The Koss Race Tracker black headphone is an extra-durable headphone that delivers amazing passive noise reduction. The Race Tracker was initially designed for use with racing radio scanners and metal detectors users, and provided a behind-the-head headband design. Since then, the Race Tracker has become a favorite for a wide range of listeners who need to cut high levels of ambient noise and do not want the constraints of a conventional headband.

Rating: 4/5A bit uncomfortable, but otherwise nice
This review is from: KOSS Race Tracker Black QZ5 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Passive Noise Reduction Headphone
Pros: 1. Abosolutely fantastic noise cancellation. They're not silence chambers, but I can't hear my phone when it's right infront of me sometimes.
2. Nice long, thick springed cord. Guaranteed to last a LOT longer than those skimpy noodle-thin cords companies insist on giving really expensive headphones.
3. On-headphone volume adjustment, which is really useful when you don't want to mess with program settings, or things are suddenly just a little too low/loud.
4. The stereo/mono switch is useful as well, when you're not dealing with L/R or surround sound.
Cons: The metal band that goes behind your head is a little too concave. As in it really squeezes your head if you don't have a tiny head. I'm in the process of trying to make their bend angle a little more obtuse, so instead of a "C" they're a "(".
For me, out of the box, wearing them for about 30 minutes caused me to have a headache and I had to take them off to allow circulation to continue normally.
Other Thoughts: If you're okay with attempting to bend tough metal while attached to your headphones to loosen their grip on your head I'd reccomend these in a heartbeat.
If you're looking for really comfortable headphones I would look elsewhere, but if you want great noise reduction with a durable build and cord, these are the ones for you.
