5 out of 5 eggsSolid!

Pros: Plug and play. Sony style controller. Back is partially "rubberized" ensuring a good grip.

Cons: #'s instead of letters on the buttons.

Other Thoughts: Surprised at the low rating for this. It's an all around solid controller. Love my mouse and keyboard but need a controller for sport games. To activate "rumble" feature you need to download a driver on the steel series site. Confirmed working on...FIFA 13, FIFA 14 and FIFA Online 3

2 out of 5 eggsNot that great

Pros: USB plug and play, and it works in my Toshiba Thrive tablet too. Now I can play my emulators on my computer.

Cons: So I try my N64 emulator, configure the controller.....the D-pad and the left stick are the same buttons. I think to myself "Duh, I should press the Mode button to turn it to analog!"
Well the Mode button just disables the D-pad.
Now you're probably thinking I'm just dumb and don't know what I'm doing.....well the right stick, guess what it controls? Buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the right side! If that isn't the 2nd worst idea ever, I don't know what would top it.
This thing has a rumble function? Could have fooled me!

Other Thoughts: I'm just going to get an Xbox 360 wired controller.....anybody who wants this controller can have mine.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: sturdy design, works

Cons: non analog l2/r2, d-pad is a little stiff, hit and miss functionality

Other Thoughts: my friend bought this for his pc. he has only tried it on one game and it didnt work but that could just be a pebcac error. he runs win7, i however have had great success with it running zsnes emulator and stunt rally on my ubuntu 13.04 laptop. it didnt work with visual boy advance though.

i will say that i wish it had abxy instead of 1234 for buttons so i can more easily look to find out what button does what when starting games.

i havent played any games that support rumble feature so i cannot comment on that nor have i played with the turbo function. the mode function does work though.

overall a much better than my saitek p2500 controller. the d-pad is 100% better and the buttons have much better feel. however i wish this controler was wider like the saitek one.

steelseries if you read this please add analog trigger buttons and abxy and this will be a great product.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Very Well

Pros: Plug and play on Windows 7 64 and 32, and Windows 8. Didn't have to download anything at all manually.
Very good price.
Responsive analog sticks.

Cons: D-pad isn't very good, honestly.
Having numbers printed on the buttons looks kind of weird. That's just me though, I don't need numbers when the game calls for X,Y,B,A, or X, O [] and ^ for Ps2. I know where they all are.

Other Thoughts: Worth the price definitely.

3 out of 5 eggsWouldn't recommend it for the hardcore gamer on a budget.

Pros: Overall does what is advertised.

Feels ok in your hands.

Cons: Support is ridiculous. [Horrible]

Can't get the darm thing to work effectively on any shooters (Free look leaves loads to be desired.)

Xpadder is nearly a must to make it work on your PC.

Other Thoughts: When they say professional gaming... WHO are the professionals? Why would they use this? it doesn't work on all PCs.

1 out of 5 eggsDrivers are useless......

Pros: Feels solid.

Cons: Driver download and setup did not work for Win7 64 Pro, even after trying compatibility Troubleshooter. Doesn't recognize the buttons for what they are. Rediculously hard to setup most games to use it effectively. Support site gets you running around to absolutely nowhere. Support for this device absolutely sucks. Will never deal with them again. Worst 20 bucks I have ever spent.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive

Pros: Easy to use, comfortable to hold, all the buttons I need.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I was surprised for the price the quality of controller I received. I have found emulators and game on both Windows 7 and Linux work extremely well. If your on a budget pick this up worth every penny.

1 out of 5 eggsPaperweight

Pros: -Cheap
-Comfortable in my hands

Cons: -Windows does not recognise controller
-Drivers don't work
-No support from Steelseries
-D-Pad is ONE BUTTON

Other Thoughts: Bought this from Gamestop with a gift card since I needed a controller for my PC, brought it home, downloaded the drivers from their website, and it didn't work. Scoured the internet for hours, trying every other solution that was suggested, most pulled from forum threads where others were experiencing the same problem, and none of those fixes worked, either. It seems that the majority of people agree that this thing is useless, other than a select few who have managed to get it to work without running into any trouble.

Summary: doesn't work at all with Windows 7.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent controller, but obnoxious D-Pad

Pros: The controller itself works fine. It's responsive and works great with emulators and PC games. Feels very sturdy and well-built.

Cons: The D-Pad can be annoying. It's too clunky. It's basically round and sort of sits on one button, so it's way to easy to accidentally go diagonal instead of straight up or down. This can be really frustrating when it means falling off a cliff.
