MAC USERS
- Pros: High Sensitivty, good button placement, button profiling software works nice* (see below cons for *). Profiles cried on the mouse so it travels easily between computers.
- Cons: The mouse itself is usable on MACs, but the software IS NOT MAC COMPATIBLE so if you don't have parrallels or some virtual windows on ur mac or a pc you can use this probably isn't the mouse for you. Also, it has this bug that many things that want to be mac compatible has where when plugged in on start up it will eject whatever is in your disc drive. I thoguht it was weird at first, but after looking around online it is apparently quite common.
I also felt like the sensitivity was a little out of control sometimes. If you like really sensitive and I mean really sensitive mice this might be right for you.
- Other Thoughts: I just recently bought a RAZER DeathAdder for Mac and it is much nicer for my needs. It doesnt go as high on sensitivity but it has a smoother tracking feel and the software works on mac so it's easier to change profiles. Their is also an on the fly profile changing button. Because I use it for both video games and video editing it is nice to be able to switch quickly.
mouse
- Pros: like Dpi adjust
- Cons: Lacked right button and wheel tilt also not as programmable as i like
- Other Thoughts: rarely
- Pros: Lots of surface area on the pads in the bottom make it slide nicely. Up to 3200 cpi, customizable by increments of 1.
- Cons: The software that comes with this is horrible. Theres settings to change the CPI through the software, but they dont work. You have to do it through the bottom of the mouse. The profile specific macros that you can set to the buttons on the side will still stay on the mouse even if you set it back to the default profile. When you set the side front button to a macro, it doesnt work. The freemove also just plain doesnt work.
- Other Thoughts: If the software worked, It would be either 4 or 5 eggs. Even though the cons I listed may not be cons to you, it just makes me mad that you are under the impression that the software is going to have all this awesome stuff, but then none of it works. The mouse also feels a little too light for me, but thats just a con if you prefer heavy feeling mice.
