5 out of 5 eggsSimple and Great Mouse!

Pros: -Very Precise Laser
-Easy and customizable CPI button
-Great software for customization
-3 buttons (Pro for me, I don't like gaming mice)
-Very nice braided cable
-Nice rubber pads on bottom
-Sleek look

Cons: -I feel like I have on occasion missed clicks because the clicks don't feel as solid as they might. I nearly never notice this though.

Other Thoughts: Nicest mouse I've had to this date. I've never owned any really high end and fancy mice though. Maybe I'm missing out, but this 3 button mouse is great for me!

4 out of 5 eggsDon't let the old school fool you

Pros: Braided cable
precise sensor
low profile (better for "claw grip" players)
very responsive buttons, including scroll wheel
Onboard memory for the mouse
AMAZING software for profiles
one the fly dpi switching
Fair price

Cons: No side buttons (not an issue for some)
Usb connector is not gold plated (having yet to see an issue with connectivity here though)
Somewhat uncomfortable after a while
Very light weight (take this as a pro or a con)

Other Thoughts: Having been looking for a new mouse for a little while now, I'd heard great things about steel series, and decided to give this mouse a try despite my suspicions about having an optical gaming mouse. Low and behold, all these suspicions were debunked the moment I plugged this bad boy in and started up my favorite rts. The mouse tracks quite well, and performed very well even under the most crucial moments of the match. The optical sensor was spot on, and the buttons felt fairly responsive. After a few hours of messing with this mouse though, I began to notice a few things. First off, my hand was beginning to hurt, and whether this is because of the mouse or the 4 hours of gameplay is up to you. As well, since the mouse has a glossy finish on the clickers, I would feel my fingers slipping when I sweat even just a little. Of course, if you aren't a sweaty gamer, this shouldn't apply to you, but if you are, it is slightly annoying. Certainly not enough to deter you from buying this mouse. All in all, when considering this and other 50 dollar gaming mice that I've bought in the past, it holds up. Boasting no fancy colors, lights, or buttons (I opted for the black version), this mouse is very unassuming, and may not be for every in terms of style. In terms of performance though, I must say it holds up very well. You can tell that the device is solid and well assembled, and this quality transfers to the gameplay, which also reflects how great of a mouse this is. Granted, it's certainly not for everyone, but if you are looking for a high quality, cost efficient gaming mouse on the market, look no further, especially if you prefer a claw grip style mouse.
