3 out of 5 eggsok for the price

Pros: It works out of the box with no special driver requirements.

Cons: The construction and design is of poor quality. Particularly annoying is the lack of proper debouncing on the buttons, which frequently causes a single click to register as a double click instead.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works fine

Pros: I bought this Mouse just for working on customer's PC's at my work bench. I bought it because it was cheap. It does the job and is actually pretty sensitive.

Cons: Is pretty small and feels very cheap. I'm afraid if I dropped it it would smash to pieces.

Other Thoughts: For the price it is fine. I would not recommend it for gaming unless you spent all of your money to make a hotrod PC and now don't have money for a mouse. If thats the case buy it for now because it does ok.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT DEAL!!!

Pros: cheap and great... bought two cause i got 4 kids that like to destroy everything they touch... just plugged in the second one a week ago... they are honestly that good... solid clicks... good scroll... cheap cheap cheap!!!!!!

Cons: minor stuff... the cord i guess could be a touch longer but everyone has a few usb ports in the front of their puters anyway... every once and a while the pointer will take off slowly across the screen by itself... though i think that is more cause i dont use a mouse pad... :p

Other Thoughts: this is a great deal... i hope newegg never gets rid of these... i would buy more/again if i had too... people look no further... BUY THIS MOUSE!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse.

Pros: Using this mouse for four of my computers. Very responsive.

Cons: Sometimes one of mine drifts to the top left of the screen when left alone, prevents the screensaver from coming on every once in a while.

Other Thoughts: It's my new favorite.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bargain!

Pros: Great value for the price! Plug and play worked great with XP SP2. No issues. Accurate, scroll wheel works well, and smooth movement on most surfaces.

Cons: I can see why other reviewers said it was a little light-weight/cheap feeling.

Other Thoughts: Extremely happy with my purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: This is a great mouse. I wasn't expecting much for a $5.00 mouse, but it is handy for left/right handers and is very smooth.

Cons: none, yet. We'll have to see how these do under heavy use.

Other Thoughts: I got 6 for a lab of genealogical research computers

3 out of 5 eggsWorks but...

Pros: It is extremely cheap.

The mouse is functional and unremarkable.

Cons: It is extremely cheap.

The optics are sensitive to the texture of a surface and somewhat to color. Rough surfaces, such as my two cloth covered mousepads and somewhat my wood desktop, cause inconsistent tracking.
Red also cause inconsistent tracking.

I suspect the optics are not tuned or adjust correctly because it requires a perfectly flat surface to operate consistently.

The LED underneath tends to blink bright and less bright when set down, although not always. This can be bothersome but is hardly noticeable unless the room is very dark.

Similarly, the LED will flash brighter if something is moving ~3.5 cm from the optics underneath. However, tracking will not occur unless something is ~0.2 cm or less from the optics underneath.

Other Thoughts: The cord is just over 5 feet long. Most desktop users will be satisfied, laptop users will likely think it too long.

It seems to offer a little more resistance to sliding compared to the Microsoft mouse which it replaced. I do not find it to be unpleasant.

I found the mouse to be a little too long, not quite as wide, nor as tall as I would like. Those with long fingers and narrow hands will probably find it to their liking, though.
For reference: From the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger is ~19 cm, the width of my hand including the thumb is ~10 cm. My index middle and ring finger are 8, 9, and 8 cm respectively.

Most people should be perfectly happy with this mouse.
Yet, if I were to do it again I do not think I would choose this mouse. I tend to game, making the "relatively coarse" 400 dpi spec and sensitivity to surface composition draw backs.
