5 out of 5 eggsRamblings of a mad man.

Pros: Amazing sound quality. Can handle an equalizer without faltering. Very clear sound. Comes with 2 sets of ear cups. One is soft and more comfortable but let's sound bleed. (can be a pro or con depending on your situation.) The other is leather and seals in, and out, sound. Meaning it gives a better kick on the lows and drowns out outside noises. Also comes with a big beefy cable that's almost too long. The modular idea is very interesting. It can detect which side the cables on and which side the mic is on. The warranty is amazing. You get a card in the instruction booklet that you use to register your product. And it makes warranty claims super easy. (see other thoughts.)

Cons: It's a very simple headset. Nothing big and flashy. (which is a pro to me). It's not surround sound or anything like that.

5 out of 5 eggsFunc hs-260

Pros: Long 3.5mm cable.
Durable build.
Fit nicely on my head.

I normally wear my headphones only half on my ears when my daughter and wife are here and these headphones don't bother me to have half on.

Good Support

Cons: I don't really see any cons to these headphones.

Other Thoughts: My dog chewed through my 3.5mm cable and I contacted Func support and they promptly sent me a replacement (I couldn't find a replacement to buy).

Would be nice if some other companies or func sold their 3.5mm cable separately as well.
Its 2 (2 pole) 3.5mm input jacks (mic and stereo) the goes into 1 (4 pole) 3.5mm jack. The only way I could find to do this other than contacting their support and getting another cable was to buy a 2 (2 pole) to (4 pole) adapter then buy a 4 pole 3.5mm wire.

2 out of 5 eggsI loved these, but they broke

Pros: Super comfortable
Really convenient being able to plug into either side
Detachable microphone (I have my own mic)
LARGE ear cups that actually covered my ears entirely
Good sound quality (I'm not an audiophile -- they sounded fine to me for gaming / music)

Cons: Broke after 5 months of use, VERY disappointing

Other Thoughts: Let me say -- these headphones were FANTASTIC! For about 5 months.

I bought these specifically because they are durable (there are multiple videos of these being twisted and abused and still working great). But after 5 months of daily use, the right earphone completely cut out.

Every pair of headphones I've had has either snapped, or the cord has shorted out. I thought this pair would last for much longer, but sadly I was wrong. Very disappointed, as I'm tired of buying new headphones EVERY YEAR.

tl;dr: excellent pair of headphones, but get the warranty!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing headset from what I've seen and heard from reviews etc.

Cons: Broken upon arrival left speaker quieter than somebody whispering.

Other Thoughts: Would of been an amazing headset but when something is broken upon arrival doesn't make me too happy.

5 out of 5 eggsthoroughly impressed

Pros: So here's what we got!

- impressive price/performance ratio
- detachable mic
- detachable audio cord
- audio cable is heavily braided
- 50mm drivers for bass heads but you have to tune them + amp
- flat frequency response across the board
- modern yet modest design
- surprisingly low weigh 2/3rds that of my g35
- impressive size of "sound stage"
- good mic fidelity
- both leather and velvet interchangeable covers of high quality

Cons: now here some stuff no one likes to hear
- not 7.1 surround sound
- flat frequency response across the board
- mic is very quiet minimum of 10db boost
- requires a headphone amp to get it to its loudest normal pc onboard will run it at about 3/5th of volume

Other Thoughts: now bet your wondering why I put "flat frequency response" on both pro/con, its a perfect starting point for tuning the perfect system for yourself! For people unsure how to properly tune anything audio related it might be a issue. I was able to make these out perform my logitech g35 in pure "bass thump" and clarity, but like i said before it requires a headphone amp to get the most out of these. Before I put it on an amp raising the bass to a "fun" level often muddied the highs as it was fighting for power at higher volume levels. 50mm drivers will do that they are pretty power hungry

also razer provides a 7.1 surround sound software solution go look it up and transform these into a 120$+ headset

TL;DR get a headphone amp, razer 7.1 surround software , play with the equalizer and then enjoy the best price/performance on the market

4 out of 5 eggsGreat comfort, worth it?

Pros: This is probably the most comfortable headset I have
ever owned. It felt like it was made exactly for my head when first putting it on, and I even wear glasses.

AWESOME bass, if your looking for a headset with ALOT of bass, this is the one.

Cons: The bass overpowers everything else. I only put this as a con for this review because I do like bass, but not as much as this headset pushes out.

I had to do some tweaking within Windows 7 audio settings to setup an equalizer that I'm comfortable with, though its not perfect.

I use headsets for a dual purpose, not just gaming. I like to listen to youtube videos in the background, and the bass just overpowered any sort of commentary.

See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I have set my tech knowledge as two because I am NOT an audiophile and don't have great knowledge when it comes to audio.

Just because I was able to find a solution that I could live with, doesn't mean its a good solution or that it is a solution everyone else could be happy with.

If your just looking for a basic headset to make the "booms" go boom, and a mic to communicate with your friends, this is the one. It is very likely if you use headsets like I do, your going to be disappointed. (See cons if your not sure what I mean.)

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: Great sound detection
Crisp audio in gaming
Good bass for this price level
Comfortable
Fits large heads

Cons: Personal Preference; Mic seems a little flimsy and too easy to rotate; not worth taking off an egg

Other Thoughts: Great so far, hope this lasts, well worth the money

1 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable

Pros: - Amazing sound quality
- Great bass
- 30mm drivers
- Extremely comfortable
- Very clear mic

I was using this headset for some gaming, livestreams, and making some videos. Worked well for that purpose. Also amazing music quality.

Cons: I had this for two days when it decided to break. I would have loved to give this headset five stars, but I've never had something this well designed completely break with such little use.

The right ear volume level dropped about 50%. After putting up with it for about an hour or so, it started giving off a rattling sound like a wire came loose and was banging against the back end of the speaker when bass played. That's really poor wiring. These things happen though..

Other Thoughts: I issued an RMA. I really loved this headset for the first two days that it actually worked. If it all goes through and I don't have any issues, I will change this review to something more fitting.
