2 out of 5 eggsA Little over priced

Pros: Very Good Sound
Very Good Mic
Comfortable

Cons: After about a month or two the wiring on the volume control started to short out and had to adjust the wire to get it to work.

Other Thoughts: I would have expected a lot more from this mic for the price I paid and cheaply made wiring and plastic.

3 out of 5 eggsHow To Turn Off

Pros: Sounds good when it works(see con)

Cons: My center channel no longer works and the left side ear cup has broken off and is being held in place with tape.

Other Thoughts: To turn off the headset you need to simultaneously push the volume in and push on the front speaker key for a few seconds.

1 out of 5 eggsmore of the same. Fail

Pros: Great sound when working

Cons: Less than one month of use, not even daily use and the cord coming out of the amp is starting to short out. I was very very careful with this heaset after reading all of the reviews on how easy they break. Even so my also is starting to fail. I am not a kid nor have any kids used this. with that being said you may want to look some place else.

Other Thoughts: Knowing they would likely fail I did purchase the third party warranty. I just hope that is not a pain in the

2 out of 5 eggsno comparison to speedlink...

Pros: - heavy duty quality
- lots of options
- comfortable

Cons: - too many cables
- sound is just awful
- lights are distracting
- microphone is really not connected in the best way for the price range of this headset.

Other Thoughts: - if the headset was priced lower, i could almost justify buying one, but for the 90+ dollar range, its just not all that.
- tested it vs a speedlink medusa pro gamer headset, and this one has nothing like the sound quality of a pro gamer at all... sure its not the worst ive heard, but its by far not on par with other headsets in this range. the external power adapter is a pain in the back, a usb alternative would be nice to come in the box.

5 out of 5 eggsI recommend this headset

Pros: 1.Sturdy. Well constructed. Not cheap feeling or cheap performing.
2.Sound is great. Surround sound is well done on this headset.
3.Mic seems to work fine according to other on Ventrilo.
4.Well wrapped, sturdy cord. Also, very long! Plenty of breathing room.
5.Comfortable headset overall.

Cons: The in-line volume controller gets warm. Borderline hot. No biggie. The cord also easily spirals and bunches up.

Other Thoughts: I play Black Ops mostly. I've been accused of hacking and cheating a couple times because I know where people are. The single most underrated PC gaming accessory is the headset. I'm not cheating. I can just HEAR you behind me. This headset help me tremendously. Well recommended. I had the Logitech G35. Returned those to try these, saved money in the meantime, and was so happy I took a chance on these. Cant say enough about these.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy with purchase.

Pros: Awesome sound, plenty of bass for me, not muddy. Clear crisp sounds, and true clear surround sound. In BlackOps I can hear exactly where enemies are and never look at the map. Hours on Vent or Axon (look it up) is fine. Comfortable for prolonged use.

Cons: The dongle/controller is in-line and is pretty beefy. If the clip breaks (or you snap it being stupid like I did) then it becomes a hassle trying to get it to sit somewhere comfortable.

Other Thoughts: I don't get the breakage other people are talking about. Maybe my plastic is from a better batch, but my set is a tank. Ear-pads are interchangeable and don't fall off, and the mic is awesome. I'm not extra gentle with my gear either. Can't beat the 3.5 mini jacks, don't know why you'd buy a usb version when most boards come with 7.1 these days.

2 out of 5 eggsCheaply made, bad customer service

Pros: Sound is alright, could be better at highs and lows. Comfortable for long playing times. Detachable mic.

Cons: 2 months after I received these, the mic suddenly had all sorts of static. There was no way of fixing this at all other than to turn off mic boost and try to turn up mix other ways, fuzz and static was still there, but just less loud. Needless to say my friends on ventrillo hate me.
Shortly after that the connection that attached the earphones to the top head piece started to break on one side. This was just from normal wear and tare. I am not violent with my gaming gear.
Then sometime after that, yesterday to be exact, it is April 2011 and i have owned these since Sept 2010 so about 7 months. I picked up the headphones by the other side (the side thats not ducktaped) and the weight itself, of the ear piece on the other side cause this side to break now as well.
The plastic is just cheep and not made to last, I was very upset with this by how much i payed for them.
Going to trittons website proved to be of no help at all, as their so called "live support" is ALWAYS OFFLINE.

Other Thoughts: I went to the customer support site for tritton at 4am, 12pm, 5pm, 10pm you name it. I did this for a week straight (work days of course) and never once was i able to get ahold of them or talk to anybody.
I filed a request on their website for "after hours" claims and they never responded.

New Egg i love you, you rock, delivery was prompt and on time. Easy as always. Tritton, you stink worse then rotten cheese. I will never buy from you again.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so awesome

Pros: They sound awesome
They look awesome
The feel awesome (very comfortable, can wear for many hours at a time)
The mic quality from what I was told was top notch
They light up :D
Very nice price point ($92.00 for me)
5.1 works very well in all games that I've tried so far (had to tweak a little to get working 100% see cons)
These can get very loud, mids and highs are as impressive as the bass, I love it.

Cons: The headphones need an the AC adapter plugged in to function
This isn't really a con but to get the 5.1 working 100% I had to set both my soundcard and windows audio settings to 5.1 instead of headphone, wasn't hard to do, but is more to do then with other headsets.
Make sure you unplug the headset from the AC adapter so as to not run up your electric bill, since there is no On/Off switch.

Other Thoughts: I love them so far, and am constantly impressed with what I throw at them. Buy them now, you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: I have been using this headset for well over a year now and it has worked very good. It has outlasted many other previous headsets that i have owned. If you get them adjusted right and have a good sound card you can hear where everyone is on the battlefield. I get accused of hacking on a daily basis because of these. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time

Cons: The mic swivel point is easy to break. Mine is broke but it has not effected anything yet and the mic stays in place. There is a loose screw or something inside my right ear cup. if i move my head fast i can hear it rattle around. They dont breath that well and i get sweaty ears after long sessions of gaming. weight could be lighter in my opinion. The volume control could be easier to use.

Other Thoughts: I have owned turtle beach and razor headsets in the past. The dog ate the turtle beach set and the razor's broke, one of the ear cups just snapped off one day. i am fairly hard on all my equipment and the fact that these still work, and work rather well, is a testament to the build quaility.

5 out of 5 eggsSounds Great with NO UNPLUGGING

Pros: -Great Sound Quality
-Fairly accurate surround for a pair of headphones
-Bought on Sale not on newegg
-Currently have my xbox sound running to my PC and out to the headphones which sounds GREAT when playing COD. (I know, why didn't I buy the PC version? well 95% of my friends play on xbox LIVE so thats why).

Cons: -The cord might be too long. Even when I tie it up with the hand little velcro thingy it still occasionally gets caught up on stuff when i move around, but thats kinda expected with a wired set of headphones
-Also, I recommend springing for a sound card like the Fatal1ty. With the onboard audio (Asus P6T mobo), I did get a little static feedback through the headphones. Once I got a Fatal1ty on Black Friday for 50$, no more static/feedback problem and sound quality and accuracy increased 10 fold.

Other Thoughts: To all of the people on here with problems with the wiring...I've had these for 9 months now(bought last summer) and I have had no problems with the wiring. I don't use the mic that often tbh. I do NOT plug and unlpug the darn headphones. If there isn't an on/off switch, then I am assuming that they are gonna be fine left plugged in with no sound coming through them. It seems to me that half these "wiring problems" come from plugging and unplugging the things which is just not smart imo. Even if ur a high-level techie you have ruined ur fair share of S-Video or even DVI cords because of the prongs, so why would u think that this is any different? Anyway, I have nothing but good things to say about these headphones. Good build quality + extremely comfortable + accurate surround sound = win.
