2 out of 5 eggsDont Bother

Pros: Looks
cord is nice
Got this mouse as a gift from wife. This mouse looks nice but thats about all it has going.

Cons: The Mouse often stops working and you have to go back and DL the software again and hope that it works next time you log in. As of right now its a fancy lit $100 mouse that is being used like a $20 laser mouse (cuz the software sucks and mouse needs to much matience for something that has this price tag) Actually I have had $20 mice that I was more satisfied with ;)

Other Thoughts: In General stay away from this product, its not worth your hard earned cash to have something from a company that obviously does not know how to make a "Class A" product!!
Gave it 2 stars because I like the look and feel but that is all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse for a tank

Pros: Easy to use interface. Gives your right hand a huge amount of control. Precise and smooth movement (while paired with my SteelSeries mousepad). Middle mouse button is easy to press in, which was an issue with my Logitech G9X mouse. Cable is wrapped in a very durable and hard-to-tangle wrap.

I play a warrior, and the easily accessible buttons (minus the pinky dual-button, but I use that for screen shots, so its a plus that that particular button is harder to press) allow me to quickly react in combat. If an add comes and wants to bully my healer, I can see the add coming, and simply use one of the buttons near the scroll wheel to intervene my healer. Quick reactions save lives, don't be left trying to mouse-click your intervene ability --- your healer is already dead and angry at you.

Cons: The mouse is rather wide at the base, which made the transition from a G9X to it slightly awkward. Only took me a day to get used to the wider feet.

Other Thoughts: I've heard the finish starts to fade after a while, but I keep my room at 60 degrees and never get "nerd-sweat", as I like to call it.

2 out of 5 eggsIt was good while it lasted

Pros: Very customizable. The buttons are very well placed. It also works with EQ2. Comfortable feel.

Cons: The mouse stopped working all of a sudden. The lights wouldn't work and the mouse wasn't responsive. I tried contacting customers service, but never got a response. The mouse would start working again after a long period of time, but the lights still wouldn't work. Then it stopped working and I couldn't get it to work again.

Also, if I went to change a profile, the program would get an error and close. No drivers fixed this or my other problem.

Don't expect that nice finish to last either. After a few weeks of using it, the paint job faded and it just looked ugly.

Other Thoughts: The mouse would have been great had it continued working and the finish stayed on. It was a little light for my taste, but not really a con. I can't even say that Steelseries has horrible customer service. I'm not even sure it has a customer service department. I mean there's an email for support, but apparently nobody checks that.

5 out of 5 eggsA must have

Pros: This mouse is amazing. I can't even fathom pvp without it now. The buttons are in very intuitive places, unlike other mice, and allow you to react quickly, especially if youre like me and have used all the key binds close to your strafe buttons already.

I have also had a great experience with Steelseries customer service. Fast response, and went out of their way to RMA product they did not have to.

Cons: Finish will start wear off after ALOT of use...but really, who cares??? Did you buy this thing to look pretty or to actually use?

Other Thoughts: I wish the keybind software for warcraft was able to assign buttons by the actual button rather than the ability it represents in warcraft.

Again there is no other mouse that can compare. Do you really want 17 buttons all jammed together right at your thumb so you can miss-click all the time? Steelseries has a great button layout, get one.

2 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: Designed for WoW, works great and the macros are nice.. WHEN IT WORKED....

Cons: When I bought this, I was aware the complains about build quality and durability, and I hoped I would get lucky... But.. just tonight, when I came home from work, this mouse died completely after about 10 months of use. WILL NOT GET ANOTHER unless they address their quality control issues. For 100 bucks, this is a rip off.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat for the first few months of ownership.

Pros: Cool looking, WoW related software for mouse programming, perfect for a WoW player like me. Nice DPS

Cons: Finish did not last. Mouse because unstable and eventually I stopped using it.

Other Thoughts: Have owned this mouse for 6 months. It was an impulse buy when I was at Best Buy one day. When I first set this up it was GREAT. It took a bit of time to get used to the feel of the mouse but after using it a while I enjoyed the overall feel of it.

Unfortunately the quality is sub standard and as others have mentioned the finish, which looks like brushed aluminum, started to wear off revealing the smooth plastic underneath. Extremely UGLY but not the worst of the issues I encountered.

Starting after about 4 months after I installed the mouse I started having problems. It would work fine for a while but at random times it would simply stop responding or respond very poorly. Move the mouse and the cursor would barley budge.

This happened more and more frequently until one night while raiding I ripped this mouse out and replaced it with my old Logitec 510. Haven’t had a single problem since switching back to my old mouse.

This Mouse is great for a while but in the long ru

3 out of 5 eggsNot compadible with Windows 7???

Pros: Very cool looking design, The light features are awesome. Customizability goes very well with wow. The other features are awsome as well.

Cons: Okay starting off upon recieving the package it was not shipped in a box. It was shipped in a giant bag with very little protection. I was NOT pleased with shipping at all. When i pay extra for better shipping I expect it! Upon plugging in and installing the mouse i realized that the lights werent changing and some of the marcro keys were not working. To my dismay checking some websites I saw that the manufacturer claims they made a windows 7 fix, however it doesn't even work. Instead you have to change the mouse program over to compadability mode for windows vista service pack 2. As soon as you do that the mouse IMMEDIATELY works. I have heard bad things about customer service with Steelseries as well from the mixed comments and reviews I have read.

Other Thoughts: Overall this mouse is GREAT! I love it, however some of the technical setbacks were a bit upsetting. When you pay 100 dollars for a mouse, you expect to get a pretty very good mouse. Once working and testing it out in game its pretty awesome. The program doesnt have to be just used for wow you can set it for other games I am thinking with a bit of Clever work you can help it along. I was very disapointed with shipping. When I recieved the "package" which was a beat up bag that look as though it went through world war 2, i was very nervous. However the contents were in good condition. Just be careful when buying this product. I was unaware that it was not compadible with windows 7. For a non technical person this could be the bane of their existance, for me it just took a bit of research on the issue and i fixed it.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: No problems with the mouse itself, functions like any good gaming mouse. It only took me less than a day to learn how to play with it, all buttons are responsive, and you won't accidentally hit all the buttons on the left side (Unless you have a HUGE thumb)

I also love the cord, I didn't even notice until I got it out of the box. It's covered in what appears to be woven nylon, but it might as well be kevlar. If you have pets that chew (Like I do) they can't make it through the cord.

You can even change the color it displays and other light settings, like pulse or solid.

As of this writing it has in-game support, another thing I love, so all keybinds can be done in-game.

Cons: The price is a bit high, and my hands are small and bony, so I can't comfortably reach the two buttons on the far right side without moving my whole hand.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Multi-button mouse. 15 buttons which is rather amazing.

Cons: The buttons are key-bound to buttons already in use, would have like to see it up to mouse 12. After 5-6 months of use the paint on the top of the mouse started to peel and fade. It looks disgusting, but it works.

Other Thoughts: Also I use to get a blue screen ever once in a while when the mmo software didn't load. Rebooting solved it up to 4 reboots at one point and time.

2 out of 5 eggsSteelseries Epic...notsomuch

Pros: Very responsive, comfortable.

Cons: The finish is completely worn after three months of play. It's wearing of on my hands and leaves a slight stain. The mouse looks pretty gross at this point. I don't know why they didn't just use a normal finish. This is a show stopper for me. Also, I could do without the lights. The four button hexagon poses issues; it is difficult to hit the appropriate button at time.

Other Thoughts: The mouse macros/assignments are slower than your keyboard. The keyboard will also be faster unless something major happens to how these interfaces are designed. Point being, it's not the mouse's fault. I just them just fine in battle and while moving.
