5 out of 5 eggsFPS Game Pad

Pros: Great Concept as a mini USB Keyboard with large Movement Keys designed for most any First Person Shooter style games. I use this to control my tank in WOT, World Of Tanks, and it is a GEM. Trying to move forward, backwards, side to side when someone is shooting at you use to take all the fun out of the game until I found this device. Now I move along easily. WOT allows you to ASSIGN KEYS to do various things and this device has surely improved my stats.

Cons: The tail piece that flips up to allow for ergonomic design is a bit flimsy and does not stay up by itself so to fix this I placed 4 screws into a board that I lay across my lap so that I can force this item to stay in an arched position. Once there the unit is solid and feels secure...

Other Thoughts: I use this with a USB active Extension and the keys are very responsive despite the 16' the signal has to travel to reach my computer. Most games will allow you to assign the keys any way you want so this is a wonderful gaming solution and well worth the price...

Pros: Adequate placement of the keys, can change the ingame bindings if you need to.

Cons: The buttons are rather large and smushy as another reviewer has said. It was far too difficult for me to get the buttons to respond. The W has to be pressed just right in order to register. Some of the other keys don't often respond adequately or at all either.

Other Thoughts: I don't think that I would recommend this controller to another person.

2 out of 5 eggsEhh...

Pros: Does what it says on the tin. It's a keypad thing, and all the keys work. Useful layout for shooters and other games that use WASD. I specifically bought it for controlling the camera with keys in DotA 2, as I prefer using the keyboard to camera control with the mouse.

Has volume controls, which is nice because my headphones don't have in-line controls. Also a relatively soft sloped wrist-pad which is removable, if you pull hard enough.

Cons: The keypad is really... how do I put this... smooshy. Not mechanical of course, I would say it's like a laptop keyboard, but it's worse, it's like using a TV remote control. Very annoying when you struggle with the keys because you're not sure you pushed it.

Some of the keys are positioned weird, too, like H is to the left of WASD, X-C-B at the bottom left but it skips over V, for some reason N decided to crash the party right next to ALT. Also, the number keys are all scrunched up therem so for games that use the row of number keys, either get used to that or edit your layout a bit. In a standard FPS like TF2 you'd often be pressing 1-2-3, which is almost directly above W, but on the gamepad you'd have to nearly take your entire hand off to reach them way to the left. The key placement, coupled with the smooshy keys, pretty much negate what you'd be gaining by using the gamepad in the first place.

Other Thoughts: Stupid blue light in the middle of the pad, as well as a toggle-able light under. The crosshair light you can't toggle, and it's brighter than you'd think, you can make shadow puppets with it. Tape over it unless you need a night light.

Overall I'd say you'd be better off tossing down the dough and getting a bigger name-brand gamepad solution if you want some sorta sideboard, like a Razer Nomostro, Logitech G13, or full-sized steelseries Zboard or Merc Stealth. This gamepad isn't quality, and with those names. The keys are worse than a third-party Sega Genesis controller, and the whole thing seems to be designed by an edgy thirteen year old. I mean, I don't know what else to say. I feel kinda bad that I have a bit of a scathing review on it. Oh well.

3 out of 5 eggscybersnipa

Pros: Comfortable, easy to get used to, price

Cons: UNRESPONSIVE KEYS, useless LED's under the keypad. Would be far more useful if they made the keys to light. No Enter key but there is an useless volume key using space. The light on top is not disturbing since you never look at it directly so do not bother with what people say about it.

Other Thoughts: In general, I do not understand how no one pointed out that the keys are unresponsive and lack sensitivity. Not one review on Newegg except for one person who mentioned it. You need to press the keys firmly in order for them to respond. Some keys you need to make sure to hit in the middle as well. At first I thought they shipped me an used item, but after reading some other website reviews, I found out it's the product itself that is poorly made. This is just unacceptable for me or for any other FPS addict. I paid 70$ for this including the shipping, and now I have to sell it and go back to my keyboard until I find a better pad for me.

4 out of 5 eggsCyber Snipa

Pros: Found the gamepad very easy to use and very comfortable. Only took me a short while to not reach for my number pad on my keyboard. All buttons are easy to reach even for my small hands. No special drivers needed just plug in and you're ready to have fun.

Cons: Only cons I've noticed is the light on the top is very bright but if its off to the side I don't even notice it, and could use the - and + key as well as I use them in my gaming world but its not that big of a deal as I can use the keyboard for those and I just rebind those keys with less frequently used attacks.

5 out of 5 eggsMerry Christmas to me!

Pros: Large buttons
Convenient layout
Easy to transport

Cons: Haven't found any yet

Other Thoughts: Before I received this as a gift I was using the WASD keys on my laptop and straining my wrist. This controller sits nicely off to the side in a much more comfortable position. I stink and FPS so I couldn't really say if my game is any better but it is certainly more comfortable and fun with this.

5 out of 5 eggsNewegg Shipping ROCKS!!

Pros: I finally got around to ordering one of these for myself. One of my gaming buddies has had one of these for over a year now and I got to mess around with it at our last LAN party. I fell in love with it right away. It is very well setup for efficient gaming without any bells and whistles which I really like. I definitely noticed my scored go up because I was no longer accidentally mashing wrong keys anymore and most importantly, not key ghosting. There is enough spacing and shape/size difference to not ever have that problem again. The LED light is also a nice feature so that you can see the keys in the dark.

pros:
-comfortable design, compact
-good key placement
-anti ghosting
-no software, plug n play
-responsive keys, not loud
-reasonable price

Cons: Some people say the LED is a little distracting. I didnt really notice that being an issue. If it ever did get annoying you could just put a sticker over it. I do prefer back lighting when possible but im sure it would hike up the price.

Other Thoughts: So I ordered this using 3 day shipping on Tuesday morning. Whether it was a mistake by Newegg or not I dont know but its scheduled for delivery today, Thursday! I checked the shipping status and it said 2 Day Air. Fine by me, I paid for 3 day and im getting it a day early!! :) It may be because I spend a ridiculous amount of money on Newegg and they were just like, "Meh, lets hooks this dude up" ?? no?,, I dont care either way. Newegg YOU ROCK AND THANK YOU FOR MESSING UP MY SHIPPING !! :)

2 out of 5 eggsGood idea but not there

Pros: Better option than keyboard.

Cons: Keys are too spaced out and I have big hands. I couldn't get used to it after hours of bf3. I switched to the rzr pad and it fits like a glove.

Other Thoughts: Light didn't bother me too much.
