4 out of 5 eggsworks ok

Pros: cheap but sound good. Maybe not like being in the studio but what do you really expect. I hope you're not dumb enough to buy these to write music reviews. They're freakin ear buds man.

Cons: the cord is a tad bit short. not terrible but just a little short

Other Thoughts: The ear buds are foam covered with what appears to be silicone. I personally prefer the all silicone type. Minor quibble.

4 out of 5 eggsBest in ear bang/buck

Pros: I bought these in purple and love em'. Hehe.
Moddable. (I especially recommend the Kramer mod)

Cons: sort of uncomfortable after a long use.
Bass is a bit too much when I first used them (although the kramer mod fixes this).

Other Thoughts: Good earbuds. Totally recommend them.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: Wow. Much much better than the stockers Apple gives you with the iPod. I put them in on the ride home. Cant even hear my pipes on my truck with these things in. Once i got home, pluged them in... very nice sounding, played a variety of songs to find the range of these. Plays deep rich bass in rock and roll, plays the bump and low freq. beats in rap songs. Classic rock sounds sound very good aswell. Mids and highs are exceptionaly good. I have the Bose stereo in my truck, these are deffinatly comparable in a stand point from sound. And for 20 bucks, you cant beat it. You will be happy if you buy these for yourself.

Cons: Cord is a wee bit short. As I am 6'2", its a little short to have my iPod in my pocket and not have them tugging on your ears. But, I will only be using these for plane rides and over the road trips so no biggy.

Other Thoughts: One thing I noticed, the ear piece foam seems slimy.. All I did was wipe it off on my under shirt. Other than that, very soild piece from JVC. You will not be dissapointed.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Ear Buds!

Pros: These things are really comfortable. They conform for the shape of your ear with foam so there's no sharp plastic sticking in your ear or anything. If youre like me with weird shaped ears where "regular" earbuds just fall out with the slightest breeze, youre gonna want these.

They cancel out surrounding noise pretty well too. Almost too well if you can call that a pro =). They come with spare foam things too, but I've never needed them.

Also, these things are TOUGH! Once these people jumped me while I was wearing these. The ear buds came out but were still attached to the mp3 player. I got away cause I ran like hell. These things were dragged, kicked around and stomped on, for who knows how long before I stopped (keep in mind, its not a regular jog around the neighborhood, this was an adrenaline fueled sprint). When I checked them later they still worked like perfect.

Cons: The foam parts might get stiff during the winter time. It's not a big deal though. Once you stick them in and your body temperature warms them up it'll shape to your ear.

Also the ones I bought a year and a half ago were too thick to fit an iPhone. Since then however they've thinned them out so they should fit now. Good news to you iPhones users. I for one, think that ear buds made by a certain fruit bearing logo company are rather uncomfortable.

Other Thoughts: As I said before they lasted about a year and a half before they gave out. But it didnt go without a fight. They still work, except the vocals were gone. To me they were as good as broken, but a friend of mine was able to use them. (they're worth more to him that way)

But thats not to say that all pairs are gonna break down like this. I just happen to be lucky I think. I'm saying this to tell you how tenacious these things are.

It should be noted that I'm not a huge music buff that can hear a pin drop on the other side of the room or anything. What I vouch for in this review is comfort and durability. These were decent enough for the casual music listener such as myself.

4 out of 5 eggsGood headphones

Pros: Good quality sounding headphones for a good price. Fit comfortably in my ear and block out sounds around me. Reasonable price.

Cons: It would be nice if the cord was a little longer

Other Thoughts: I bought a pair of these from Walmart and lost them in a move. I like the headphones so much I bought another pair from Newegg...just because Newegg rox!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat earphones for a great price

Pros: I got these earphones for christmas and I have been happy with them since. Strong bass (I myself am a bassist so this is extra nice), strong mids and strong highs. Although I didn't need them, they came with extra marshmellows. Cord length is perfect, etc.

Cons: no real cons

Other Thoughts: Ran over them with my car by accident and they still worked perfectly. Too bad I just lost them... guess I have to buy another pair!
Obviously these won't be as good as other earphones that cost hundreds more, but then again, these are dirt cheap in comparison

2 out of 5 eggsWay off bass

Pros: Cheap. Clear highs.

Cons: Absolutely no bass. Midrange is just okay. Sounds very tinny. Uncomfortable earpieces.

Other Thoughts: Great for bassophobes.

I bought these to replace my iPod earbuds which were falling apart. I didn't expect much for the price, but I expected them to sound better than the iPod earbuds. Nope. When I first used them, I thought the connection or fit was bad because there was no bass...even with equalization. The drivers are just to small to move any air whatsoever.

Anyone wanna buy some slightly used headphones? Only $25!
