Worth every penny
- Pros: True 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
Excellent sound quality, best in a set of headphones so far.
Extremely comfortable even when worn for extended periods.
Very unique design.
Extra long chord doesn't tether you to the computer.
Toslink digital input works perfect with my motherboard. Very decent bass response for headphones.
Removable microphone.
Microphone volume/mute controls included on the in-line volume adjust.
Lightweight for a headset with so much in it.
They fit around my huge head with no problem.
Fairly simple plug and play with windows vista, but the cords may be a bit of a hassle for some.
I only used these for a week, but I used them for hours at a time playing Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, and watching DVD's. I have to say, that I am very impressed.
- Cons: The mic doesn't adjust very much.
In-line volume adjust gets fairly warm sometimes, bit unnerving.
Xbox 360 mic adapter has a LOT of static in the speakers when attached for some reason.
Removable mic feels flimsy and fragile
Seperate adjustments for game audio and voice with the Xbox it a bit annoying.

- Other Thoughts: I purchased the Tritton AXPro gaming headphones to give myself a better experience when playing FPS shooters on my PC, and my Xbox 360. I currently have fairly low end, cheap Phillips stereo speakers w/ subwoofer as computer speakers, and I have my Xbox connected to my computer monitor. The speakers were not cutting it in terms of sound quality.
I recently moved, and I used to have surround sound, but I live in a small dorm room now. So having large speakers would be a bit impractical.
These headphones are a great idea for people who love to have the upper hand in games by using 5.1 surround sound, yet they don't have the room, or privacy to use theater surround sound speakers.
If you are a gamer on the market for a nice set of gaming headphones, look no further.
A Gaming must-have
- Pros: High quality components: These headphones dont feel flimsy at ALL. Very solid construction as well as great R&D make these headphones feel like a tank in your hands, and feel like a cloud on your head. A few people have mentioned that they're heavy, and yes, they are. But the padding on the ears as well as on the strap make that weight unnoticable.
The raw sound quality when listening to music is great. Played a few different lossless files, and I was thoroughly impressed. I've gotten too used to only getting this kind of sound quality out of my $5000 JL Audio stereo on my car.
The surround sound is beautiful. Watching the first 10 minutes of Mission Impossible 2 with these headphones, I felt like i was in the movie.
Havn't had the chance to play any of my games yet, but I'm fully confident these headphones will do beautifully.
- Cons: So many colors...The ear pieces glow orange, the in-line controller glows different colors depending on what volume you have each chan. set to, and the controller box glows blue.
- Other Thoughts: A few people complained about "too many wires". There's one wire leading from the headset to the control box, and 4 wires leading out of the control box. two power wires, one optical wire, and one USB wire for the mic. Hide the box behind, under, around, or wherever on your desk, and those wires are a non-issue. The lead wire from the headset to the control box is LONG, making hiding the box easy.
Make sure you have a sound card that can support optical! If you use the 5.1 surround jacks, the quality of sound WILL be limited by your sound card, and a nice pair of headphones like this should NOT be wasted on a terrible source.

Decent headset
- Pros: Great sound
Thick cord
- Cons: Microphone broke after 3 months
- Other Thoughts: I bought this headset as a replacement for my Sennheiser. The Tritton was a little complex to hook up. The sound is definitely great. I only used the microphone about once or twice a week for teamspeak, and it just stopped working all of a suddent. Tritton tech support has been pretty good and says that they will send me a free replacement mic. I don't know if this will fix the problem or not, but overall I wouldn't recommend a product that breaks in so short a time.
- Pros: Best headset i ever purchased, evrything works flawlessly. Amazing sound quality, its like placing my 5.1 speakers to my head. The versatility of the headset allows for me to all i want with one headset.
- Cons: The excess of cords is kind of annoying. Two power supplies tends to cause problems with the availability of plugs, but a power strip tends to fix that.
- Other Thoughts: Great headset, definitely a must buy for gamers.
- Pros: True 5.1 sound, fits well....
- Cons: 2 ac plugs, cables are way to long, after using these for about a year the head band broke on both ends "not cracked but came apart", right earpiece stopped making sound unless the cord was moved in a way same for the bass. DO NOT BUY if you intend to use for more than a year!
- Other Thoughts: make the headset more durable sturdy and 1 ac plug!
