3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Surround Sound, Excellent Microphone, High Quality Design and Packaging

Cons: Uncomfortable, Overall Sound Quality

Other Thoughts: I bought these headphones despite what other reviewers were saying about how uncomfortable they are. Unfortunately, they were right. In as little as 15-20 min., these headphones being to feel uncomfortable and just plain hurt to wear. If the sound quality of the headphones were good, I'd overlook the discomfort, but the sound isn't that amazing. I consider myself a bit of an audiophile, but even I can get by with a pair of $20 Skullcandy earbuds--those earbuds sound better than these $300 headphones. It sounds like I'm listening to everything through a pair of tin cans, if that makes any sense. It just isn't worth the price at all. Fortunately, I bought these on sale, so I'm not completely disappointed. As of right now, they're all I have, so that's why I'm keeping them.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: I got this headset as a christmas gift and I absolutely love it. They sound amazing, at least for music; I haven't gamed with them yet. I'm not feeling the "uncomfortable-ness" others have talked about and I have pretty big ears and piercings. I also received a pair of GUNNAR glasses (I'm wearing the gunnars and the headset as i write this review) and I don't find wearing both at the same time at all uncomfortable.

Cons: None, so far. I'll play some games tomorrow and see how they sound and how the comfort is wearing the headset and the glasses for a few hours.

1 out of 5 eggsHeadset

Pros: Sound is good

Cons: Worst fit of any headset I have owned. The Fit is too tight, ear cups are too shallow and too small in overall diameter.

Other Thoughts: Would be a great headset if they fit well.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound. Pain to wear

Pros: Great surround sound (not real 7.1 though). The look is authentic. Bought this headset solely for ARMA 3. I'm able to precisely pinpoint where the fire and explosions, even footstep or sound of enemy changing mag. Microphone quality is sensational. The case that comes with these are very high end and sturdy.

Cons: This headset is painful to wear, i can't leave it on for more than half an hour. The ear-cups keeps falling down and lay on top of my ears, never stay where they're supposed to be no matter how many times you fix them. Pressure points on the headband gives me headache. Ear-cups cushions aren't thick enough, even when the earcups aren't on top of my ears, the inside presses against my ears still, very annoying.

Other Thoughts: Even with all the features and the sound and mic quality that come with the headset, i dont think it's worth the pain from wearing these.

3 out of 5 eggsFlawless speakers and mic but uncomfortable

Pros: The soundcard offers 7.1 dolby surround sound which is no joke. The speakers are absolutely flawless and the mic is honestly just as good. The mic is very long, sturdy and highly adjustable, complete with noise-cancellation. It really makes the difference in a loud room (with fans etc.). The cable is more than an adequate length and offers a quick-disconnect which can be converted into a 3.5mm jack with ease. This headset's build quality is honestly far beyond any headset I have encountered (Astro A40s, Steelseries V2, LT Blackshark, TB Seven and many more high-end headsets)
The specs and build quality are truly HIGH end.
And the style of this headset is awesome. I look like a bomber.

Cons: So why did I give it 3/5 stars? Because it's uncomfortable. The headset's comfort is truly the only drawback. The ear-cups are a fine comfortable leather but they're just too narrow and shallow(I don't have big ears). Alone, this ear-cup's flaw doesn't serve as problematic as one would think, but it's accompanied with not being able to adjust the height of the headset. Once the headset is on your head, it WILL slide down, thus putting weight on your ears. (unless you have it fully extended anyways) To counter this, I use a hat while wearing the headset so I only have to deal with the narrow ear-cups when I plan on playing for long hours. And after wearing them for 6+ hours my ears are always sore. Without the hat my ears get sore at about 3 hours.

Other Thoughts: In conclusion, I would still say I like this headset. I definitely think it's worth the $150. Spec and build wise, you will not find a better headset, especially any cheaper than $150.
So, if you think you handle the ear pain (or have a massive head and small ears) and/or don't mind wearing a hat or beanie, definitely go for it.

Pro tip: take the velcro band off

5 out of 5 eggsBig Upgrade

Pros: The sound quality is amazing!
Its more bass than the turtle beaches I had before, but not more than some other 80-100$ headsets
The mic quality is stupid good
When you put the headset on, everything around you goes quiet, no static feed back or anything

Cons: More bass?

Other Thoughts: Best headset ive ever owned.
great Sound? check
great Mic? check
inline controls? check

They say it hurts your head to wear, it honestly feels like any other mike ive worn. yet, softer
feels quality and sturdy
if its too tight for you, it comes in a handy little case, when your not wearing it just put around the case
in a few days it will be a loose for ya!

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice headset

Pros: -Very sturdy
-Form follows function
-mic is awesome
- my phone can power it!

Also, i see a lot of complaints about the comfort level of these headphones. I find them to be quite comfortable, and they do not slide down on my head. they do put some pressure on my ears, but its slight.

Cons: -if you listen to dubstep, you will not like these headphones
- cant hear self through mic via the headphones themselves
-mic isn't removable
-they make your friends envious

Other Thoughts: they are DEFINITELY worth what I paid for them on black Friday.

5 out of 5 eggsPlantronics Gaming Headset

Pros: Best Headset I've ever owned.
-Comfortable
-Good Speaker quality
-Fantastic Construction
-Mute/ volume control
-Dolby card can be used with other headsets

Cons: -Cost (payback period)
-Lack of custom patches

Other Thoughts: I'll only speak to the cons. One of the things they tout is custom patches for the headband, yet you can't find any of them. The price was another concern. Depending on how long you use these will determine if it was worth it for you. I personally have used mine for several months with heavy usage, so it has by and large been a great purchase for myself.
