5 out of 5 eggsGood headset

Pros: I owned these for over a year, used them extensively everyday. I also ran them over with my computer chair numerous times. Good sound, and the mic works very well.
After having a Logitech set for the past 6months (2 of them, which have both failed now) I am going to buy these again.

Cons: For a women, they are HUGE! I had a hard time keeping them on my head on the smallest setting.

Other Thoughts: After a about a year the sound became very tiney and low volume on highest setting.

I wish headphone manufacturers would make headsets with thicker cords! the cord always gets nicked, or chewed on my my many snarky cats :0

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: This headset works much better than my old logitech did. The audio is much clearer over the speakers. Also the sound quality from the mic is SO much better than what I had before. I am using this on Kubuntu 8.10 and using with Skype.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: I got this headset to replace my old logitech headset which finally died after 2 years and I'm glad I purchased this headset. Sound is amazing, its comfortable to wear for long periods of time and it doesn't feel like its gonna break it I bend it.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for 30 dollars

Pros: Bought these from a local BB after looking for sub 50 dollar headsets.Sound is awesome compared to a few other headsets I have used.IS Comfortable, but my head is larger than most people's.
Rather decent mic quality.Comfortable for me.

Cons: Loud to Quiet ratio - when You're playing something like Call of Duty,Fallout 3,War Rock(yes I play War Rock),or any of the Battlefields the louder noises such as artillery, tank shells,or grenades can drown out what your clan-mates are saying on ventrilo. Also, the quality goes down when you are speaking louder into the mic.
Cheaper on Newegg - was out of stock when I bought these.
IMO a bit light, but then again they really should not be heavy.Others can trip over the wire and rip off the headset, not fun.

Other Thoughts: Anyone want to give me their Phenom II or Core 2 Penryn? :(

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Let me preface by saying that I do not have the 650, I have the 350. The only difference between the two models is the usb adapter (which I have from a previous plantronics purchase).

This headset will not disappoint you. Sound for games and music is simply amazing. The microphone positions close enough to the mouth and I never have any complaints of people not being able to hear me. They're very comfortable to wear and do reduce outside noises very, very well.

I used to play in a lot of bands and have done a lot of studio recording and live performances. You will not find this quality of sound reproduction in this price range hardly ever. To get studio headphones that sound similar you will have to go out and spend $200+ so just buy them already. You know it's cheaper and better quality than other overpriced "gaming" headsets.

Cons: Heavy... They're comfortable, but you know they're there.

Style.... you look like a dork. Just get over it -I did. Everyone is already laughing anyway.

Good product... they make newegg con reviews very short... darn you plantronics... why do you have to make such an awesome product??!!??!!

Other Thoughts: I bought mine from a local blue and yellow retail chain because I didn't want to wait for shipping. I plugged them into my computer and they just sound so much better than normal headphones. The next best thing would have to be in-ear studio monitors.... buy these, you definitely won't regret it!

As a side note... the usb dongle that comes with these is plug and play, so, with Vista that means no need for drivers. The dongle does stick pretty far out of the usb port, so if you're using these through usb on a system that is mobile or would have potential to bump the usb port... make sure to buy a small usb male to female extension cable... local dollar stores have them by me, not sure by you.

4 out of 5 eggsacceptable

Pros: Has 1/8" plugs, one for mic, one for headphones. Comes with USB audio adapter, which has two 1/8" jacks in it, one for mic, one for headphones. Mic works well, quite adjustable.

Cons: Bass is a little elevated and muddy. Fine for gaming, not recommended for music.

Cons: left speaker quit working after about 8 months...

Other Thoughts: like i said good for a while.... but then again i am hard on head sets i got about 8 broken ones in the closet...if your careful with it, it might last longer... great budget head set much better than the logitech ones i was using before...

3 out of 5 eggsGood headset

Pros: Decent sound quality.
Plenty of cable.
Excellent mic.
Small design.

Cons: If you wear glasses they will start to hurt your ears after 45 minutes - 1 hour. The speakers are missing some highs. USB dongle is a waist since my Creative X-Fi card has much better quality.

Other Thoughts: I wear glasses and I couldn't deal with the pain it causes during extended use so I returned it for the GameCom 777. Much better if your willing to shell out the money for it.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent, reliable, just slightly uncomfortable

Pros: Good sound quality, just a teeny bit harsh (I'm an audiophile), and kind of lacking in the very high frequency range. Good sounding bass, just not enough of it. Note: The sound quality can be GREATLY enhanced if you have an Equalizer on your computer's sound card, because these babies can handle a LOT of bass. In that case, you plug the headset into the sound card and leave the microphone plugged into the USB adapter that they give you. The microphone quality is the best I've ever heard on a headset. Mark my words: if you want the best microphone available on any headset, get a USB Plantronics headset. It doesn't get much better. Their mics are warm, natural-sounding, and almost noiseless, especially when used with their USB adapter.

Cons: After long hours of use, the earpads tend to cause discomfort. When i bent my mic one time after owning the headset for many months, it now does not stay where i bent it to unless it is not extended (the QuickAdjust). Not a big deal, just thought I would throw that in there.

Other Thoughts: Great headset. Highly recommended if you're on a budget. I'm a gamer and wanted something with an amazing microphone and good sound quality, and that's exactly what Plantronics is providing here. If you want to step up, the new GameCom 777 is an awesome headset, as is the .Audio 770, although I've heard the 770's mic tends to loosen to the point that it keeps falling down during use, so do some research first before buying the 770. The 650 is definitely an excellent choice for a gamer/music listener on a budget. Grab one.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad- but uncomfortable for long use

Pros: Pretty good audio and mic quality. Decent set for the money...

Cons: I found these to be pretty uncomfortable (more than the other sets I have)- especially for long periods of time. And it's even worse since I wear glasses... Just seems they are a bit tight (and I don't have THAT big of a head!)... they are fine for short term use, but more than an hour or two and they were pretty painful on the ears...

Other Thoughts: Probably a better than average set for most folks (at a decent price)... I just can't get past the ear pain... switching to another set...
