Works as described
- Pros: This device was successful at reducing pain in my hand due to RSI.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Fine motor control is not as good relative to a standard mouse because you're using your arm instead of your wrist to move the device.
L=Large, S=Small
- Pros: Seems to work as advertised
- Cons: The description on NewEgg didn't explain that there is a difference between the two models listed. I should have figured it out, but must have been having a dim day.
The "L" Model is large, for people with hands 3.5-4" across he nuckles. The "S" model is recommend for 2.57-3.5" hands. I mistakenly ordered the "S" for my 4" hands. :(
- Other Thoughts: Double check your hand size before ordering!
It's ok, but
- Pros: Top 'rocker' button is quite nice. Comfortable hold.
- Cons: No driver, which is great for simplicity, but you can't calibrate this thing. If I used it for a year perhaps I'd retrain myself, but next to a standard keyboard you either have to hold your elbow up to mouse straight, or mouse off to the right a bit.
Using arm to move instead of wrist kills granularity. I spent way too much time trying to get the pointer right where I wanted it because I don't have the granular control over my arm that I do over my hand. Obviously, it won't fit on a keyboard drawer.
- Other Thoughts: This thing could be great with a few changes.
1) driver. let it run simple w/o a driver, but give us a driver if we want to recalibrate the motion. 2) It wouldn't be easy to mfgr, but how about the stick tilt being a little adjustable. 3) make the rest pad more grippy, then make the stick movable w/ switches, so you mouse with the hand but the stick does more stuff. 4) bigger slide pads.
It is a bit spendy for what you get. It would be worth it if it had some more depth as I've described. I went back to a mouse after using it for a month.
