5 out of 5 eggsHad one since 2001

Pros: I have had an earlier version of this headset since 2001. (Bought it at a local computer shop) The mic finally broke after much abuse only a few weeks ago.

Cons: Altec Lansing has stopped manufacturing this line of products....

Other Thoughts: If i could find an other set of these it would be an instant buy. Great product!

3 out of 5 eggsThey won't last. . . .

Pros: It works great for communication applications such as skype, ventrillo, teamspeak, etc. I'd say I used this product everyday for a few hours and it worked great for... I wanna say six months. But the good thing is, you can call the company that manufactures this product and return it for a new one.
-Good sound input/output
-You can always return it to manufacturer if it breaks

Cons: So I'm talking to one of my friends on ventrillo and we're playing a game with each other and all of a sudden he can't hear me! The mic broke. Trust me, I'm not the only one who's had this problem. Also, the little clicker that lets you adjust the mic wears out and goes all the way down nowadays so you might need to tape it up.
-Mic stops working for no reason
-The clicker that's used to adjust the height of the mic gets worn out right quick

Other Thoughts: Good call Tyler - Kaan
Good call Jorge - Tyler
Good call Kaan - Jorge

5 out of 5 eggsA very good headset for the price

Pros: The headphones are very comfortable. A little stiff in the new box, but nothing a good few hours won't break in. Microphone quality is 8/10. Sound quality is 9/10. Overall, for the price, you can't beat this headset. The best value for your buck.

Cons: Nothing worth noting.

Other Thoughts: I had the earlier version of this headset, the AHS202. It was just as good as the AHS322 is. I bought this BECAUSE I wanted the exact headset, no improvement in quality, but thats ok with me because I got exactly what I wanted.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good headset

Pros: Cheap. Okay mic output quality. Comfortable.

Cons: Medicore sound quality. Thin foam on the ear coupling.

Other Thoughts: Didn't buy it from newegg but from my local best buy. Lasted about an year until the right sound went out.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a good buy

Pros: Lightweight, comfortable enough for hours of wearing it. The mic sounds good to others on teamspeak and ventrillo I'm told. I never noticed a sound quality problem, but I use them for gaming like BF2 and COD4, so it's just war sounds, not a symphony or something.

Cons: The mic boom adjustment clicky thing wears out eventually and the mic wants to fall down. I fixed it with a piece of scotch tape and went another few months.

Other Thoughts: I've been happy with it. Only reason I had to buy a second one is because I went to walk away from computer and had cord wrapped on my foot. I pulled the wire out of the mic plug accidentally.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap, _very_ comfortable, decent microphone quality

Cons: sound quality is lacking. this isn't to say it's unbarable, but it isn't the best at all. the construction is cheap but for the most part durable. the volume knob is odd, makes static as you turn up/down the sound, and the microphone on mine completely stopped working for no apparent reason one day (after roughly 4-6 of use)

Other Thoughts: they finally died after almost a year of use today. I was most certainly satisfied with them during that time. granted i had to tape the volume control back together and i ran over the cord so many times that i finally nearly cut it in half. this is what lead to the demise of my headphones. for how cheap they are, i would gladly buy them over and over as needed. they perform excellently, the microphone is great for voice chat, and most importantly they are SO comfortable after long durations of use (and my friend who suggested them to me suggested them for this reason)

4 out of 5 eggsNice for Price

Pros: Price, sound quality. looks. long cord, gold plated plugs. Lightweight. mic easily adjustable. stays put.

Cons: Kinda flimsy construction. You will have to take care of these. The cord is thin, earpads thin, the left earpiece popped off, popped right back on. Works great with skype.

Other Thoughts: If I get reasonable longevity with these I'll be happy with the purchase. Worth the price.
