4 out of 5 eggsReceived a good one

Pros: I wanted to make sure I gave this a better review after I got one that worked, first one DOA.

Newegg, you should allow us to edit our post. Works like a charm ATM. Hopefully this will last.

Cons: This is a discontinued product, so you will not receive a cd for the software for the mouse.

Go to their web site and you can find the software after a little effort of searching. Download it so you can configure your mouse and settings.

The advertising for this mouse makes it sound like you do not need any software.

Other Thoughts: Nice little mouse if you get one that works, if not just contact newegg directly for this product. Had to wait an additional week for the return of this product.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: *Works fine.
*Cheap (~$20)
*Wired (better response)

Cons: *Refurbished
*Wired (can get in way)

Other Thoughts: My gigabyte eco600 wireless mouse was giving me a bit of problems whenever I would play games (such as not being able to pick up connection which would result in my mouse doing nothing for a few seconds). Granted that I have had it for 4+ years it was bound to regress, so I purchased this mouse which was featured in the promotion as a cheap replacement. In comparison to my old mouse, I loved the feel of the gigabye eco600, albeit the ikari isn't too bad itself. The drivers I've downloaded from the steelseries site works fine and everything functions properly. I've heard rumors that steelseries mouses are bound to encounter a "double-click" problem, hopefully it doesnt but if I'm able to at least get 1-2+ years out of this mouse I'd be content. I can't speak for others but everything works fine for a refurbished product. Unfortunately for the reviewer previous to me it didn't apparently. It's a risk you take when buying open box / refurbished but that's why it's cheaper than retail. So far the mouse works for me and if it's able to last it was well worth the money.

1 out of 5 eggsDud

Pros: None atm.

Cons: DOA, the cursor was moving at first, but the buttons don't work, could not even click on my log-on, to log-on!

Other Thoughts: So much for trying a refurbished item. This does not even deserve an egg. Spend a few more dollars and get something else, save your self the headache.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Smooth and very comfortable with my large hands. Fits well and rests easily, with well-placed buttons for quick access.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that the MB1 and MB2 click pretty loud for a mouse, so rapid fire parts of a game can become quite noisy, and when things are quiet in the home, a single click and emanate well.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased overall, but would have liked something more quiet. Not a big deal, though.

1 out of 5 eggsGood looking product, but that's it.

Pros: - looks good
- braided cord
- not a Razer product

Cons: - breaks down quickly (double clicking problem)
- terrible, terrible support
- no warranty

Other Thoughts: I think I have purchased several Steelseries products the past few years and I always though it was a good and reliable company...

Well that's true, until you have to deal with their support when something does break down. Really horrible support.

I own a Steelseries Ikari Optical mouse, however it started to suffer from the double clicking problem (seems to be "normal" with all Steelseries mice; look it up on Google). So I contacted their so-called "support" about it and wanted it to be replaced as soon as possible.

Since I use this mouse for work and don't have a spare mouse, it's impossible to be without it for 2 or 3 weeks. Also you have to ship it to Denmark (= costs almost more than the mouse costed me!).

I already mentioned the above in my first ticket, however tickets are not read correctly and now, 48 hours later, I still don't get a response back on my support ticket(s) at all anymore!

Well I always considered Steelseries to be a top brand, however given the current state of affairs I have to change that consideration. And since I don't get a solution provided anymore, let alone a response on my support tickets, I will be forced to buy a new mouse. But it won't be a Steelseries anymore; not now, not in the (near) future. I am done with their terrible support and will switch to a more reliable brand who do stand behind their products and do actually value their customers.

Bottom line: Steelseries seem to make good products, but when it breaks down (not if) you are completely on your own, because you don't have to rely on their so-called support, because it's a waste of your time. Steelseries lost a customer today, but they don't even care. Just like they don't care about a negative review and an unhappy customer... Goodbye Steelseries....

5 out of 5 eggsAll is well

Pros: Appears to be made with quality materials, I really like the braided USB cable which doesn't grab items I often have strewn across my desk. The larger design took a little getting used to but I love the feel now.

Cons: None, it just took a little getting used to at first.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE this mouse

Pros: GREAT gaming mouse. Play SWTOR and BF3 and this baby makes gameplay so much smoother. Recommend for any gamer out there.

Cons: Could have the button to change mouse speeds a little farther back but thats no biggy.

Other Thoughts: Best mouse ive ever owned by far.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse I've Ever Used.

Pros: Large and comfortable
Great software!
Buttons are placed perfectly for me!

Cons: Nope.

Other Thoughts: You can set quick-switch profiles for games that change the sensitivity and macros for each button. Awesome. I upgraded from a Logitech MX-518 that I loved and still think is great, but this is amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Smooth glide, very comfortable, easy to reach buttons, responsive, and a clean looking design in my opinion.

Cons: The two macro buttons are borderline to close to my thumb, however I have fairly large hands and its not enough to take off a whole egg. Other than that, I have no complaints as of yet. I suppose time will tell...

Other Thoughts: I use my mouse for general leisure, at home work, and graphic design work. This mouse performs great for all these things. Overall, I am quite pleased with it thus far.
