4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: I've had this headset for probably almost 2 years now and they've given me little problem. The padding on top of the head ban is very comfortable and the padding around the ears is nice too. The quality of the sound is very nice considering the price you pay for this headset. Volume control is flare at and having the connections to use your headset on the 3 main platforms is great. And it's wired so you don't have to worry about charging/battery swapping. These usually stay on the floor and have gotten dropped and stepped on several times and haven't broken. Durability was definitely not an issue.

Cons: My connector that plugs into the Xbox controller has gone crazy within the past few months, but the same thing has happened to all of
My other wired headsets before this one. The padding is pleather so it does get sweaty after a while.

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood Headset

Pros: So this has some pluses to it. It's cross platform friendly and comes with all the connectors you could want for PC PS3 and XBox 360. The cord is about 10ft long which is great if you play games in a big room or if you have to get up for some reason you don't have to worry a whole lot about breaking the cord.

The microphone is detachable and the sound quality from it is quite crisp. Also on the volume control is the voice volume which is a great plus too! There is also a microphone mute switch which is great when I need to definitely silence the microhpone if it's connected.

I use it for PC gaming and watching movies late at night and I'm not disappointed. The overall audio quality is great when it's coupled with with a good sound card on the PC. Using the Tritton sound driver isn't as crisp. The bass is pretty decent and if you like to drown out outside noise while playing then this headset is definitely for you.

Cons: It's not without faults however. The thinner wires with the plugs (USB and 3mm audio) is thinner than the rest of the cord so if you pull hard on the wires or if for some reason you trip over the 10ft cord, its easy to damage that thinner wire.

Another problem I've had is that the volume control is very sensitive so moving the box piece around can cause the volume to unexpectedly drop or get really loud if you brush it in the wrong way. The same goes for the microphone volume but that's not as bad since I don't use the mic as much.

The only other problem I've had is that if you have had the volume control problem, the sound quality can get a little distorted, and it's especially noticeable by lower quality sounds/music.

Other Thoughts: Summary:
Good Bass
Good Microhphone Quality
Good sound quality (PC w/ decent sound card)
10ft Cord
PC/Xbox/PS3 Compatible

Loose volume controls
Distortion of poor quality audio

Other notes : I got mine from best buy, and I got the two year warranty on it so if it does break for some reason I can get it replaced. I did pay $100 for it but I think it's worth the price for what you get, since most other headsets aren't cross platform friendly.

2 out of 5 eggsThey broke on my head.

Pros: The voice and volume controller was rather nice. The fact that the mic could detach was a nice touch. The Adapter for the audio if hdmi is used is a great feature to. The design for the ear coverage was almost a really good idea conforming to the head rather nicely. Being able to have the ability to either hear or not hear your surroundings was also a nice feature, though it made the mic a bit to sensitive when turned on. The pivoting og the headphones was a useful feature.

Cons: After about 1.5 hours my ears started to hurt due to there being lack of padding on the inside of the headphone. The bass was a bit over powering at times. the headset does not breath very well and it gets hot around the ears. The headset is a little on the heavy side. When the head set was plugged in to anything other that the 360 there was a rather annoying noise. The cord to the head set was rather heavy and amazingly to short and the length from the head set to the controller could have been about 6 or so inches longer. And last but not least like i said the pivoting action was really nice but it apparently makes the band weaker around that area and the band cracked as i was wearing them.

Other Thoughts: Tritton needs a better customer service phone wise and online wise.

4 out of 5 eggsThe True Review

Pros: Well First off the snug fit around one's ear is Amazing, and The sound quality is at an ultimate high. The long cord is always a nice future, but the wiring inside is a higher quality so it won't break...(which cause's one or both of your speaks to go off). The detachable mic is a wonderful idea as well.

Cons: Like said in most reviews, the Plastic material binding the speakers to the main part of the headset is a very cheap material. If your constantly bending it slightly everytime you put them on, It will break, I went through one set already after a year. What I did when i received my second set was Adjust it the headset to my prefered settings, then wrap it with medical tape, then place a little super glue on the tape, then Wrap it once more with tape, You still get the comfort, but a VERY long durabilty.

3 out of 5 eggsLasted 2 years

Pros: Pretty good sound
Enough bass to make a difference
comfortable (until they break)

Cons: Extremely Fragile.
I bought this headset in November of 2010 and have used them up until now. They are great except for the fact that the plastic above each ear piece is extremely cheap. 2 weeks after i bought this pair they broke on one side. 1 month afterwards the other side broke. I treat my Electronic equipment as gently as i can, and yet the small amount of stress my head put on these were enough to crack the plastic.

They've been held together by duct tape for the past year.

Other Thoughts: They have decent sound quality for the price, but have a roll of duct tape on hand for when they break.

2 out of 5 eggsax180

Pros: Pretty good mic

Cons: Worst headset i have ever bought. When i first got it i thought it was nice but about 2 months later one of the plastic pieces that connects the head band to the speakers broke then about a few days later the other one broke. Had a warranty on it so got a new one. 1 month later same thing happens. Very disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it

2 out of 5 eggsCheaper price gets you a cheaper product

Pros: -Relatively cheap price
-Good cosmetic design
-Nice padding
-Good immersive sound quality

Cons: I've owned these for about 14 months, and about a week after the factory warranty anded the right speaker would cut out occasionally then a month later the right speaker broke off at the cheap plastic connector to the rest of the headphone.

Other Thoughts: I found out that tritton is a division of madcatz after i bought these headphones; I've never trusted madcatz because of its short lived products and knowing that these headphones were made by madcatz I would not have purchased these.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good buy

Pros: This headset is made by mad cat and actually dose not suck. It has a fair price, looks cool, decent sound quality, long cord, usb and audio jacks, compatible with consoles, and are very comfortable. Going on 4 months and i still don't regret it.

Cons: This headset will make your ears hot after 3 to 4 hours of game play, which u can fix by taking them off for a couple of seconds.

Other Thoughts: Setting it up for the PS3 was real easy and im pretty sure it is the same on the xbox

2 out of 5 eggsCheap Plastic, good sound.

Pros: Great sound. Microphone picks up even the slightest murmur. Comfortable. Quick disconnect on control box saved my cord multiple times. Functionality to combine audio inputs and raise/lower sound as needed. ear cups swivel for easy storage and comfort.

Cons: Cheap Plastic broke shortly after a year's ownership.

Other Thoughts: One big flaw in the design of this microphone is the plastic around the swivel for the ear cups. The plastic is a strong, but inflexible type, which means that if it's stressed, it breaks. It broke while I was taking the headphones off. $70 straight down the drain after only a year's usage. For the price, this is inexcusable, especially considering how many other users are reporting the problem.
