1 out of 5 eggsLeft mouse button die's in under two months on this FPS mouse.

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: The mouse was great when it was working properly.

Cons: Ventilation on this mouse is a gimmick ; as my primary reason for purchasing this mouse it did nothing to keep my hands cool. While this ultimately isn't a defect of the product, it is an assumed feature.

Left mouse button went out in under two months, I understand some products will naturally have defective parts .. I have never had any mouse lose functionality so quickly. As this is past the newegg replacement window and it can be considered standard wear and tear, I won't be able to have it replaced. I won't be buying another peripheral from this company in the future.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
The mouse is covered by a 2 year warranty. Please contact Customer Support to obtain RMA instructions to have the mouse replaced.

4 out of 5 eggsNOT for claw-grippers

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: Unlike what a couple people have mentioned in previous reviews, I disagree that anyone using a "claw"-style grip on their mouse will find this comfortable. I have large hands, and palming this mouse feels FAR more comfortable than trying to claw it. It's simply too long (unless you have hands like Shaq) to hold it that way. On that note, I think it's quite comfy to use, especially considering it's "exoskeleton" frame. The side buttons will certainly take a bit to get used to, but overall it hasn't been much of an issue for me. I've used a number of different gaming mice of all sorts of different shapes and sizes, so every mouse is going to feel different, regardless of which one you buy, how you grip a mouse, or the shape of the mouse itself. In regards to performance, I've had no issues whatsoever with any tracking issues, DPI adjustment issues, or anything else. The ability to change the LED colors is also pretty cool, although wasn't necessarily a major feature that I was looking for. The weight of this mouse is certainly a bit hefty due to its metal frame, and it kinda sucks that there's a complete lack of any weight adjustment, but the stock skates on the bottom do an excellent job of allowing the Level 10 to glide across your mousepad with ease.

Cons: The software is garbage, and should've never been packaged with this mouse in the first place. Thermaltake needs to up their game a bit in regards to that, but that's really the only issue I have with this mouse (so far). As mentioned above, the side buttons can certainly cause a few headaches for some people, as well as the large size, but consider yourself warned with this review (and many others).

Other Thoughts: BE WARNED: this mouse is HUGE. From the heel of my right hand to the tip of my middle finger, my hand measures roughly 8" in length. If your hand is substantially smaller than that, or you use a "claw"-style grip while using a mouse, this is definitely NOT for you. If you're willing to give your hand a chance to get used to the location of the side buttons, I think you'll be perfectly happy with this mouse.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: - The mouse has a very nice design and look, with it fitting in my hand very nicely
- has minor adjustability
- The thumb side buttons are nice

Cons: - The pinky side buttons are not easy to press
- The mouse I received has, what I consider, a near catastrophic flaw in terms of gaming. The mouse I received has its main trigger button (LMB) put together in a way so as to make a cringe-worthy squeak every time it is depressed. Not only is the squeak unbearable, but the button itself is much more difficult to press down.

Other Thoughts: Typically, a product like this would be replaced but as of yet I have not received even a conformation that the company is looking into my problem. Hopefully I can get this fixed, but up until then This review will stay negative.

2 out of 5 eggsMaybe I got a lemon

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: I'm a female, so I have smaller hands. This mouse fit me perfectly. It feels sturdy and it's incredibly responsive. I loved it while it worked.

Cons: About three months into owning it, it started randomly disconnecting from my computer. I thought maybe there was a problem with my USB port, so I tried it on my husband's computer - same problem.
A few weeks later, it stopped connecting all together. It's completely unresponsive. Probably a short or damaged wire inside. I've never store the cord bent or damaged the mouse in anyway, so it's a defect on the manufacturers end.

I emailed customer service three times and I've never heard back from anyone. I loved this mouse while it worked and I'm so disappointed that it didn't hold up. I spent a lot of money for a mouse that lasted 4 months.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Sound like bad soldering inside that mouse. We will replace defective unit through warranty service. Please contact our support team for RMA instructions.

1 out of 5 eggsA pattern of deception?

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: None. I have not been able to use this mouse at all, because I returned it immediately.

Cons: I ordered this mouse NEW, not an "open box" and certainly not a used item. I paid full price for it. I paid for next day shipping. When the mouse arrived, it was clearly a used item. And I don't mean a mouse that was unboxed, examined slightly, and then returned; I mean USED.

The mouse was not secured fully in the box (apparently the ties or whatever originally held it down were not replaced, and it was just clunking around under the transparent display plastic). There was the obvious outline of someone's sweaty index finger on the left mouse button. There was a crusty accretion around the palm area. The teflon feet on the mouse were scuffed up, showing signs of sliding around a mousepad, or some other surface.

Now, for an item I paid extra to have shipped next-day, I am waiting weeks to get the RMA process completed, over something that was entirely NewEgg's fault, just to get the item I ordered to begin with.

Other Thoughts: I have been a mostly-satisfied NewEgg customer for years. I have spent many thousands of dollars here. I was about to follow this purchase with an expensive, workstation video card, but after this recent experience, I have to seriously consider using a different vendor. Mistakes happen, yes, but trying to pass off a used item as new is just sleezy (check the other reviews--this happened to somebody else too).

4 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse, Love it

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: Adjustable sensitivity on the fly, nylon cord, distinct click for all buttons, easy to change colors, adjustable mouse tilt + height, heavy and built sturdy, good air flow between your hand and the mouse

Cons: Right mouse buttons on the side (2) can't really be used - they're just too far back for any fingers to reach, The scroll button is not smooth or can't be switched to smooth - the interval scroll is good for gaming/weapon switching but for internet browsing and likewise it just gets annoying

Other Thoughts: Had this mouse for a long time now and still love it. It's smooth, heavy, metal build, long mouse cord, very distinct, precise, I love it

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after three months

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: Adjustable, comfortable for people with large hands

Very accurate and very solid. Doesn't flex when clicked like other mice

Looks great

Cons: Failed after three months. At first it would disconnect every now and then, however the problem got worse over time. Now every time I plug it in the light on the mouse comes on for about three seconds, then shuts off and I get an error "USB device not recognized" on Windows systems.

This occurs regardless of operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) and drivers (generic/basic USB mouse drivers or the TT drivers and software). I cannot reinstall the firmware because the mouse doesn't stay connected long enough to update the firmware, nor does Windows recognize it to be able to push the firmware to it.

I contacted customer support because others have mentioned the same problem here, attempted several times over the course of a few months. Never got a call back or email back. Nothing.

Due to my warranty being up on it soon with no help in sight, I decided to take it apart to see what's going on with it (I thought possibly there was a cold solder joint or the USB connector was loose). No damage/QC issues with any of the electronic components or anything, I believe simply the firmware corrupted itself.

Other Thoughts: Final verdict: A very pretty, very expensive paperweight.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mouse

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: It has a good weight. Scroll wheel doesn't have those stupid left and right buttons when you push the wheel side to side. The software works and I haven't had issues with it.

Cons: To long for my hands. I'm a claw gripper. If it was about 20cm shorter it would be perfect for me. Also the four side button are an annoyance at times when I move the mouse side to side. If the smaller side buttons where removed or moved further back it would be perfect.

Other Thoughts: This review focuses on my style of use. If you are a palm gripper then this mouse should be perfect for you.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this mouse

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: - Heavy mouse
- adjustable DPI on the fly
- sick colours
- smooth movement, comfortable hand fit
- able to adjust structure (tilt, rise)
- customizable software/mapping
- nylon wrapping around cord

Cons: - right side buttons are not easily accessible when needed for quick response
- mouse wheel is not fluid, "spins" only in intervals (good or bad depending)

Other Thoughts: Owned this mouse for awhile now and I'm truly impressed. The built quality is superb, its heavy and solid. The only little part that feels plasticy is the DPI adjustment button. The movement is smooth and it just feels right. I never have a problem with tracking on any surface (I don't use a mousepad). Would definitely purchase again if this ever died on me.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's an OKAY mouse

This review is from: Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M USB Laser Gaming Mouse - Diamond Black

Pros: The mouse is very well balanced, the buttons are too big on the sides, the grip is nice. The ability to change LCD was pretty cool and have it rotating.

Cons: I unfortunately bought this mouse when it first came out for $99.99 and I was like, okay this mouse has to be the mouse for me right? Well IT was... for a little, until I realize that the weight of the mouse is a bit excessive. Along with that, when I have to pick up the mouse and move it, I can see my cursor moving, even when I don't have anything underneath it, (like if I shake the mouse.) I also have a rattling sound in my mouse where it sounds like something got dislodged.

The mouse could be a lot better, I've had mice that could take a lot of damage, especially with traveling. This mouse hasn't even lasted a quarter of the length of cheaper mice.

There was also an issue with the double click that had to be addressed with a software patch which sorta kinda helped it.

Other Thoughts: The mouse is great, but I was going to use this for gaming, and for that. I will say, look somewhere else, because this mouse is more of a casual user then a gamer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
The lift off distance can be adjusted through the Level 10 gaming mouse software. Additionally if there are any damages caused due to a manufacture defect, please contact Customer Service who will help you to remedy the issue.
