3 out of 5 eggsDecent mouse

Pros: Despite what everyone else is saying, you CAN use it for other MMO's. I used it for RIFT and SWTOR. All you have to do is disable in-game mode and make macros for it with the software it comes with. You can also use those macros for some shooters as well.

Cons: I've had it for 10 months and the left click stopped working on me. I'm in the process of seeing if Steelseries will replace it. If not, I'm stuck dropping another $100 on it because I just can't do Razer mice.

Other Thoughts: If the left mouse button didn't die on me, I could honestly say the mouse is amazing. It was while it worked. Too bad it didn't last a year.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Its a decent mouse for wow but thats really it

Cons: Most of the buttons don't work for other games, your better off going with a naga which is cheaper and all the buttons can be used for most games

2 out of 5 eggsdon't plan to use it for other games.

Pros: - Made for large hand
- Tons of buttons to customize for WoW
- Custom lights
- On board memory

Cons: - Very light weight for how big the mouse is
- Poor quality paint on the palm area flakes after 3 months.
- The software has limited options creating macros
- Expect frustration with macro key binds in other games

Other Thoughts: I only got this mouse because it has a ton of buttons and it was on sale at BB for $55. Don't get this for a different MMO and expect it to work correctly. Read about the game you're getting it for and possible compatibility issues. I wouldn't recommend this if you have small hands. Be ready for lights and buttons to go out after 4 months. Mine went completely dead after 5 months. Bought in August 2011 dead by 1/8/12.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: This mouse is extremely nice. I am an exclusive WoW player and even without the program they want you to download it works great. Just need to go ingame and turn on the detect WoW mouse button and your good to go. All the buttons work perfectly in there spots unlike the Naga were ALL of them are in one spot.

Cons: Little disclaimer. This mouse is rather big and it only works great for me because I have bear claws for hands. My sister has smaller hands and has no problem using it though.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap.

Pros: Pretty.

Cons: Cheap - this mouse feels cheap and flimsy, almost as bad as promotional mice companies give away as advertising.
Light - low weight might sound like a good thing, but as soon as you let go of it, the mouse tends to drift, which could be very bad in an MMO.
Poor finish - use this mouse for a few weeks, and it looks like you've been using it for many years.

Other Thoughts: This is not a gamer-quality mouse. This is not even a grandma-who-uses-the-computer-an-hour-a-month-quality mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse for any MMO

Pros: 14 Programmable buttons, very carefully placed in various locations on the mouse. All are easily accessible without having to think twice about which button you are pressing. Rather that placing every extra button near the thumb, there are buttons located on both sides and the top of the mouse. You have 5 fingers on your hand, why would you only use your thumb to mash buttons?

Fits very comfortably in my hand. I don't have big hands. This seems to be the biggest complaint and I can not explain it. I would recommend trying it out at a store somewhere if you are really unsure about it.

The software was very easy to set up and use. If you pay WoW, just check "enable in game" in the included software. Doing this doesn't require any macro assigning to the extra buttons, WoW will just recognize them as Mouse buttons 4-14. Go to your keybindings and assign them to buttons on one your action bars.

Cons: The mouse did die after less than a months use. I returned it to the store and got a replacement, no charge. If it was later than a month I would have had to send it back to steelseries. The second mouse has been running great for about 10 months now.

Other Thoughts: The largest complaint with this mouse that I see is the size. If it fits comfortable in your hand or not is entirely up to your personal preference. If you prefer a smaller mouse, steelseries is coming out with a newer, smaller mouse similar to this one. However it has a few less buttons.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Great mouse for WoW (One would hope so right?) It's button setup is fantastic and the ability to map anything through the game onto the buttons is great. The defaults are great for a first time WoW player and are a good choice if you are leveling and constantly accessing bags, maps and mounts. I remapped them to fit my addon/raid needs, but they feel so smooth. I tried the Naga and liked it but I feel like this mouse is set up so well for healing. on each part of the mouse I have my fluff heals (don't do much), on another part I have my constant heals, another has my medium (getting slightly worried) heals and on the most accessible part I have my "OH **** we are all gonna die!" heals. It really is fantastic.

Cons: I haven't found much. The software that is downloaded from SteelSeries could use some serious overhaul though. Make it better looking and more user friendly. it feels a little advanced and awkward for the average WoW user. I have heard it has issues with games other than WoW, but really if you are a serious raider, you won't care, this is THE mouse for WoW.

Other Thoughts: I have used it with my mage and it's alright for leveling, but really this is the kind of mouse you want to use at max level when you have a meaty rotation down. If you do use this for dps I recommend spellflash, quartz and scorchio to accompany this.

One final note: I have small hands, I get hassled for it all the time (7" from bottom of palm to top of middle finger) and I have seen on numerous sites that this hampers the ability to use the mouse. It feels great in my hand and all the buttons except the furthest one, are very accessible and the placement makes sense. If you raid (especially heal) GET THIS MOUSE.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: for the most part great mouse no functional issues
easy setup.

Cons: large may be uncomfortable if u have small hands. i got used to it in a month no worries here.
the bronze paint is peeling off after only 2 months.
as with all lazer mice you need a correct and clean mousepad or the coursor will walk when your not moving it.

5 out of 5 eggsSteelSeries > Naga

Pros: I originally got the Razer Naga, but quickly returned it because of it's small uncomfortable size in my very large hands. The SteelSeries mouse is incredibly comfortable and all but one of the buttons are easy to hit. Its a solid made beast, every person wanting an edge should get this

Cons: The lighting heats up pretty quick, i just turn it off. And one of the buttons, the middle one under the wheel, is a little out of your way to hit, but no where near as bad as the naga

Other Thoughts: unless you're a dainty little girl with an incredibly nimble fast thumb, this mouse is for you. If you are said girl, get the naga

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Mouse

Pros: Mouse is incredible

I have incredibly large hands, finding something that fits comfortably, where i can press all the buttons and not fat finger the wrong one 70% of the time, Is incredibly hard

I use this for my entire Rotation on my Rogue, and all of my defensive cooldowns on my tank

paired with ctrl alt and shift modifiers this mouse has more buttons than i have keybinds for

Cons: The software you have to download from steelseries' site is lacking

most of the options are not very straight forward, and i have found the mouse to operate better when you just disable the software completely

without the software running, it operates as a basic 5 button mouse, by checking the enable Steel Series Mouse button under interface options, the mouse allows all 14 buttons to be bound without the need for third party software

Other Thoughts: Well worth the 100$ i paid for it, has given me a competitive edge over my arena partners and lots of clumsy finger based mistakes have been releived
