5 out of 5 eggsGreat stick

Pros: Comfortable feel. Easy access to buttons. Built in Throttle.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this stick for the past 10 years. Works great without any complaints. My friends that I fly with online all talk about using Saitek and other sticks, but they are always updating their sticks and building stick files for their different flight sims. I've never had to do that. This stick has worked great with just about all flight sim games. The few exceptions were games like Battlefield 3 where it's not just a flight sim. Most of the time you can just program the buttons to your preferance in the game. If you need to great a joystick file, there is a control manager program you can dowload from CH Products to do that. Before I started using the 586 USB Combatstick, I was using the one just prior to that that plugged into the controller port in the back of older model computers. Stands the test of time and is a must for any flight combat simmer.

5 out of 5 eggsGonna be the second stick

Pros: I've owned a CH stick for the past 6 years. This is a replacement stick. I play Aces High, under the handle Floatsup. I' havent recieved my new stick yet, but CH is a great company as far as dealing with. quality in the product. I abuse my sticks in fights, if u fly, I would recommend this product.

Cons: none, lasted years. with 5 hours aday of abuse.

Other Thoughts: You can get CH to replace potentiameters that might fail. Hopefully their still using quality products.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks great and feels very solid, button layout works well for my gorilla hands.

Cons: Y axis is extremely tight. The X axis moves freely, but the Y axis appears to be binding on the body and does not move freely. If I push the stick as far forward as it will go and let go, it will take 5 seconds to slowly creep back to the center of the axis. Detection is spotty at best when pulling the stick back slowly, and 9 times out of 10 the first 1/3rd of the pull will be a giant dead zone (although this direction isn't nearly as stiff). It's almost impossible to make small altitude adjustments in IL-2 because of this. The X axis trim is also very tight in the body and will not move as freely as the throttle and Y axis trim.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed with this stick. I had another CH products stick years ago and loved it and payed extra for this one so I could get something quality that would last me a year or two but it's barely usable out of box. I'll be calling Newegg tomorrow to RMA it, hopefully this one is just a lemon.

5 out of 5 eggsFeels good, works Great

Pros: It looks awesome just sitting on your desk. It feels good even before you load up your games and sims. It is solid, it is highly customizable, It gets the job done and you know from day one it will last for years.

Cons: I have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Sometimes I wish it had lights, but I don't look at it when I'm flying, it has enough buttons that the hardest part of configuration is making good choices on how to use them.

4 out of 5 eggsNow this is flying

Pros: No dead zone. Accurate. Precise. Feels great in my oversized hand. Fingers line up perfectly with button placement. Most games have preset control profiles that work great with it. Two year warranty.

Cons: Hat switches and trigger are a bit "stiff." Trigger doesn't compress and is essentially just a button.

Other Thoughts: Playing X3 has never felt more like being in a real spaceship with my hands at the controls than it does with this joystick. ^_^

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolute top of the line

Pros: I've owned this one for ~5 years and it's the best joystick that I've ever used (even beats the old Thrustmaster HOTAS setup...). It's high presion and very durable. I've owner CH Products joysticks going back 20 years or so and they are simply the best quality sticks made, period. One think that many overlook when they see the relatively high price is the fact that these sticks are easily repairable. Every part is replaceable and available through CH Products. The trigger button on my old CH Products flightstick pro (a 15 yr old serial model) finally died about a year ago and I was able to get a direct replacement switch for just a couple of bucks.

Cons: High initial price, but well worth it over the long run.

3 out of 5 eggsBig and bulky

Pros: lots of buttons

Cons: huge

Other Thoughts: feels like this is more of an arcade simulator. the thing has a big base that does not weigh it down, just empty plastic-topheavy. used for a few hours, sent back for refund. it feels so oversized i couldn't deal with it. i have big hands, still couldn't get a good grip on it or find a comfy position. stick to logitekk

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Stick

Pros: USB standard joystick.

Cons: None really. Though I suspect that their F-16 is a slightly more versitile version of the unit.
