloth ear pieces on the G933 are much cooler than than the leather like material that is on the G930. the new button layout is really nice. the mic and the usb adapter store right in the headset. I would highly recommend these. they are a little expensive but, for me, well worth the money.
