5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing mouse with an amazing feel. I'll never be able to go back to a standard mouse again. Fits my hand perfectly after adjusting all the movable pieces. Nice to have all the programmable buttons at my fingertips, but to me that's just icing to the brilliant ergonomics of this.

Cons: VERY sensitive to dust

Other Thoughts: All my friends are impressed just by the looks of it.

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy!!!!

Pros: Comfortable
Best looking mouse I have ever owned
Can change the weight and feel of the mouse.

Cons: This thing does not track very well. Horrible for FPS games. Could not get the software to work correctly with mouse. Would not register. Mouse becomes greasy. Just don't buy!!!

2 out of 5 eggsAbsolute garbage

Pros: Ergonomical, a lot of buttons to emulate keys using the included program. Very sensitive and precise......when it works.

Cons: The 6400 DPI sensor has been cutting in and out since day one. I thought it was drivers for a while and I would unplug and plug it back in only for it to happen again. Now I'm calling it in under warranty. Should have just stuck with a Logitec. Madcatz always has been notorious for making garbage.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I got the one bad one, who knows. A $100 mouse shouldn't do what this thing does.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid like the plague

Pros: By far the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned.

Cons: Didn't track well on black mousepad, after doing some research found it's a common problem. Still has occasional tracking issues on white pad.
LMB has stopped working correctly. Sometimes fails to recognize clicks at all, sometimes doubles up (ie reads 1 click as 2). Incredibly annoying, especially on pull downs (will open an close very quickly).

Other Thoughts: After years of rocking my Logitech MX 518 the scroll wheel died and instead of trying to find another one (discontinued) I decided to try something new. After reading multiple reviews I finally decided to give the RAT 7 a try and picked it up on sale. It's super comfortable but other than that I can't say anything good about it. Absolutely not worth buying and the experience has been so frustrating I highly recommend avoiding this brand.

4 out of 5 eggsCustom

Pros: Customizable
Comfortable
Light weight or heavy, your call
Fast
Looks really good

Cons: The littlest dirt can cause the cursor to not move right or left or up or down. you have to blow on the bottom to clear it. after months of use it started to double click on me. Also the middle scroll wheel, at certain points gets very wobbly. never really bothered me much but it is weird. Also, the thumb scroll does absolutely nothing!

Other Thoughts: Very nice mouse. I made it perfect for my hand and for what I do. the cursor gets mucked up at times when I need it most but a simple blow on the bottom will fix any problems It may have. Right now thought, the mouse is started to double click on single clicks and that I can not blow away. 4/5 eggs because the thumb scroll does nothing, the mouse bugged out on me, the software isn't very good and the scroll wheel is loose.

5 out of 5 eggsIts not a mouse, its a r.a.t.

Pros: so this was my mouse of choice when i built my gaming pc 5 months ago. so far its been pretty reliable. 3 pages to set macros for diffferent games, on the fly dpi switching for accuracy when you need it. and a program of preloaded macro maps for different games is pretty handy too. but the best part is the customizing. i have big hands being 6'5. but the r.a.t. has so many ways to make it bigger or smaller and all around comfortable.

Cons: the only thing i would say is bad with this mouse is the precision button. i find its too far forward to easily press. and i love fps so i thought i was going to use that button all the time. nope. but im not taking an egg off for that.

Other Thoughts: like it so much i m going to pick up a r.a.t. 5 or 3 for my asus rog laptop.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother.

Pros: Excellent feel, great ergonomics, very comfortable*. Very responsive & tactile clicks*, great tracking* and the 'sniper button'.
(*See Cons)

Cons: I had this mouse for 5 months. From the day I received it, there were issues. One of the backs (which just happened to be the one I preferred) was loose and rattled, even after I manually tightened the retaining spring. I also experienced the occasional dropout of horizontal movement that most owners of this mouse report. Both of which I was able to work around. Today, the left-click just failed. The switch collapsed and the button is now mushy and unusable. I contacted MadCatz for support and was informed that they have no cross-ship options or pre-ship replacement with a credit card hold.

Other Thoughts: When one drops $100+ on a vital piece of computing equipment, they tend to expect a better turnaround than 4-6 weeks and some form of option for a quicker replacement. They also expect said equipment to function out of the box and for more than 5 months.

I'd hoped MadCatz's acquisition of Saitek and subsequently; the Cyborg line had classed up the joint. Unfortunately, it seems the opposite is true and MadCatz has dragged the once great Saitek down to their abhorrent level of 'quality' that they've been infamous for for years.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely awesome

Pros: Customization is awesome... you will be able to find a comfortable grip on this mouse. Extremely accurate mouse for gaming. I'm using this for Starcraft 2 and it's way more accurate than the Mamba I was previously using.

Cons: I had an external hard drive sit on my desk... it causes very slight vibrations on the desk because of the fan it uses. This is enough to cause the mouse cursor to start moving on it's own and cause it to be unusable. Make sure your environment is free of stuff like this before you consider this mouse. Not enough to remove an egg though as it's an amazing product when used correctly.

Other Thoughts: Best mouse I've ever owned. I recommend an Xtrac Hybrid mouse pad to go along with it.

4 out of 5 eggsSome good, some bad

Pros: The customizability and the buttons you have at your disposal are really convinient. The side scroll button really helps in certain situations along with the middle mouse wheel. The style is also cool looking.
I have a slightly bigger then average hand and was able to make several adjustments to fit my hand better then anything else on the market.

Cons: The adjustments don't go far enough. It makes pressing some buttons difficult, like the DPI adjustment button and the rear side button.
There are also small grouves where the tips of your fingers touch the mouse frequently that after an hour can be a little irritating. The notch in the side buttones and the holefor the screw on the right side where my pinky and thumb tips always sit are constantly feeling the pits for these design elements.

Other Thoughts: The slide pad underneath the optical sensor collects dust. Its really easy to remove with little residue. I highly recommend peeling it off as you lose tracking if small bits of dust get caught in there.
Still not sure how to execute the different profile buttons and rarely use them. I wish I can set different profiles to work when certain programs become the active program. Like if I am in IE, it automatically uses the IE profile.
