2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth the Money

Pros: These headphones arrived and upon opening the box I was immediately impressed. The packaging is solid and the headphones are cool. They look slick, the cord is better than most, and the all around build quality is quite good. I then proceeded to try them on and they fit like a dream. At this point I was in love with these headphones. They feel roomy and comfortable around the ears which is great for long sessions at the computer. The comfort of these are really worth highlighting. Probably my favorite thing about the "headset", however, is that I can just leave the separate microphone at home and use them as normal headphones. The microphone also seems to have decent range on picking up my voice.

Cons: However, at this point I started to become aware of some of the problems. They don't do a great job of blocking out external noise. Secondly, the cord is a bit too short for my needs, but more importantly the microphone cord is actually a little shorter than the one on the headphones, which is kind of silly. Then, when I hooked them up, I had some problems with the sound compared to my current headset. The treble was so overwhelming that in the brief time I listen to them, I couldn't tell if the quality of the headphones was just bad. The bass was also very, very low. I turned on bass boost in the device's settings and that helped, but it was even then still too low with the treble remaining overpowering. With some good equalizing these might sound quite good, but for 60$ retail price, this is unacceptable. Also because of the sound problems, despite being able to use these on the go as normal headphones, on top of the long cord, you might be better off just using a cheaper pair of on/over ear headphones. The separate microphone is also very annoying and troublesome compared to a normal BOOM mic and I honestly don't understand why anyone would want it. The microphone also seems to have a lot of static in the background, and I'm not sure why.

Other Thoughts: While I actually I quite like these headphones, my recommendation is an absolute and undeniable pass unless you get them, like I did, for 10$ after the rebate. These are 4 egg headphones, even if they were 35-45$. Despite the solid build quality, all the things important about them are lacking; the sound quality, mic quality and convenience (short cord, having to deal with headphones AND mic). The only thing that these headphones have over my 40$ Turtle Beach headset is comfort. So, even if you get these on sale (without rebate) you could look elsewhere, for the same price, and find a good/great headset without the slew of cons.

3 out of 5 eggsA little bit disappointed...

Pros: Fits comfortably, strong chord, and adjustable volume.

Honestly, they look pretty cool.

Cons: It leaks sound and doesn't block sound. I can hear everything around me while I have these headphones on, and people around me can hear what I hear (well, faintly). This is kind of a problem since I have a roommate, and I can hear his loud music through my own.

The headphones don't really sound that good. Honestly, for $60, it could be much better. The bass is pretty low, compared to other good headphones.

The mic is a little bit inconvenient. It's difficult to clip it to a place that picks up your voice well. I've also had some trouble with the mic in the past. It had so much static that people couldn't hear anything I said. This was eventually fixed, but it shows that the mic isn't top quality.

4 out of 5 eggsWonderful, but with some defects

Pros: The sound quality is great and the cord is very long. The microphone that comes with it is decent. Very comfortable.

Cons: The left earpiece stopped working after a couple months for no apparent reason. Fortunately the 2 year warranty covers it so there's no charge for getting a new one.

Other Thoughts: The headphones are of high quality for the price. I feel the mine were in themselves defective and not the entire product line. The mic also comes entirely detached from the main headset which I found to be nice.

3 out of 5 eggsCould be Better

Pros: The headset is quite light and doesn't hold too tight. Great for sensitive ears and temples like mine.

The braided cord is also lightweight and lengthy enough for most situations.

It's got a pretty decent frequency range, and the bass is reasonably strong.

Cons: The headset is a bit stocky and looks a bit funny when worn. If you're after style, this headset is definitely not for looks.

The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired for a $60-level product. Not as crisp, clear, and defined as it should be. The same can be said for the microphone.

Right out of the box and into the computer, there's an obnoxious little background buzz that is constantly going.

After some tests, I don't think that the headset responds to all the frequencies listed on the box--that is, about 15Hz up to 20kHz.

Other Thoughts: These considerations were written almost directly from out-of-box.

The headset is okay, but definitely not what I was expecting. There are other headsets for the same price that offer better quality. I cannot honestly offer an opinion that says this headset was worth the price paid for it.

5 out of 5 eggsComfortable and Loud

Pros: Braided cables, and a separate braided cable for the mix are an awesome feature. The ear pieces are comfortable, and do not cause any irritation after long use. Probably the best gaming headset i have purchased. The quality and design fits the price exceptionally well.

Cons: I did not deduct points for this, but the cable is a bit too long for my taste. However my set up has everything rather close so I imagine this "con" would become a perk should my set up be more...spacious.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh quality, comfortable, light

Pros: The sound quality is pretty good, and it fits around my ears with extra space to provide. The headset has velvet cushions which at first I thought was weird but now I love the feature; it's awesome and comfy. It has it's own volume control as well. The mic quality it good as well according to my friends whom use TS3 and Ventrilo often with me.

Cons: The headset overall is pretty large. Also the band beneath the plastic arc of the headset to help with it fitting properly on your head is rubber, which kinda hurts if you move the headset because it pulls on your hair.

Other Thoughts: In other comments people complain about the mic, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Just clip it to the headset's wire and you'll be fine.

3 out of 5 eggsMight want to look elsewhere

Pros: Detachable mic.
Easy on the head, little to no strain.
Pretty good sound quality.

Cons: Bleeds sound like you wouldnt believe!!!!
Anyone not wearing the headphones can hear what you're listening to. NO privacy whatsoever. I cant listen to mature music or rated R movies around my little sisters with these things. REALLY disappointing.

And from other peoples viewpoint, im sure its really annoying to be around someones noisy headphones! Im inflicting irritation on anyone nearby.

Feels fragile. Im worried I'll accidentally twist the cups too hard and they'll just snap.

Other Thoughts: These headphones aren't as featherlight as other reviews make you believe. Sure they ARE light, and easy on the head, but by no means do you "forget you were wearing them".

Its not a con, but these things are pretty big 'n bulky. IMO not exactly attractive to wear, but it gets the job done so who cares about looks right?

Mic is nice IMO. Its basically a completely different product thrown in with the headset. I like this becasue i only use a mic in 30% of my gaming, so i appreciate being able to just throw it out of the way. Sound seems high quality too.
For those of you who game witha mic a lot, this isnt for you. its an extra cord to bother you, and its a clip on, so jumping out of your seet to grap a quick snack between games becomes a hazard.

I would have RMA'd these things over the sound bleeding if I could, but i cant afford the $10 restocking fee :( So i'll be toughing it out and trying to get used to them.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Super comfortable, the auto-adjusting headband works great, it makes it feel like the ear cups are floating around your ears. They are HUGE, which is great since I have a large head. The sound is very good in games and music, and the I have been told the mic is very clear, even if it does pickup a bit of background noise.

I was actually surprised by the quality of the headset, it is all plastic, but seems to be made pretty durably. The Cables are all braided and match the color of the headset. The detached mic was a bit odd at first, but it works very well if you clip it on to the cable for the head set.

Cons: It's white so it does get dirty easily.

Other Thoughts: Great headset for the price, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality mid-range gaming headset.

5 out of 5 eggsLove 'em!

Pros: Very comfortable. They go completely around your ear. The sound is fantastic. The design of the part that goes around your ears is such that it sounds like you're actually listening to speakers on your desk. You can hear other things in the room as if you have no headphones on at all. This is great for me since I game with another person in the room with me. I actually forget that I even have these on.

Cons: The microphone that comes with it seems like it was an afterthought by the manufacturers. It's its own separate thing that has a clip on it. I clip it on to the headphone cord and then hang that over my other ear to get the mic to dangle just off my chin. That seems to be the only way for me to get it to pick up my voice well enough to use it.

Other Thoughts: The clumsiness of the mic is almost bad enough to get me to down grade this review a star. But I really love the sound and comfort of the headset. The part that I really love the most, is how well I can hear the sound from my computer AND the other sounds in the room. I can have a conversation with someone else in the room while still listening to the game and vent without a problem. I don't have to have one side off my ear to accomplish that like I do with my other headsets.

5 out of 5 eggsBig and Badass

Pros: Very comfortable. The size is huge. Band at top is very smooth and comfortable. Clear and loud.

Cons: The mic was a little hassle. I have a separate soundcard and I have a speaker system but a few tweaks got it working on both ends of the mic. Separate mic is odd to wear on clothing. I just clipped it on the headphone wire and twisted it to a good angle and worked fine.
