5 out of 5 eggsVery comfy mouse!

Pros: This mouse is designed for right handers only. It's taller than a "standard" mouse by about 10-15mm. If you're looking for tiny, look somewhere else. It fits my hand perfectly, and glides so smoothly across my desk it's amazing! VERY responsive, turned my speed way down as others did. The thumb buttons are a little odd, never used a mouse with them before, but it's not any kind of drawback. (Mine was blue, the pic shows maroon. I prefer blue anyway!) It has a very gloss finish on the silver & colored portions, where the black on the sides is a rubbery material to give better gripping.

Cons: Not really a con, but it does weigh SLIGHTLY more than my "Mi***S***" optical mouse, but it's hardly noticable, aspecially since it glides so much more smoothly. It has 6 pads to glide on instead of the standard 4, and is much quieter when cruising across the rough texture of my desk than any other I've used to date.

2 out of 5 eggsHuge!

Comments: I tried one of these for about 2 weeks and never could get used to the size.

I use a 3M Precision Mouse Pad and this mouse would move the pointer all over the screen by itself. If I used it on the desk surface it was fine.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Comments: It's an excellent mouse as far as the duties of moving around and clicking go. The high sensitivity make it an extremely capable comodity in a gaming environment. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with it.

However, that isn't to say it doesn't have its drawbacks. The little extra side buttons could use a lot more freedom of customization. The back and the forward buttons are a little awkward but work well, but my gripe is with the middle button. It opens a little menu that only allows for the launching and customization of Microsoft Office programs. Needless to say its use is extremely limited.

Basically: It's an excellent mouse that performs the duty intended of mice very well. However, Optorite should keep their focus on that which they are strong at; Optical drives. (I love my optorite DVD+/-RW DL drive. =D)

2 out of 5 eggsnot a gaming mouse

Comments: my intent was to get a cheap gaming mouse and that's what i got, something cheap. yes i can bind the extra buttons on the mouse to do my bidding in my game but it only likes to do it once in a while. not good. other then that, its a good mouse for normal use.

Comments: What a good product!

Amazing accuracy and smooth movement. No jittering at all. Only complaint is that the forward button is a little bit inaccessible.

2 out of 5 eggsThere's only one brand to trust...

Comments: ...for Laser Mice: Logitech.

I've used this mouse; it works, yes, but the difference between it and a Logitech MX1000 cordless laser mouse is the difference between night and day. The MX1000 is smooth where the Optorite is jerky; the MX1000 is easily configurable where the Optorite is a pain to configure with clunky drivers and software.

In short, avoid this product; buy the Logitech if you need a laser mouse.

Comments: Only have to say one thing. I have a $xx optic mouse and then i bought this $xx lazer mouse use them both on the same mouse pad but the optic does not skip and and the lazer does. I thought it had to be defected they re-sent me the lazer mouse and it does the same. I just could not and would not recommend Optorite

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Comments: This thing worked straight out of the box, I wish there was a little more customizing options with the included drivers & software, but overall it's a great mouse. I'm happy to be upgrading to laser technology.
