1 out of 5 eggsPointless garbage

Pros: The only pro I found was the ear pieces fit my ear and were fairly comfortable. But removing the ear piece for the battery port, I couldn't put it back the way it was before.

Cons: I am the second reviewer to receive this unit without any accessories, such as the wireless transmitter, battery (only JVC battery works with the headphone), ac adapter. But Newegg support was very nice, and refunded me for the headphones.
JVC customer support is pointless, their representatives are careless. Aside that, they also cant replace any parts, you need to purchase them. The wireless transmitter alone is $80 and battery is another $8. So even if someone purchases the original one and loses the transmitter, the headphone is worthless.

Other Thoughts: The headphones battery port is inside an ear foam piece which if you open its almost impossible to put back on. The charger port is on one side, and you have to put it very carefully and precisely on the dock to charge it. The headphone's design isnt attractive or appealing.
If your looking for a wireless headphone, I think its best to avoid this product.

1 out of 5 eggsripp-off

Pros: There aren't any.

Cons: Ripped off.

Other Thoughts: Ordered this recertified. I knew it could be missing pieces, but thought it had to be functional to a point. I got no cables, no charger so item is useless. I figured it might come without cables or the manual...but no charger?? Customer service said to bad, you can return it (of course there are fees involved). In the past they would've sent a missing piece. After what I've spent, they've lost a customer over $15.

4 out of 5 eggsItem works fine if you know what you're doing

Pros: Wireless, extremely comfortable for several hours, very inexpensive, sound quality is fairly good.

Cons: The instruction book is a joke. Somewhere it needs to explain how to get the best sound quality. Also it doesn't say how long you need to charge them before the first use.

Other Thoughts: If you buy these headphones they will work great IF and ONLY IF you follow these directions. Whatever device you are using them on, turn that device volume all the way to max, then slightly adjust the volume on the HEADPHONES to reach your optimal volume. I get zero static , or background fuzz.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Cheap, comfortable, sound alright. As long as your listening to music, you wont hear much static. Works from my living room to my bedroom, which is about 30' and out of direct line of site.

Cons: First set came DOA. Second set also seemed DOA, but after holding down the call button for several seconds, they came to life. Don't know why this worked because there's nothing in the manual about it. First set most likely wasn't DOA.

Other Thoughts: The first set sent to me by Newegg did not include any accessories. No power cord, no audio cables, nothing but the base and headphones. After an RMA, the new set came in a JVC box with all of the accessories and a manual.

4 out of 5 eggsKeeps the neighbors happy.

Pros: Comfortable on the noggin. Keeps outside interferance noise to a minimum.

Cons: The sound sucks. They have the fidelity of a pull string doll talking. There is a constant hiss of static.

Other Thoughts: It keeps my neighbors from getting torqued. When I want to watch tv late at night and the paper thin apartment walls don't cut down the found, they are a life saver.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage.

Pros: None. Seriously.

Cons: They're noisy. Lots of static and buzzing noises. The signal is terrible, and I'm only sitting 2' feet away from the base. They're completely unusable.

Other Thoughts: 10 hour use, 30 hour charge time.

1 out of 5 eggsAnother DOA

Pros: Fast Newegg shipping. 900MHz wireless (if functional). The charging cradle would have been cool if it worked. Very good price for recertified product.

Cons: DOA. I'm wondering if the recertification was only done on the headphones and not on the base. The base station apears to be defective as it will not consitantly recognise power or charge the headphones when they are properly connected. Even if the headphones worked, I would still be questioning my purchase as the headphones are surprisingly large and heavy. Be weary.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: The headphones feel very comfortable and cover the ears nicely. There is a large power switch and autoscan buttons on the headset along with 3 frequency choices on the base. There is also a page feature which is supposed to allow you to talk to the person who is listening on the wireless phones.

Cons: The item was DOA. Would not charge batteries (which were standard 1.2v AAA rechargeable batteries, even though they tell you not to use anything but THEIR overpriced batteries) The way the base is made, it is not particularly easy to set the phones to charge and the phones kind of 'flop' on the base and are easily dislodged from the charge base while charging.
I was able to use a special NiCAD charger to charge the batteries enough to get a power light on the headphone and all I could hear was static. If I changed the frequency on the base I could hear a click (so I know they were communicating on some level) but no sound.

Finally putting the batteries into the headset is not straighforward. You have to remove the padded cloth cover on one ear and the batteries go in there (hidden) but getting the pad back on, while not impossible, is not real convenient or easy. Mediocre design.

Other Thoughts: For JVC, these seem a bit CHEAPly made. While I really like how comfy the phones are to wear, the unit seems a bit cheesy.

I own a JVC HD TV and a JVC home theater system which both are outstanding in quallity and function. Needless to say, I expected more from this headset even at the low price.
