3 out of 5 eggsCould be a great mouse

Pros: Great mouse with tons of customization but has two major flaws.

Cons: It feels great except the pinky rest could be wider but thats personal choice. Rests are adjustable so most probably wont have an issue. I do have two main reasons this mouse has gone from great to I wont buy another. First is it is extremely picky as to what mat it will work on. I have 4 mats it is suppose to work on and the razor destructor is the only on it works on and its still finicky on that. Second major problem is its a pain to setup on Linux operating systems but I'm a noob to Linux so many may not have a problem.

4 out of 5 eggsTons of customization, looks cool.

Pros: I've been searching for a mouse that will fit "man hands". I've tried a lot and this guy is up to the challenge. You can literally change the mouse and customize everything on it. I've only had it for a week but I've learning to love it and changing it everyday to get the best fit.

Cons: Battery lift does drain quickly depending on the DPI and how long you use the mouse. But it takes two seconds to pull out the spare and plug it in. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: I'll follow up on this review after I've played with this mouse for a bit.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: Kool, 2 batteries are a great idea!

Cons: I wanted to answer some of the issues i've seen from readers. The mouse has 6400 dpi capable and is very sensitive. The vibrations from your speakers or even your PC can make the cursor move on the screen. ANY WIRELESS MOUSE WILL DO THAT, but especially one as with a sensitive laser like this! It is not a defect! U need to cushion the mousepad or move your speakers, if you have a separate sub-woofer, away from your desktop. I had to put mouspads under my pc because the vibrations from it also make the mouse move. I take the mouse to work and use it with no issues!

1 out of 5 eggsTurrible

Pros: Looks cool, lots of customizations

Cons: As others have stated the mouse has a mind of it's own, it jumps around and generally lags. I also have a problem of it getting stuck in one direction (vertical or horizontal.) This mouse has been nothing short of a headache.

Other Thoughts: I originally owned a cyborg version of the mouse but had to warranty it due to some small issue, it was replaced with this mad catz version that I find far inferior, the cyborg mouse had none of these problems, what did you do mad catz??

1 out of 5 eggsSucks

Pros: Looks cool, lots of adjustments, wireless.

Cons: Do yourself a favor and don't buy this mouse, it fidgets all over the screen which is unacceptable considering the price. Trust me I've done everything I possibly could to fix it but nothing works. Try playing a game when the mouse will stop moving and stutter all over the place, it makes games completely unplayable.

Other Thoughts: I'm probably going to be voted as not helpful but at least I'm being honest.

1 out of 5 eggsGiving up on it

Pros: Feels good, looks good.

Cons: It's made by Mad Catz.

I hate to complain about an entire brand but I've never had good luck with any of their products. Had I noticed it was Mad Catz I would not have bought it.

My biggest problem is that the cursor dances all around the screen whenever there is a little bit of bass. Makes it unusable with my 5.1 surround system.

Battery life is also terrible. It's nice that you get a spare, but I have to switch them several times a day in the middle of a game.

While Maybe it's just what to expect with a high sensentivey mouse, it's very difficult to double click just using windows without the mouse moving too far and draging the icon vs. doing a double click, very annoying.

Also take note that the horzontal scroll wheel does not do horizontal scrolling! Best you can do is bind it to left and right buttons.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mouse

Pros: Excellent tracking, and great button features. I love the customizable ergonomics of this mouse, and being able to add weight makes this the mouse for me. I applaud having the battery charger act as a 'dock' for the spare battery, as well as a receiver for the wireless mouse signal. Mouse looks great and is always a conversation piece. This mouse just feels good to use. The hardware feels solid and reliable. It's nice to be able to adjust the mouse to the contours of your hand.

Cons: This is barely a con, just being nit-picky and is something that can use improvement. Mediocre battery life, but it's not a deal breaker.

Other Thoughts: One battery charge usually lasts me 4-5 one hour sessions. It's not such a big deal to swap batteries. To other reviewers claiming "nightmare" scenarios changing batteries.......this is not the case. It takes a few seconds to swap the battery and click the new one in place. The second battery is always charged when I need it, so I don't have much issue with this at all. Another word to counter a bad review I've read, wrist support isn't provided by a mouse, you need to get an ergonomically correct wrist rest for wrist support. You've got to be careful when reading reviews because a lot of times you just get the complaining, whiners. I've tech savy and posting the truth. Excellent mouse, I would buy again.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy Rat? Whyyyyyy???

Pros: - Nice rubberized finish
- Heafty (+adjustable weight)
- The "Aim Slowdown" button
- Nice, Sensitive Laser!

Cons: - Too Many To List
- The adjustments work against the comfort-ability of your hand. You Wrist Will not have sufficient leverage to rest on. You will get strains over time.
- The battery is weak. No we have been provided with two you say? It is an absolute "nightmare" trying to switch the batteries every evening. I wounded my fingers trying to remove the mouse's food! Unacceptable! It's wild, and nasty!
- The cursor will not behave properly NO MATTER what you do. IT IS NOT A DRIVER COMPATIBILITY ISSUE!!!
- The base has to literally be RIGHT NEXT TO THE MOUSE for Gamers sake, for the're to be any retention of a smooth cursor movement..... And even THEN!!!! :( ....Cursor doesn't move per your command, it moves whenever it wants to.

And guys, believe me, I am NOT new to computers. This product should be stayed away from as if it were a vicious fire-breathing rat, that it is. If you play along with it, it will kill you.

Other Thoughts: I really, wanted, I REALLY WANTED to keep, own, be proud to own one of these mice. It woke on it's own and convinced me completely otherwise!!! It was a nightmare as soon as I connected this mouse to my pc. Everything installed properly, and I thought, yay, all is well. Until i entered a game and my mouse cursor started lagging!... Not Exeptable!. I lost, left the game, proceeded to troubleshooting all the possibilities. Uninstalled any and all other user interface devices. No Go. As I knew, right from the beginning. I also noticed that the receiver's signal is very weak. 12 centimeters away from the mouse, the cursor would lagg. Receiver right on top of mouse, lagg is still there just not as disturbing. If this can be of any help to the makers of this product. I actually think the laser is fine here, in this model. And what was causing the issues for me was that loss signal type of effect. The mouse would slow down to half the speed I was mooving it at. Constantly.!!! Unacceptable. When I clicked on the desktop, lets say a button, the click would jump up and right or something lilke that and I failed to hit the button I was aiming for... Also Unacceptable....

Guys Please Redeem yourselves, this product is killing you as a brand. Test everything before releasing to public.

I am in the process of RMA'ing it back to newegg. And if possible will keep you guys up to date on any developements. I wish that I could get any suggestions for me to replace the Rat with another decent gaming mouse?
