2 out of 5 eggsbroken after 5 months

Pros: comfortable , they look nice
removable braided cable
removable mic
2 sets of ear cups

Cons: very very low bass
squeaky plastic construction
not very good for music , at all
somewhat heavy , slips off easily

design flaw on the headband
it will crack in the same spot on both sides over time (where the metal part is attached

Other Thoughts: i have contacted func directly after 5 months , and they sent me a shipping label to return it for a new one.
but i will probably get rid of the new set , since they will probably just crack again in the same spots .

It seems to be a common issue with these headphones

probably best to avoid unless they have a redesign

2 out of 5 eggswas an amazing headset until it broke on me

Pros: amazing sound quality with great bass but you do have to mess with the eq to get the midrange right.

Cons: sound echos into attached mic and can get very annoying in voice chat causing echo's. gun shots and explosions tend to sound muffled until you adjust the mid range. other than that no issues until the headset decided to die randomly as i was sitting still. turned out that the wire heading into the headset was worn somehow even with the sleeved cable. sound would come back if i played with the wire enough but would never stay.

Other Thoughts: yes the func hs 260 can be a good pair of headphones but at least in my opinion func has to take these back to the drawing board.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome Mic.
Conformable even after hours of use.
Cord can be plugged in on either side.
Decent audio.
Changeable ear cushions.

Cons: Box kinda smelt.

Other Thoughts: Mic was clear but had a lot of static. Got me a 30 dollar sound card and all static from the mic was gone.
Also to prevent mic picking up what you are hearing, use the leather ear cushions as they block and more sound.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is the best headset I've purchased to date. Here are my positives:
- Great sound quality
- Comfortable even if worn long periods
- Aesthetically pleasing
- Changeable ear cups/cushions
- Excellent mic quality
- detachable mic/chord
- braided chord
- lengthy cable

Cons: - While the microphone is clear, the noise cancelling on the microphone is a big disappointment. Whenever speaking to people on skype/teamspeak, if I am listening to something, people always tell me they can hear what I'm listening to...even at the lowest levels. This is the biggest gripe I have with this headset! I have headsets in the past where my sound wouldn't be picked up through the mic.

- If you're listening to anything moderately loud, the sound can be heard coming through the headphones . The sound is hardly contained in the headphones. People will hear the sounds coming from the headphone speakers if it's loud enough.

- The microphone's mute button is on the mic itself, so it can be annoying at times trying to mute the thing (very small gripe).

- Didn't come with any cool software you can use with the headset like other companies have (small gripe).

Other Thoughts: Func's customer service is absolutely amazing. I accidentally broke one of the headphones and they sent me a brand new headset without any issue. I sent them an email through their website and they responded within a day or two. I did have to send them the broken one (which was no big deal and it costed very little). This experience has made me a Func fan for life!

I also used this headset with a fairly cheap USB soundcard (Sound Blaster X-Fi Go Pro) and it made it sound even better!

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Func has gained a new fan in me!

5 out of 5 eggsA great quality gaming headset

Pros: -Awesome build quality and construction
-Long, Braided and durable cord
-Audiophile-like sound quality.
-Comfortable as hell. It takes some absolutely extreme usage for me to start felling remotely fatigued from wearing the headset

Cons: -VS. some direct competitors (Kingston HyperX Cloud among others), accessories that come with it are slightly lacking

5 out of 5 eggsSounds amazing for a gaming headset

Pros: The mic is quite better than among all the gaming headsets that i've owned. (corsair 1500, steelseries 5hv2, razer carcharias, razer kraken pro)

The sound has some good range, louder lowers and good high and mids, so it doesn't sound like "hollow"

Build like a tank

Detachable cable and mic

Comes with two cushions (leather-like for closed and cloth for open)

Cable braided and everybody was complaining that the cable inputs doesn't have the color green and pink (speaker and mic) this one, maybe is brand new but it has the color so you can attach em to the computer real quick

Cons: With the use it started to creak the headband

5 out of 5 eggsFunc HS-260, 10/10 Would buy again!

Pros: Great durability, decent Mic Quality, pretty good sound quality.

This Headset still worked perfectly fine after my Dog got ahold of it. He was able to break the top part, but it still worked just fine with the same comfortable feeling.

Cons: The only gripe I had with this headset is the volume control. It doesn't really control the volume very much, it goes from pretty quiet to quiet. But nothing some volume control on your computer will fix.

Other Thoughts: After my dog got ahold of this headset, which still worked afterwards, I contacted Func Support to see if I can get a replacement, as the headset was scratched up and everything you could expect from a dog attack.

After providing proof of purchase and everything you'd usually do for a replacement, they promptly told me "Alright we've just sent a replacement out and you should have the tracking information sent to you shortly" I was a bit confused, usually you send your old product back, and then they send you a new one. Turns out they don't want your old one, they told me "We have faith in our customers"

After receiving the Tracking Information, I expected it'd take a week before it arrives, turns out they picked the closest in-stock location near me, and they gave me FedEx priority shipping. It arrived a DAY after I asked for a replacement. I couldn't believe it.

Func is now on my list for personal top rated Tech Companies in the US.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Comfortable
Felt fine even after many many hours of straight use.

-Detachable replaceable cord
This is why I bought these after having so man other headphones have problems with cords fraying. It's a cord made with standard parts and you could hunt down a TRRS to TRRS replacement if you ever needed to rather cheaply.

Fine for gaming/watching videos (I'm no audiophile)

Cons: -Build quality

Seems robust and flexible when you first get these and will probably be fine for many months or even over a year if you do not use them heavily. However over time the wear and tear will add up.
On mine the outer most plastic gray covering has begun to dislodge from whatever glue or fastening they used to keep it in place to hide wires underneath it. In addition to this the metal piece on the left side near the cushion at the top of the band has broken off from the top most layer of the band along with an interior plastic piece of the band where these two meet. This reveals a thin piece of metal which still leaves enough rigity for these things to work, but I am counting my days left with these headphones now.
My only advice may be perhaps to have some kind of hook or stand for the headset so it hangs by the top of the band. I was always picking it up by an earcup which flexes the rest of it with the full weight and probably sped up the breaking of the plastic.

For how much these cost compared to other more budget gaming headsets I've had in the past the build quality does not compare well. While those had cable fraying problems after about a year I never had an issue of them literally falling apart.

Other Thoughts: While I absolutely love the idea of the detachable cable using something so standard, I just wish these were built better instead of a bunch of thin plastic pieces sandwiched together waiting to break over time. Hopefully their next headset will be over higher quality or hopefully more manufacturers adopt their cable idea.

Pros: good enough for gaming.

Cons: Band on outside broke, in two places, where the padding for the head starts and ends. Lasted 5 months. Still works though.
