3 out of 5 eggsNot impressed

Pros: Good selection of ear pads, good fit, good sound.

Cons: Poor to non-existent noise cancelling.

Other Thoughts: I've tried these in both a cube farm as well as a couple of long flights. The noise cancelling does reduce low droning noise, but does nothing to reduce anything else. I found I got more noise cancellation from the good fit, than from the active noise cancellation. I might buy them again for the fit & sound, certainly not for the noise cancellation.

4 out of 5 eggsI like them

Pros: I use them while flying and am very pleased. They remove background noise very well. You can still hear other passenger voices but I have yet to find any noise cancelling headset able to remove that.

Cons: The cord could be a little longer but they are still very usable.

1 out of 5 eggsscam

Pros: None. They work like standard ear buds, which you can get free when you buy an mp3 player.

Cons: Noise canceling doesn't work in any way shape or form.

4 out of 5 eggsGood ear buds at a fantastic price.

Pros: After opening the package, I immediately went and stood by my woodstove, with the external fan turned as high as it would go. The earbuds fit snuggly in my ear canal, blocking a good amount of noise on their own. I then cycled the power switch for the noise cancelling on, then off about 3 or 4 times. I'd say the electronic noise cancelling cut the noise level by 65-75%. Certainly a significant amount. Like many others, I will be using these for outdoor work, the majority of the time, and I can run the snowblower with my music at the same listening level, as if I were in a quiet room.
The way the earbud fits snugly in the ear canal, contributes to an overall good sound. I have not had these for very long, but initially I am happily impressed, particularly at this price.

Cons: The compartment for the battery should be further up the cord, or further down. It has a clip on it, but it is too short to reach your beltline, so it hangs and tries to pull the earbuds out.

Other Thoughts: Initially impressed... they're not perfect, but they work well.

4 out of 5 eggsSounds great!

Pros: - Really good audio right off the bat.
- The long thick barrel buds (one of the many that come with it) are perfect in terms of comfort and blocking out noise.
- Noise reduction is hard to notice until you get on the subway and find yourself not having to pause when it gets too loud to hear.

Cons: - The heavy dangly battery pack is an inconvenience, but you can clip it to your jacket. I guess it is a trade off to not wearing bulky headsets with the battery in one ear.

3 out of 5 eggsThese are okay.

Pros: They fit well, and the rubber pieces you can attach for securing the phones over-the-ear is useful. The sound is fine.

Cons: I was unimpressed with the noise reduction. I got these to use on airplane flights, and I found the noise reduction barely noticeable. A better choice for noise reduction is the audio-technica ath-anc3.

1 out of 5 eggsNot very good

Pros: Build seems ok.

Cons: Very short cord from the main section (battery/electronics/clip)
If this was meant to be a belt clip, you would have to be 3 feet tall. The noise reduction is negligable. I bought this instead of the Sony. I got cheap, WRONG! Sony sounds better with grest NR. Better ergo too. I know I had 2 Sonys. Stepped on one, and broke the belt clip on the other. (same lousy clip on this one)

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: I love these headphones. The standard earpieces are very comfortable and stay in my ears very well. I like the detachable ear loop too.
The electronic noise reduction is really pretty impressive. It cancels out almost all engines or motors. I use these for yard work and they are absolutely amazing. You can absolutely hear the difference when you turn on the noise reduction.

Cons: Like all noise cancelling headphones they don't do a very good job of cancelling out human speech. Don't expect them to silence everyone around you. These headphones are best with low frequency and repetitive noise like engines and motors.

I definitely agree with the other reviewer who said the highs were strident. The high frequencies really don't sound that great through these headphones. They sound like they are too loud. It is more noticeable when there isn't much background noise. With a lot of noise it seems to balance it out.
The bass is pretty good. Not amazing though.

Other Thoughts: Overall I love these headphones because of the active electronic noise cancellation. I basically only use these for yard work (Which I do a lot of). These buds allow me to hear all frequencies of my music without cranking up the volume.

I would not spend this much money if I was only going to use these in low noise places. I would spend less for a pair of skullcandy non noise reduction ear buds which would sound better.

2 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: The memory foam does block some noise.

Cons: I could not tell the difference when I turned on the electronic noise cancellation. Also, the bass is very weak.

Other Thoughts: This is the first noise cancelling headphones that I have bought, so I do not have anything to compare it to.

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Worthy

Pros: As you may already know, the main pro is the active noise reduction. It does what it says, and I am very impressed at how much it actually cancels out. It cancels out mostly the lower frequencies, such as the appliance hum or wind. I use these when I fly, slip them in under my headset, making it a cheap alternative to active noise reducing headphones. They cannot effectively cancel out the human voice, which makes them ideal for listening to the air-to-air communications in my area. The passive does most of the work, even better when you take off what they have already on there and slip on the memory foam coverings. I also use these for lawn work by themselves, and I can't hear the mower or edger when it's on, I must rely on the vibrations they send through the handle, which is amazing!

Cons: At higher volume, the bass on these tend to cancel out all other parts of the song that I listen to, making it quite an annoyance. Other than that, These are 5-egg worthy.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to watch for people trying to get your attention when wearing these combined with music, because it happened to me and nearly hit them with a rock while edging!
