1 out of 5 eggsJunk Product, Junk Support

Pros: Worth the money for a short time.

Cons: Everything. I started getting shorts in the wires. I opened the left ear phone to find wires broken or detached from the speakers. It's not like one can reattach them either. Both phones have different color wires. The wires are so small and fragile it isn't funny. Customer support, what customer support. lol There isn't any at all. Anyone want a $100 paper weight?Don't waste you money on Tritton products. There are others with better rating all around.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor built quality

Pros: - Great surround sound ( probably best I've had to use so far compared to sennheiser pc350, megalodon and TurtleBeach x11 )
- Good looking

Cons: - Built quality is HORRIBLE, cheap plastic and extremely cheap wires
- The wires ( like every other headset ) are twisting on each other but in this case it makes the wires in the headset to actually break. On my second pair I finally opened the headset and there are about 10-12 tiny wires glued to a 1 inch sound board, who ever designed that is a moron. Both headset did that, and there is no way you can make the wires do that.
- Pretty heavy ( doesn't bother me )

Other Thoughts: - I first bought these when they were released ( the AX Pro version ) which was about 180 USD, they lowered their price by 50% ( I don't even wonder why )
- I returned my first two headsets to the company, the customer support responded fast but the first two to respond me were totally stupid and probably didn't know their product at all. At least I didn't have to pay for them to ship it to me ( I think they should pay for both ways shipping tho. ) By the time my second pair break the warranty was over and they don't even offer repair service, probably because they can't deal

1 out of 5 eggsAnother left cup issue

Pros: Sounded great while it worked. Tritton was quick to replace my broken microphone (for free).

Cons: I've had two of these, thinking the first one was a fluke. There are two major problems:

First: The sound in the left ear WILL go out. There is NO AVOIDING IT. Just look at all the other reviews.

Second: The microphone is EXTREMELY poorly designed. It WILL break. There is NO AVOIDING IT.

Something minor: the software is a huge pain to install on windows vista / 7.

Other Thoughts: Would give it 0 eggs if I could.

1 out of 5 eggsJUNK!!!!

Pros: The sound quality is good while the headset works.

Cons: The left ear cup chacks then stops working altogether. There is a definite wiring problem with this headset. It tooks months of emails back and forth with tritton to get them to replace the unit. The second unit broke weeks later. I tried to replace that unit but they told me my warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do for me.

Other Thoughts: Avoid Titton, Saitek, and Madcatz they are different branches of the same company. I have had products from all three of these branches and all the products have failed miserably!!!

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed.

Pros: They were very loud, had good surround sound, and were enjoyable to wear while they lasted...

Cons: 1. When ever the bass was turned up past 4, a loud static would fill that channel.
2. Mic died about 6 months after buying these.
3. Left cup died today, had them since Christmas 09

Other Thoughts: I returned the first pair due to the static in the bass was so bad that I couldn't even turn it up past 2, second pair had the same problem only not as bad. When the left cup finally stopped working today I felt extremely disappointed, was expecting these to last at least a year. Will not buy from Tritton again until they learn to make a decent headset.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Amazing, Accurate Sound... Using the software provided you can use 2,4,6, or 8 speaker input and have it auto-transpose that to 7.1 in the headset, and it does a great job *(note 1)

Extremely comfortable design, can be worn for hours without bothering the head/ears.

Very Clear Microphone.

Cons: *note 1: The rear speakers (in the control panel) require some playing around with to get them to sound like your not 50 feet from the speakers :P

The headset is not sealed (e.g. sound can be heard from outside and outside listeners can hear some sound from them)

While not necessarily a con, The microphone is extremely sensitive and tends to pick up the sound coming from headset itself, though this doesn't seem to cause feedback.

The microphone is detachable... which is good, because It folds OUT not UP... which is pretty awkward.

Other Thoughts: Using them with Windows 7 x64 Pro. On my HP tx2 Tablet with no power issues and no driver issues.

The volume needs to checked each time you put them on, as the volume control is easy to change. I find 6 is a good level on all speakers as it's loud enough to hear the fine sounds but quiet enough to not distort.

-1 egg for the sensitive volume control, and microphone awkwardness.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome sound

Pros: Awesome true 5.1 sound and they fit over the ear and are comfortable to wear. I watched AVATAR on Blu-ray with these and had no problem wearing them throughout the whole movie.

Cons: The volume control as mentioned in some posts is bulky. You have to clip it to your shirt or you will bump the lvl controls which move easy. A 3 or 6 ft extension cord between the headset and controls would be nice, then you could maybe clip the controls to your desk.

Other Thoughts: They seem big on your head at 1st but you get used to them and fall in love with them as I have.

PS, I haven't used the mic yet.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat sound, but numerous design issues

Pros: Great sound quality for the price. Mic quality is also very high.

Cons: Cord is shorter than advertised and twists all over itself. The sound control rubs against the user and changes the volume. The mic attachment piece looks fragile and is strangely designed.

4 out of 5 eggsI was a bit harsh

Pros: i gotta give it more props than i did, this headset is freaking phenominal, 4 speakers in each ear blows any virtual surround away, you know where everyone is by sound, this headset has by far been the best headset ive had, over g35 and fatal1ty hs1100, and gamcon 777. this headset is unbelievably clear and the bass is awesome great for gaming movies music everything you throw at it.

Cons: as stated before the headset is kinda fragile at the wire for the left ear as long as you find a clip to relieve some of the weight from the volume control these should last, customer service could definatly use some work but what customer service couldnt right?

Other Thoughts: i will wait for warranty instead of buying another headset, this headset gets 4 stars because even with the ear going out and bad customer service this headset blows me away
